Booked late at a good price for 2 rooms on a stopover ***** with friends. The location is great, very near the beachfront and just across the road from the ***** of bars and restaurants. The check in was friendly and easy, we managed to get a parking space just outside with no need to pay. There were plenty of sun beds around the pool for this time of year but I can imagine that there would not be enough in July and August. The pool was very clean and inviting with a lifeguard on duty at all times. Next to the pool was the bar/ cafeteria which had an excellent ‘happy hour’ from 5-7pm. The rooms were very spacious with a large double bed and good bathroom. Our friends had an issue with their aircon not working but ours was adequate although not brilliant. We did not eat at the hotel given the proximity to the neighbouring bars and restaurants. The pillows on the beds did let down everything else, they were lumpy, thin and not supportive, I had to double mine over to get it anything like comfortable. We would certainly return again.

We left this hotel today having spent a very enjoyable five days here. Great location, right by the Ayuntamiento and less than five minutes to the beach. Supermarket and bars in close location. On arrival we knew we were early so were going to ask if we could leave our bags. However we were offered an upgrade to a bigger room that was immediately available which we were happy to take. The room was very spacious and spotlessly clean. All staff were friendly and helpful. We only took the bed and breakfast option and I could not fault the food offering. Plenty of choice, available from 7.30am until 10.30 so you didn’t get the surge of people wanting to eat at the same time. Tables were cleared regularly and food and juices topped up. I would definitely stay here again.

No way is this a 4 star hotel , for anyone who says it is then they’ve never stayed in a 4 star before. Yes the room was clean, the location is excellent and the staff were pleasant however…. Bed was uncomfortable with the flattest 2 pillows I’ve ever seen , might as well have not had one, my pillow case had rips in it too. Room had a kettle with a lid that didn’t close and we had 2 breakfast tea bags, 2 menthol tea bags, 2 sugars and 2 small milk/ cream pods, no coffee sachets. I have never known a hotel that provides a kettle that supplies tea bags and no coffee especially in Spain where coffee is a firm favourite at morning times. I’m sure they don’t provide it in the hotel as they want you to use their restaurant. There was a small fridge stocked with a few fizzy drinks and water , we used one bottle of water and at €3 for a small bottle we didn’t buy anymore. We just thought the hotel was basic, for what we paid it really wasn’t worth it, I do find though that the “ star rating” for anything in Spain regarding facilities etc is wrong, what they say is 4 star is really 3. A Premier Inn back in the UK is much nicer than this hotel AND it’s cheaper, great value for money. We definitely won’t be stopping at the 525 hotel again.
