The Stables
4.2/51 Reviews
Self check-in was convenient. The cottage is beautiful and has all the extra things you would need from a self-catering facility (dishwashing liquid, salt pepper and even board games). Surroundings are peaceful and the springboks on the property are a pleasant surprise.
Endless Vineyards at Wildekrans Wine Estate
4.4/517 Reviews
We stayed at Wildekrans for a weekend away from our own Guest House. It was wonderful. The food was superb, the staff all inviting, professional, efficient & warm. The spaces were the perfect balance of comfort and luxury but keep the feel of a countryside quaint hotel experience. We took advantage of time outside, and were grateful for the walking trails, outside boma space, extensive lawns and the horses we got to visit daily (although we don't ride). It was a great space to unwind and relax. Don't miss the amazing food at the restaurant!
Beach Villa Wilderness
4.9/567 Reviews
Beautiful location! The villa has large spaces and windows that immerse you in nature. All the rooms are furnished with great taste and with truly beautiful art objects. Our room is wonderful, ocean view, selection of liquors available, set for going to the beach and all the comforts possible and imaginable. We only stayed for one night but the memories we will carry with us will remain as one of the most beautiful places we have stayed.
Dunvegan Lodge
4.7/56 Reviews
My wife and I, on a recommendation from Birding Pals, stayed at Dunvegan Lodge for 10 days. Lisa and Wayne are the proprietors, and it didn't take long for us to feel very much at home. Lisa and Wayne are wonderful people and we now count them as friends. They went out of their way to make our stay pleasant and memorable. The accommodations are wonderful, and the nice touch of electric blankets during the winter was so nice. The Lodge grounds are very beautifully landscaped, and welcoming to many interesting birds. Lisa keeps bird feeders going, and we always made it a point to see what South African birds were visiting. Past the feeders, there are trails through the natural area. The birding is good. We saw a lot of cool species as Cape grassbird and Southern double-collared sunbird. The Fynbos plant community is so interesting. Dunvegan Lodge is very close to Fish Hoek and the restaurants and shops there. We look forward to returning and most definitely will stay there again.
Holden Manz Country House
4.7/541 Reviews
Holden Manz's country house is beautifully nestled among the vineyards of Franschhoek, surrounded by magnificent mountains. The house itself is stunning, adorned with exquisite art pieces that make it feel like an art gallery—a fitting comparison, given that ”Manz” has his own gallery in town. We received a warm and friendly welcome, complete with a welcome drink and warm chocolate milk for the children. The fires were lit, creating an immediate sense of coziness and making us feel right at home. Our family suite was spacious and meticulously maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary wine tasting at the estate and found the breakfast to be delicious. The common area, where our family could play games together, was a delightful touch. I highly recommend a stay at Holden Manz. It is beautiful in every aspect.
