A surprise find on TripAdvisor with lots of good reviews so I booked this hotel during my visit. As what other comments mentioned it is a great boutique hotel located in the center of Nouakchott. The room is big, clean, a bit of luxurious European deco and the bed is comfortable. The rate is also decent as well. If I come to Nouakchott again in the future, I will stay here again.

This relatively new hotel offers a very clean and pleasant environment accompanied by fresh and tasty food. Although I have yet to find a place where spicy plates are served, this place offers the best I have seen to date. I encourage the hotel to include some varieties from around the world. These days it should not be difficult with YouTube chefs :).

The hotel is some distance from the main road, and the road leading to the hotel is quite challenging and bumpy. It's hard to imagine how difficult it could become during the rainy season. The hotel mainly caters to guests from China and provides three daily meals featuring local Chinese cuisine and delicacies. The menu is mostly vegetarian, with eggs and fish/beef/mutton served occasionally. The hotel is family-run with additional staff, and they are friendly, offering helpful information when asked. The only drawback is the poor internet connection.

Great spot to stay, friendly host, safe & secure, plus recommendations on travel & attractions. The host helped me plan a trip throughout Mauritania, and it went very well. I did the iron-ore train, camped in Choum, hung out in Terjit, saw the White Valley, and visited the ancient town of Chinguetti 👍

I was delighted with my stay at Le Triskell. I arrived (solo) late at night and they picked me up and prepared a delicious salad despite the late hour. My room (a private room inside the house) was comfortable and big. I had a fan and a functioning bathroom with hot water. The garden yard at Le Triskell is a delight. So beautiful and a wonderful place to hang out with Sebastian or other travellers. Great food was served here as well. The location was good. A nice, quiet neighbourhood, bus also walkable to the city centre (it's not a short walk, but not that long either). Lots of restaurants in close proximity. Sebastian also helped t arranged onward transpiration and was a great source of information. Very helpful, for me anyway, is that he speaks English as well as a French. I would 100% recommend this place. It was a great way to start my trip in Mauritania.
