Apartments in Quebec, Canada

This so called hotel is nothing more than an apartment building masquerading as a hotel. My husband booked for two nights. Upon arrival we discovered two large towels and two small towels. This was supposed to serve us for a two night stay? We had to ask for additional towels and then discovered that there would be no room cleaning during our stay?! The charge for this room, which was actually a small apartment, was $400 per night! The bedroom was tiny and very warm as the only air conditioning unit on the wall was in the living room area. The kitchen was very sparsely equipped and we did not use it at all. There was a note insisting that we load the dishwasher before leaving. House keeping could not even do this? There was a coffee bar/cocktail bar in the lobby that was only open during the afternoon and evening? No coffee in the morning? When we arrived to check in we had to wait a full fifteen minutes as there was a couple ahead of us who were having trouble paying. On registering, they took an additional $250 as a damage deposit. This was not on a hold it was put through as a charge. This still has not been returned to us after four days, and probably will take more than a week to be returned. This ”hotel” is just not worth it unless you want an apartment to stay in, which we did not.

It is a very good hotel, very close to the train station, the old city attractions can be visited on foot, the next day at 5:30 train, so I chose a room with no breakfast with kitchen, its kitchen utensils are complete, with various electrical appliances, very clean, comfortable to live, the price is reasonable, if you stay at night, You have to contact before check-in, otherwise you don't have a password and a specific room number to enter the shop. This is a hotel with no front desk service and a locked door. The first time you stay in such a hotel, you have no experience. You can try it!

The hotel looks like an old building renovated and revitalized building. In the center of the new city, the door is facing the main road of the city. There are many restaurants to choose from on the parallel street. It only takes about 20 minutes to walk to the old city. The hotel has a humble doorway and needs to open it with a password. This semi-self-service apartment hotel is equipped with all the basic supplies (except toothbrushes, toothpaste and slippers) for a large and small life. There is a separate room and a separate space for the bunk bed to live in a family of four. The living room and dining room are very large, the interior design is simple and generous, the furniture selected is also exquisite and tasteful, the floor is very high, and there is a sense of space. Washing machines and dryers are available, and even a laundry ball is put in the washing machine to spare, and the kitchen utensils are also very rich and complete. The mattress was very comfortable and my daughter and I enjoyed every moment after returning to the hotel. I definitely recommend it to every friend who is coming to Quebec.

Nous adorons venir à Les Lofts St-Francois, le penthouse avec la vue et le spa est vraiment magnifique. I booked this hotel months in advance after checking reviews here and got a fantastic deal. I was billed immediately and paid in full. A few weeks before our trip I came back to TripAdvisor to look at more current reviews. There were several alarmingly bad reviews and I started to panic. I thought I may have been tricked into booking a bad choice. After staying here for four nights I feel like the bad reviews are not reflective of our experience at all. Here is what our experience was. Code to access the building and room number was provided a few days in advance by email as promised. We had a two bedroom with a balcony. Was able to go straight in the lobby to the elevator without a stop at the front desk. We found our room clean, smelled good and stocked with enough kitchen items to make basic food items. Large fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave and coffee maker. Plenty of mugs, cups, plates, silverware and stemless wine glasses. I loved the modern spartan white walls and crisp lines of furniture. The absence of pictures on the walls was actually appreciated. Sound machines in both bedrooms that had selections of thunderstorms etc. a nice touch. Also earplugs provided in the bedrooms. Both the beds were comfortable and bedrooms had lots of closet space. Zero noise from any units above, below or next to us. From what I could tell from the balcony they seemed unoccupied. Plenty of extra tp and Kleenex in the bathroom. LOVED having a washer and dryer. You have to ask for more laundry soap at the front desk, it is not stocked with the other supplies available in the lobby. Safe neighborhood and walkable to many attractions. Things that were not so great: No tv in either bedroom. I actually enjoyed this feature but know that would be significant for other guests. The A/C only blows in the living room so when the bedroom doors are shut it can get hot and stuffy in the bedrooms. Small details were ignored that could be easily fixed and look much more polished, like missing buttons on the couch, wall mounted tv that was crooked by inches and many scuffs on doors and walls. My largest complaint was the clear half wall/no shower door. I know this is a modern trendy feature but it is clearly form over function. Even with the most careful effort it was impossible to not get the bathroom floor very wet. This hotel is a solid choice and I definitely would recommend.

The room is so good and just like the photo on the website. we can see the old port view from the window. This location can walk to any famous spot. Thank you for providing this amazing room!

Easy to travel. The surrounding attractions are within walking distance. The room is large for cooking. Check-in is a little troublesome. No front desk. You need to email to inform the credit card message to deduct the deposit. The landlord will tell the password to enter the house. In addition, parking around is not convenient. I am not familiar with the environment. I don't know where to park. I have to find it around. It’s a little far from the place to eat.

We chose this hotel to spend a romantic weekend, but our experience was terrible, both during our stay until the company's answer when we contacted them. 1) First, the apartment is far from being soundless. We could hear the cry of the demonstration on the day on Sainte-Catherine, the claxons and the speed noises on the evening of the cars around, The low music from apartments around the day and evening, as well as the more lively laughter and discussions of users from nearby apartments. We were wake up every morning by crying from the outside or from the noise of Bass from the apartments around 8h30-9h00 in the morning. When mentioned to the company, they simply told us that we should have contacted them about this, In addition, they simply indicated that it is mentioned in the booking emails that users should not create noise damage last 23:00 or have guests during the pandemic, The hotel is located in a block of apartments. We had an outstanding stay at Sonder Apollon in Montreal. The location was perfect, situated in a vibrant neighborhood with easy access to public transportation, shops, and restaurants. The modern design of the apartment was both stylish and functional, providing a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing environment. The space was impeccably clean and well-maintained, with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was fully equipped, even though we didn't have time to cook. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches such as high-quality linens and toiletries. Check-in and check-out were seamless with Sonder’s efficient system, and the customer service was excellent. Whenever we had questions or needed assistance, the team was quick to respond and very helpful. Overall, our experience at Sonder Apollon was fantastic. It felt like a home away from home, and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Montreal. We look forward to staying here again on our next trip to the city!

Pros : Plenty of space and storage space. Perfectly clean. Decorated with simplicity and taste. Well though design. Parking included which is not easy to find in the area. Cons : NOT soundproof at all, and over a busy street, so drunk people yelling in the evening and trafic early in the morning, easy to hear despite closing the windows. Also, there was probably a bug in the system because I received a shocking number of emails about the booking, procedures, rules and access. Not easy to find at first when you take the stairs. Still worth it.
