Booked late at a good price for 2 rooms on a stopover ***** with friends. The location is great, very near the beachfront and just across the road from the ***** of bars and restaurants. The check in was friendly and easy, we managed to get a parking space just outside with no need to pay. There were plenty of sun beds around the pool for this time of year but I can imagine that there would not be enough in July and August. The pool was very clean and inviting with a lifeguard on duty at all times. Next to the pool was the bar/ cafeteria which had an excellent ‘happy hour’ from 5-7pm. The rooms were very spacious with a large double bed and good bathroom. Our friends had an issue with their aircon not working but ours was adequate although not brilliant. We did not eat at the hotel given the proximity to the neighbouring bars and restaurants. The pillows on the beds did let down everything else, they were lumpy, thin and not supportive, I had to double mine over to get it anything like comfortable. We would certainly return again.

This hotel is located at a residential district, near the exit motorway, it is about five minutes drive from Los Alcázares city centre and beach, twenty minutes drive from Cartagena, it's a perfect point to stay if you want to visit Calblanque Beaches. If you drive, there are plenty of parking lots outside the hotel, you don't need to park in the hotel. Room is big, and there is a balcony for you to enjoy the sunshine.

Stayed here in August. Not been to this area before and was very pleased with it all. The hotel was lovely and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The only problem with the hotel is there is no pool. Although I found this out before I went. The biggest problem is there is no outside area to sit out. But the actual hotel is lovely. The hotel is in the quiet area and that was good for us. But if you wanted to stay where they cater more for the English I would have stayed at the 525 hotel which was about 20 mins walk from our hotel.

If you are looking for an old, historic hotel, look no further! This hotel was opened in 1904 and gives you the impression nothing much has been improved since! However the location is stunning right on the beach. However one serious warning, free parking in the town is extremely hard to find. Make sure you include parking in your reservation. Also the roads in the town are narrow and it's a complex one way system. Make sure your GPS is up to date and be prepared for diversions as delivery drivers appear to routinely park in the middle of narrow streets and don't seem to have urgency to move? All in all we enjoyed our short stay and the hotel has more pluses than minuses!

No way is this a 4 star hotel , for anyone who says it is then they’ve never stayed in a 4 star before. Yes the room was clean, the location is excellent and the staff were pleasant however…. Bed was uncomfortable with the flattest 2 pillows I’ve ever seen , might as well have not had one, my pillow case had rips in it too. Room had a kettle with a lid that didn’t close and we had 2 breakfast tea bags, 2 menthol tea bags, 2 sugars and 2 small milk/ cream pods, no coffee sachets. I have never known a hotel that provides a kettle that supplies tea bags and no coffee especially in Spain where coffee is a firm favourite at morning times. I’m sure they don’t provide it in the hotel as they want you to use their restaurant. There was a small fridge stocked with a few fizzy drinks and water , we used one bottle of water and at €3 for a small bottle we didn’t buy anymore. We just thought the hotel was basic, for what we paid it really wasn’t worth it, I do find though that the “ star rating” for anything in Spain regarding facilities etc is wrong, what they say is 4 star is really 3. A Premier Inn back in the UK is much nicer than this hotel AND it’s cheaper, great value for money. We definitely won’t be stopping at the 525 hotel again.
