I can't recommend Pearle Beach Resort enough. The service here is by far the best I have ever experienced in a hotel and I have been lucky enough to visit lots of them. Every member of the team is friendly and welcoming and you are made to feel like part of the family. Sandy in particular made our stay special, always coming over to chat and giving us great advice on where to visit on the island. The restaurant team were all brilliant, Julietta,Julian,Ariella and everyone else (sorry I don't know all the names). Vikash and the other chefs always came out at meal times to check everything was perfect and chat to the guests. The food selection was good, there were different themed nights and always Mauritian food to try each day. There was always plenty for my boyfriend to eat who is vegetarian. We hired a car through the hotel, Luqmaan on reception was great at helping with this. I would definitely recommend this as a way of seeing the rest of the island. We love snorkelling and found that the beach the hotel is on, was for us the best on the island. You can swim very easily in the lagoon straight off the beach and see all sorts of different marine life, without needing to book a boat trip. We stayed in room 309 and it was perfect. This is one of the recently renovated rooms with a sea view. Sitting on the balcony at the end of each day and watching the sunset was my favourite thing to do. On arrival we were treated to a fruit platter and a bottle of fizz delivered to our room and a couple of welcome gifts. One night we were even invited for drinks with the management team in a 'secret' location. The housekeeping team were also brilliant. I loved that they visited the rooms on the evening to check if you needed anything even after they had already been earlier in the day. Damien from the entertainment team was great, I joined one of his aqua gym classes which was a laugh. He was quick to learn which guests were keen to join in activities and which ones preferred to observe and he didn't harass you. Patrick and the team in the bar were very friendly too. I would recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of coming to Mauritius. (Sorry I don't have any photos of the room but it was lovely) Thank you for making our holiday so memorable, Maxine and David x

The hotel has a few flaws, but if you do not pay attention to them, the rest will be fine. The location is super, everything is nearby. Sea across the road, bus stop 50 meters away. Very good for this price. If you want five stars this is not the place.

This is a small hotel compared to other hotels on the island. The rooms are old and can do with a upgrade, but it is still very nice . Lots of mosquitoes in December, but that is all over the island. The beach is super-large white sandy beach.More than enough loungers on the beach. The garden in front of the rooms are well maintained. Food was of a good standard.Entertainment in the evening. however we did not take part. Our room was nearby but there was no disturbance at all. Jumbo supermarket about 500 m from hotel, and lots of restaurants nearby. Also a lot of small shops nearby so you don t need to go to far for souvenirs .Most beautiful sunsets. Our 11th time in Mauritius-1st time in this hotel, but we will definitely be back December maybe on a bed and breakfast base to enjoy all the restaurants nearby. If you want to enjoy a peaceful holiday without to many people around you, even in December I will recommend this hotel. 1 Hour from the airport. The swimming pool is small but very nice to just drift in the water especially at sunset.. Some of the staff are very friendly.

Breakfast is quite rich, basically there are some, the beach is not too fine, but the scenery is good, after all, the West Coast, can not compare with the East Coast, but can watch the sunset, the view of the infinity pool is good, the hotel environment is also not bad. There are 2 kilometers around the town, go there to eat a car fare 400 rupees, per capita 500-600 can eat well, it is also cheaper than the hotel. Next is the Tucao, the hotel facilities are old, it is too old, the air conditioning sounds loud, the most unacceptable is the soundproofing, our room has a sealed door, it is estimated that other room types are transformed, the night is quiet and next door says nothing I heard that the most important thing is not clear where the sound came from, because the next day we lived next to us, and the result was a snoring sound like a big man lying next to you, then suspected to be an air conditioning duct, open The air-conditioned air conditioner was covered. To be honest, the Hilton room was really disappointing. There was no advantage in comparison with other hotels in the back. Of course, the hotel behind it was more expensive, but I personally did not recommend it. Check in!

The hotel staff were amazing and very welcoming. The food was exceptional and the hotel management really made an effort to help bring in the new year in style. Our room was clean and the housekeeping staff were always available to help with no matter what. I would definitely recommend this hotel. As a constructive criticism, maybe the hotel could make the carts more available for the eldely as walking from the room to the main hotel is very long - it's a massive hotel. Maybe some cart taxi's at certain times for people who are older and want to get around the hotel. But other than this our time at this hotel was just incredible. Thank you La Pirogue!

I arrived late at night and all the staff are friendly and welcoming. It is good for a honeymoon, but it is also good for a family trip. I visited with my wife on a family trip. It doesn't seem like the atmosphere you think of when you come for a honeymoon, but it is recommended if you don't care too much about room condition. I haven't tried other hotels or resorts, but the food at Sugar Beach is generally good. It's on the west side where you can see the sunset, so it takes about an hour from the airport. Casella, Chamarel, and Le Mont can all be reached within 30 minutes.
