Ein Traum in Dalara Land. Wie in einem Freilichtmuseum sind die Unterkünfte auf dem Areal verteilt. Über dem nahen Siljan See gelegen. Der Empfang und die Bewirtung war excelent. Die Zimmer sind einfach, alt aber charmant eingerichtet. Sehr ruhig. Das Restaurant bietet für das 3 Stern Hotel, das zu den Europa Historik Hotels gehört eine gute Küche. Essen und Wein haben moderate Preise. Besonders auffallend war das junge Team am Abend. Die Damen aus Senegal, Sambia und Usbekistan haben einen Spitzenjob erledigt. Auch Robert und Erwing haben hohen Service geliefert.

As I was part of a bus tour I cannot speak to the check-in process or the value of the hotel, but it was a very nice place to stay. The hotel is centrally located, the standard room was very nice, with a nice modern bathroom. The breakfast buffet was held in a large high ceilinged room - a very quaint experience. The food was really nice and quite a nice way to start your day.

A very nice hotel, centrally located, large parking behind the hotel. A friendly reception, I felt welcome. Beautiful room, tastefully decorated among other things with the beautiful horses. I have slept wonderfully , it was very quiet . Breakfast was also excellent , there was even salmon , that was a surprise . Relatively high price level , it is just Sweden . My recommendation !

Loved it. Receptionist went out of her way to accommodate me and made me feel very welcomed. Older building but nicely redecorated rooms and baths. I only missed sheer curtains to let light in but keeping privacy, and a dead bolt on the door. Someone with a key would always be able to enter and it would be too easy to break in as well. There is a simple lock function but it wouldn't keep anyone out. This combined with no need for room key in the elevator/accessing the stairs could be a disaster for a solo traveller. They really should fix that. Breakfast and breakfast service was awesome, great start of the day. Have already booked again with this hotel.

Hotel Galaxen is not alone in struggling with a mediocre construction from the 80s. The renovations have been carried out point by point, from economic and environmental considerations it is certainly wise. As a guest, you then have to live with a bit of edge-supported furniture, a stain here and there. However, the female staff at the reception happily deliver good service. The breakfast selection is large, but no special unique local touch in terms of bread and cold cuts. Holds a discounted rate from my membership, however what it seems to mean is that they put you in the smallest rooms available.
