2-Star Hotels in Bukhara Region, Uzbekistan

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Boutique Old City, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of my trip. Perfectly located in the heart of the old town, the hotel offers convenient access to major historical attractions, local restaurants, and vibrant الأسواق, all within walking distance. This made it incredibly easy to explore the cultural charm of the city without needing transportation. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm hospitality of the staff. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and the team went out of their way to ensure I felt welcomed. They were always ready to assist with recommendations, directions, and even small personal requests, which added a thoughtful touch to the overall experience. The room itself was beautifully designed, blending traditional aesthetics with modern comfort. It was clean, cozy, and well-maintained, with attention to detail in both décor and amenities. The bed was especially comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after long days of sightseeing. I also appreciated the quiet atmosphere despite the central location, which can often be a challenge in busy areas. One of the standout features of Boutique Old City is its charming courtyard. It provides a peaceful space to relax, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, and soak in the historical ambiance. In the mornings, breakfast was served with a variety of local and international options. Everything was fresh and delicious, and it was a great way to start the day. Another aspect worth mentioning is the hotel’s authenticity. Unlike larger chain hotels, Boutique Old City offers a more intimate and culturally immersive experience. The architecture and interior design reflect the heritage of the region, allowing guests to feel more connected to the destination. Overall, my stay at Boutique Old City exceeded expectations. It combines excellent location, friendly service, and comfortable accommodation in a way that truly enhances the travel experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and authentic stay in the old city.

From the outside, it doesn't look like much, but once you enter, it's like another world! First the room. Beds are very comfortable, the bathroom is adequate size, and the towels (on the first night) are so so soft. Room is very clean. Hotel decoration and design makes you feel like you are staying in a traditional home. Breakfast is ok, not a lot of meat choices, but plenty of cakes. Location is perfect. Literally just steps from Lyabi-Khaus, but on a side lane, so it is very quiet. The reception staff are very friendly, helpful, and has lovely smiles

I am so glad to have chosen this guesthouse. It was our best experience among all the other hotels. The owner, Iha, was so hospitable. The rooms were not big given that there were 3 beds but it was comfortable. The toilet was clean and comfortable. Beautifully decorated too. I was having sinus problems and Iha made a pot of mint tea for me, complimentary. Very kind! He also took us on a tour to the Summer Palace. Som reviews has said it was difficult to locate. That’s because the entrance is facing a side lane. I am putting a pic here so that you can recognise how it look like as your taxi drive past.

A very pleasant bonus was the transfer to and from the train station! Old Street Guesthouse became our home for two days! A clean and beautiful three-room apartment with a separate entrance to the toilet and bathroom. Comfortable beds with soft mattresses and pillows, fluffy carpets on the floor. There was water in the cooler at any time! The breakfast was superb with homemade pastries, delicious scrambled eggs, watermelon, cherry jam, meat pancakes, and coffee. We – three girlfriends from Russia – loved everything!

Warm and cozy locally run hotel. Sit perfectly in the old town . Host kindly arrange car pick up from train station and the car stopped just in front of the hotel (not all hotels are accessible by car in the old town as the area is protected . Many visitors need to drag their luggage for some distance or pay a golf car) . It might not be the big chain hotel but every gesture is sweet and warm . In my departure day it was so early , the host still arranged a car transfer plus a package breakfast for my journey. Very worth with the price and definitely recommend.

Mixed stay – great location, but service falls short The Minorai-Kalon Hotel has a superb location in Bukhara, which is its biggest strength. Unfortunately, the service and guest support did not meet international standards. The reception desk could be much more proactive, and our booked hotel turned out to be different from what was actually offered. Be aware: the front desk did not bother to compensate for compromises that were clearly caused by the hotel staff. If you’re looking for a great location and don’t mind hotel compromises, this hotel may work for you.

This is a hotel with both youth hostels and homestays. There are hotel signs hanging in the B&B with several rooms here. Facilities: rudimentary Hygiene: Just like hotels in small cities in the mainland Environment: Outside the old city, across the street from the old city. Walk to the center of the old city for about 10 minutes (Buhara is actually not big), and you can reach most of the attractions in the old city withinRMB10 by taxi software. Service: There is breakfast, it is a set meal. Generally, fried eggs and wontons, there is also pilaf. But a local pot of tea is a must.

Everything was satisfactory, but one incident really upset me, and the lies made it even worse. The location was good, and the facilities were nice. But then, one day, an employee suddenly opened our door with a master key, and I saw a woman behind them. As soon as the door slightly opened, my husband quickly closed it. An hour passed, and no one said anything, so I complained to Trip.com. The employee apologized and I thought it was just a misunderstanding that ended. But then I received a note afterwards that said it wasn't an employee, but another guest who tried to open the door, and that they didn't actually open it or enter, and that they had spoken to that guest. I initially wondered if a guest had confused their room and asked an employee to open it for them. But then I realized that the employee's mistake was completely omitted, and the person who tried to open the door was written as a guest from another room. I was even more upset thinking about how someone could present an incident report like that.

The host treated me like family. Although he can’t speak English, we use google translate to communicate. The breakfast is very delicious. He even made me honey lemon tea when I had flu. The location is very good within the old city but not too close from the main noisy area. Perfect place to get a good rest. Recommended! Will stay here again if I visit Bukhara in the future.

This hotel is within walking distance of Bukhara's main attractions, and that's where its advantages end. The rooms are dirty; my friends and I booked three rooms, and one wasn't prepared for our arrival. The staff are friendly and try their best, but the hotel needs renovation. I wouldn't recommend this hotel; if your budget allows, book a more expensive one.
