Arriving at the train station, I found out the shuttle bus for the hotel wouldn't arrive for another 45 minutes, so we opted to walk there. It takes about half an hour but going uphill in the blazing sun was a bit torturous. The driveway is also very steep, so beware if you have a lot of baggage. Hotel has a wealth of history. It hosted a lot of famous guests in the early 20th century. Modern hotels are sterile in comparison. It's an old building, so is draughty and full of ancient furniture. This may be a turnoff for some but I found it completely charming.

The environment is still good, the location is relatively quiet, the big bath and hot spring are on the first floor, the view is also very good when eating breakfast, and fortunately I saw the rainbow 🌈

Wonderful! The staff was the highlight of this hotel. Attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and simply superb! Great location right across the lake and near the falls and shrines. Glas we opted to have breakfast and dinner here too. The chef is spectacular and the food was delicious. The sauna inside was clean and at a perfect temperature after a day's hike. I will be staying here again.

A family trip, parents and children. Kinugawa is a declining hot spring town. It became popular after Tobu opened the train. I chose this place at night when I was traveling to Nikko. The hotel is a little far from Tobu Kinugawa Station, and it takes more than 20 minutes to walk. It is recommended to take the bus next to the station if you are traveling with children, the elderly or large suitcases. The hotel dinner is buffet style, and drinks are charged separately. The men's and women's baths are switched in the morning and evening. The open-air baths also do not offer views of the outside. The room size is OK, enough for children. A standard hot spring hotel.

Amazing experience out in the woods. Perfect for families and couples as you can go into onsen together. Women typically wear a towel in the mixed onsen, while men use a small towel for modesty while walking between baths. Lunch is available in the main hall. Stunning breakfast and dinner in dining room. Waterfall right next to the outdoor baths, great view.

I have lived once a long time ago and I feel very comfortable. I still like this stay, but the dinner feels better before. Now it is quite satisfactory, but the overall recommendation is still to stay. I will choose to stay here in the future because it is too comfortable.

I stayed with my parents and children. It may be a new hotel seven years after the hotel was built, but the lobby, rooms, baths and restaurants were well cleaned and beautiful. Amenity was also substantial, and cleansing, face wash, face lotion and face milk bottles were also in the room. It was comfortable to use with DHC hotel amenities. There were plenty of drinks, green tea, roasted tea, tea, apple tea, coffee, and the fashionable Delongi electric kettle was good. Both dinner and breakfast had Japanese food, but it was very delicious and the restaurant staff were very friendly and satisfied. For dinner, there are a small amount of dishes for 1 1, but there are many kinds, so women will be full by the time dessert comes. It may be a little short for men who eat a lot, so I think it's a good idea to eat cooked rice that can be refilled or eat noodles at the night restaurant. There are vegetables and fish, and it seems to be good for the body, but I think that there is a good part of the hotel with the Viking for children who like and dislike a lot. The souvenirs at the shop include Nasu sweets, fruit park forest-style jam, sake, key chains, and children's toys, but it feels like a minimum assortment. I was a little unsatisfactory for me who likes to see souvenirs, but there is a color 々 shop during sightseeing, so the hotel has the intention of spending a relaxing time in hot springs and rooms. I think there is . The hot spring was convenient because the room had bath towels and face towels brought from the room, plastic bags and socks that could be put in wet towels, and a basket that was okay even if it was wet. It was pleasant and fun to be able to soak in the inner bath, the open-air bath, and the hot springs of 々. It was a pity that the weather was bad and I couldn't see the starry sky at night, but it depends on luck. Free ice candy and fruit vinegar drinks were provided after the bath. If I went well, I had a disappointing experience, not as much as I expected, but this hotel was a calm atmosphere hotel and it was really the best hotel for adults. I would like to go again.

The location is really good. 10 mins away from the station. Easy to find. Big hotel, about 11 floors. The room is quite spacious, part in western style with beds and part in japaneese with tatamis. There is sink in themiddle of the room, quite comfy. Good view to the mountain and forest from the window, 9th floor. Nice yukata to wear, i liked the outerpart. Breakfast and dinner is buffet, quite big choice, free beer for dinner, not so many fruits, no cakes for breakfast (dinner only). There is sushi and sashimi choice, delicious food. Onsen is quite good, clean, big. Will recommend to stay here

GGuest UserThe room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the view was great. The free cocktail and coffee services in the lobby were nice, as well as the free drink bar (including one beer per person) near the entrance to the hot spring. The paid massage service was also good. The meals were decent, especially the grilled beef, which simply melted in my mouth. The restaurant staff welcomed us warmly and provided friendly service. Cons: The variety of hot springs was lacking, and the view from the hot springs was almost blocked, which was disappointing. The lockers for valuables used combination dials, and foreign guests often didn’t know how to use them, locking their room keys inside and struggling to reopen them. This was a major inconvenience. They should switch to a key-and-wristband system like other onsen hotels. The room itself felt like an old, once-grand mansion that had seen better days. The furniture had many scratches, and the surfaces were worn and peeling. It made me think it must have been impressive in the past. Still, the room was definitely more spacious compared to other hotels.

GGuest UserI found it close to Sano Premium Outlet, but it feels like a small resort rather than a hotel, and the breakfast buffet style was good. I booked to go to the hot springs, but I couldn't use it, but there are several small private hot springs in various styles, so it would be good for those looking for a cost-effective hotel.

LLindaxiaolingziDuring the recent three-day autumn foliage season, rooms in Nikko were extremely difficult to book, especially balcony rooms with views of Nantaiyama and Chuzenji Lake. This time, I checked in at noon and requested an upgrade to a lake view room, and luckily, one became available on the 5th floor, the top floor. The balcony of the room offered a breathtaking lake view! Although the price was high, it was truly amazing! Environment: Prime location near Chuzenji Lake, with its own dedicated station. The pier, lakeside, and Kegon Falls are all within walking distance. Service: Top-notch. From check-in to introductions, turndown service, and breakfast the next day, the staff were impeccably at home! They now offer twice-daily shuttle service from Nikko Station. Truly fantastic! Facilities: Complete with all amenities, including a private onsen (hot spring), and state-of-the-art bathing and skincare facilities. Cleanliness: Spotless, and the public areas are impeccably beautiful. Staying here is like living inside an oil painting, except for the price. But this is just one example! The purpose of making money is to achieve Ritz-Carlton freedom.

KKongkongwukongkongAn old hot spring hotel! Breakfast and dinner are really cost-effective! The food is delicious, from fish to small pots! Appetizer strawberry wine, hot tea and dessert after dinner! The hot spring is also quite good. We are the family of four adults with children. It is a very satisfying stay experience! I have lived in a lot of expensive places before, but it feels similar. Cost-effective leverage, praise!

Ttolyazek@mail.ruEverything was great! We lived here for three days in April 2024. The hosts are very friendly and attentive. Breakfast and dinner were very tasty and large, so during the day we didn’t even want to have lunch while walking. Everything in the room is clean and tidy. The place is quiet and beautiful. Nearby there is a large supermarket with everything you need. The bus stop to the waterfalls and lake is also very close. There is also a public onsen nearby, we had a good time there too. In general, we really liked everything! Thank you!
