There's always a concern about staying at nature-themed hotels this season: the environment might not be very appealing. However, this hotel was a pleasant surprise. The design team had clearly considered autumn scenery from the very beginning, carefully selecting trees and even including reeds, creating a unique and enchanting atmosphere under the autumn sun (actually, it's winter). Staying there and appreciating it fully evoked the feel of a Canadian or North American forest movie. Behind the hotel is a large autumn woodland where you can walk on fallen leaves in the morning – very relaxing and comfortable. And at night, the sky is filled with far more stars than just one or two, along with a full moon. The hotel staff were very welcoming, and there were even some cats, creating a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Of course, there were some drawbacks. Not all rooms were well-maintained; some areas looked quite old, and some chairs on the balcony were dusty, which negatively impacted the experience. Hopefully, future guests will check the outdoor areas for dust before checking in. As for the issue of the condition of the rooms, I really don't know how to suggest improvements. Previous guests have mentioned the cold winter weather, but this time, they had provided heaters, which was very thoughtful. In short, the scenery and architectural design are both excellent and worth seeing, especially in autumn!

My trip to Moganshan was spurred by a rare good weather weekend and a spontaneous decision. I blindly booked this B&B on Trip.com simply because I liked its name, 'Moshangyin'. I'm just a hopelessly spontaneous person. My suitcase packed clothes for tomorrow, my camera, and a bottle of red wine. I specifically booked a room with a bathtub, hoping to get tipsy under a sky full of stars before drifting off to sleep.
However, the reality was I ended up sharing that bottle of wine over a staff meal at the B&B. I met the lovely and fun Sister Fen, known as 'Moganshan's Queen', and the incredibly approachable and wise B&B owner, Da Ling. She cooked me delicious shredded pork noodles and helped me take many great photos. I was the only guest who got to join that meal, simply because I was the only solo guest at the whole B&B – how both sad and interesting is that? In my heart, Moshangyin in Moganshan definitely deserves a five-star review.

Elevemm52I specifically chose the Brettonwood Resort for my trip to Qiandao Lake this time, and the overall stay exceeded my expectations – it was absolutely fantastic! Our butler, Mei Mei, was incredibly attentive and deserves a special shout-out!
The hotel's location is excellent; I could enjoy the stunning lake and mountain views right from my window. In the mornings, there was a beautiful mist, and in the evenings, gorgeous sunsets. The scenery was truly breathtaking.
The front desk staff were warm and patient, and the check-in and check-out process was smooth. Any requests were handled promptly. The resort grounds are serene and elegant, with lush greenery and even a petting zoo. The kids absolutely loved feeding the peacocks, ducks, bunnies, foxes, raccoons, and piglets. It's also very pet-friendly.
The breakfast buffet offered a rich variety, especially the noodle and vermicelli station with a wide selection of condiments. They even had homemade chili and ginger, which was a real treat for spice lovers. Parking for self-drivers is convenient, and it's particularly well-suited for family vacations. This will be my top choice for Qiandao Lake; I'll definitely be back!

Guest UserThe pictures were so promising, the actual property is just next level.
Welcomed by Jane, the host, we immediately felt at home.
We would not have changed a single object there, nor in the common area. Fully in line with our personal tastes.
We found out later that Jane’s husband, a designer, was behind the the set-up. Not a surprise at all.
In addition to a yummy breakfast, that pas planned, we ended up having a dinner and a late lunch. Both prepared by a super ayi. So tasty and genuine.
We spend a couple of hours in the adjacent bamboo forest. Crispy air, unique light, insane calm (the whole area is so quiet).
We will definitely come back. When weather will allow the use of the welcoming swimming pool.
Thanks Jane! And please thank ayi on our behalf for the yummy meals.

This was my first time visiting Moganshan, and I booked the Shangpo B&B based on Ctrip's ratings and reviews. I was really impressed by the welcome letter, which showed the owner is cultured and thoughtful, and it immediately heightened my expectations for this 'paradise on earth'...
The B&B is nestled amidst mountains and bamboo forests, with a three-story, reddish-orange Tuscan-style exterior that exudes a vintage charm. It feels incredibly exotic being surrounded by the bamboo sea and mountains. The environment here is serene and peaceful, truly a 'paradise away from the hustle and bustle' as described in the welcome letter.
The room was clean and elegant, offering mountain views right from the moment you open the door. Every detail exuded a subtle luxury. My favorite part was the artwork in the common areas – several Picasso-esque paintings by Dutch artists, paired with light luxury, simple European furniture, creating a striking visual contrast between modern and vintage that sparks a unique aesthetic romance.
Both the Chinese and Western meals here were incredibly delicious, fresh, and exquisitely prepared. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner could all be customized to guests' requests; it truly felt like everyone was a VIP.
The service at the B&B was also outstanding. Coffee and mineral water were provided free of charge and unlimited throughout the day! The housekeeper was warm, attentive, and incredibly responsive to every request. This is, without a doubt, the best-serviced B&B I've ever stayed at. I will definitely be back!

Guest UserService: The owners were really chatty and made our two-day stay very comfortable. They even lent us fishing rods, haha (though we didn't catch anything!).
Environment: Excellent! Superb. I'd love to come back for another vacation. The surrounding area is also great, very close to the creek.
Cleanliness: Very clean and refreshing.
Facilities: The design of both the room and the lobby is fantastic. The sofa is incredibly comfortable; it was super relaxing to curl up on it and play games.
Also, a shout-out to the hot pot! It was delicious 😋

We chose the homestay for it's secluded location and loved every bit of it! The rooms were fantastic. The staff were very warm and welcoming, and made sure everything was perfect. The bbq experience with the outdoor karaoke setup was great! Sang our hearts out! The view of the bamboo forest from the room coupled with an outdoor balcony made the evenings that much more special to enjoy with our group. The breakfast meals were an absolute delight and the staff made sure to cater exactly as we requested. Transport (via alipay car hail) was a bit of an issue because of the scarcity of taxis in the area, but the auntie at the hotel was kind enough to arrange a taxi through one of her friends. The hotel outdoor area is very spacious and had multiple activities to follow including water gun fights and trampolines. We really did let the kid inside of us run wild this weekend. The fishing experience was fun and educating although we couldn't catch any ourselves. All in all, such a great weekend and will definitely recommend to anyone including foreigners. 5/5 Totally satisfied.

Ori_JoyThe Accomodation is in the Lingyin Feilai Peak scenic area. Hence, cars are restricted from entering the area until after 5 pm. It is a 3 storey house, with a tea plantation beside it. A pity it was raining the time of our stay so we couldn’t enjoy the plantation outdoors.
Anyway, we had a lovely and comfortable stay as it felt like home. We had the 3rd level - 2 rooms, all to ourselves. Futon beds with tea set and homemade cookies, that we could enjoy in our rooms. One of the room has a huge bathroom with a tub, while the other, the toilet and shower area are interconnected, making it rather tight. Room is spacious for 2 persons. The owner is a nice gentle lady. Will recommend to anyone who wants to stay in close proximity to the scenic area.

Moganshan boasts many uniquely designed guesthouses, and this one stands out as a prime example. Nestled halfway up the mountain, the entire property, including its courtyard and buildings, blends seamlessly into a grand artistic display, harmonizing with the serene natural surroundings. The long staircase leading to the rooms adds a touch of ceremony, with the assumption that the higher you climb, the better the room, requiring a bit more effort. Each room here has a unique, almost ethereal theme. The 'Lanji' room is likely their best, spanning 55 square meters, featuring a separate wet and dry area, underfloor heating, and a fantastic walk-in hot tub. The views are enveloped by lush greenery, with 270-degree floor-to-ceiling windows. Stepping onto the balcony, you're greeted by fresh air and vibrant greenery. The beautiful outdoor scenery and tranquil indoor ambiance perfectly complement each other. The rooftop boasts an open-air private hot spring cabin where you can soak while enjoying tea by the fire, unwinding from the day's fatigue. In the evening, candles create a magical atmosphere, perfect for photos. Their restaurant serves delicious farm-style dishes that truly tantalized my taste buds. After dinner, you can relax with tea in the cozy and comfortable lobby bar. They even offer outdoor KTV, bonfire parties, and stargazing movies. The area around the guesthouse has limited amenities; it's a 30-minute drive to Deqing, so self-driving is highly recommended. The one-on-one butler service is thoughtful, meticulous, and incredibly helpful – they even tried their hand at a live interview! Upon departure, they gifted me a souvenir and saw me off to my car, which was a very heartwarming touch.

MarymlchanThe location is good. The hotel interior desires really nice or decorate by antique furniture and the lighting is very nice. You can take a lot of photo in the ground floor and corridor.
The room is the same as what I see in the website decoration is nice and clean. We went in May and the weather is hot and the hotel air condition is this is good enough. We got upgraded to bigger room and the washroom is very big.
The receptionist and or the hotel butler ( I forgot adked her name) is very friendly and helpful. I would like to said thank you to her.
The hotel provided free breakfast. It tastes good. We lived 2 nights and they very early in the morning that we cannot catch up the breakfast time. The hotel butler prepared takeout for us so that we can have it in airport. The breakfast included congee, homemade sausage, fruit, milk. It all tasted good.
I definitely will recommend to all my friend. I will book again when I come back..
