Stayed at Swiss-Belhotel Woolloongabba for four nights during a business trip to Brisbane. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable, with a nice city view. It was a great place to come back to and relax after a busy day. The location was very convenient for getting around Brisbane, and the hotel had all the amenities I needed during my stay. The staff were professional, friendly and helpful, and the overall service was excellent. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient. Overall, a very comfortable and hassle-free stay. I would definitely stay here again on my next business trip to Brisbane.

Location: on the southern end of Surfer's Paradise, the quieter end, just behind the Q1. General notes: it is NOT a hotel. It's a serviced apartment. Put it into context & you'll be fine. The location is convenient. There's free resident parking. The staff are polite & professional. Club Wyndham is a time share operation, which they will try to gently push for. Thank you Felipe! There is a cafeteria onsite which serves breakfasts & meals on a schedule. The parking is free which is a remarkable bonus. There's free WiFi. 3 lifts service all floors and are generally efficient given the 17-18 floors. As of 2026 May, there are major renovation works being carried out, which shows they care, but do expect construction noise during your stay until it's complete. They should be more upfront about it to avoid upsetting the easily outraged customer, I felt. SO BEWARE!! Do check with them before you book Rooms: as a rented apartment block, more akin to Airbnb with a reception, do expect that each unit will vary in furniture & fittings, so be wary of the bad reviews as in general not all units are the same. From an objective perspective, the unit was well appointed & functional to a moderately good level. Just don't expect 4 star hotel level finishings. But it's good enough on the whole. There's air conditioning that works well, a large screen TV, kitchenette with cutlery & tableware, and a dishwasher, fridge & microwave. There's a washing machine & dryer as well, for the clothing. The sofas are comfortable & clean. There's a balcony which, if ocean facing, are ideal for the sunsets and smokes. Read: great views! The TV provides the usual terrestrial channels as well as a Club Wyndham cable like channel tv with a reasonably wide selection of video movies. There is a nice complimentary selection of tea bags, coffee & chocolate powder provided. Rooms: the single beds are rather narrow & small, but adequate. Not the best I've experienced, but good enough. The mattresses are very comfortable, soft & plush, not hard. The pillows are also very comfortable. The only thing missing in the room was the inadequate provision for clothes hangers & racks. Baffling to not provide clothes hangers in the wardrobe cupboard. Inexplicable. There's a small TV screen provided in the bedrooms too & an individual air-conditioning control console for the bedroom itself. Bathrooms: generally clean and adequate. All the usual soaps & moisturizers provided. No toiletries are included though. So do bring along your own toothbrushes & shavers. There are plugs for the electric shavers. The complete set of fluffy towels are provided. The shower is not a rain shower but just a shower head. Hot water takes a short while to heat up & The showering Is generally a good experience. Based on my limited experience, it's a good place for a short stay, with the free parking tipping the balance in its favor for most, though for long stays I'm not sure how efficient they will be in providing for extra towels, toilet paper, cleaning services, etc. Though on the surface, they do appear to be up to the task. Again, I would ask about this if you're staying for more than 3 days. Do also check about the renovation noise during the day! Addendum: There's a great Indian restaurant (Delhi Darbar) & a very popular Italian restaurant just downstairs. Also a good Japanese restaurant (Osaka) just opposite.

The hotel's location is excellent, making it convenient for travel. Especially coming from the airport, the 777 bus goes directly, and it's only about a 10-minute walk after getting off. The rooms are spacious and have balconies, and the service is good.

The environment was just so-so, and the price was way too high. The rooms are tiny, even the suites aren't very spacious. The sea view is nothing special. The pool was really dirty, full of sand on the bottom. Housekeeping definitely wasn't up to par, I do not recommend this place! The guy at the front desk was unhelpful and couldn't answer any of my questions. Plus, the balcony in the room is small, and they even charge extra for coffee at breakfast!

The location is great, just a 1-minute walk from the light rail station. I had to change rooms once because, even though the first room had lovely warm sunlight, it was too close to the road and very noisy. After communicating with the front desk through my program, I was moved to the other side. The front desk attendant was a very polite, handsome young Chinese-Indonesian man. The room was quite large and relatively clean, with daily housekeeping. There were also two complimentary bottles of water. However, the 'sea view room' wasn't really a sea view room; 80% of it didn't offer a sea view, and I could only glimpse 20% of the sea through a small gap. It's better than nothing, I suppose. But it was the cheapest hotel I stayed at during my 10 days in Queensland, and it included breakfast, so it was still a good value for money.

The room was quite spacious, but the facilities were a bit underwhelming. For example, the balcony door lock was broken on the first day, and though it was fixed, I later discovered the hot water in the sink wasn't working. These issues should really be checked before guests check in. Luckily, everything was eventually repaired. My stay wasn't the best, but the Nepalese lady at the front desk who helped resolve the problems was excellent – thumbs up to her! Breakfast was a partnership with Harvest Buffet inside The Star, costing $30 for one adult and one child, which I thought was a reasonable price.

Great property and superb location. High floor rooms have a scenic view of the beach. Only 1 thing is that the shower water flow is really slow but probably due to higher floor issue. Otherwise, it’s a lovely property to be in.

Service: The front desk staff were very welcoming and tried their best to accommodate my needs. Environment: Located in Brisbane city center, King George Square is just across the street, and the pedestrian street is a bit further. It's about a 400-meter walk to Brisbane Central Station, and two blocks to the Queen Street Bus Station (it's underground, so you need to take stairs). Cleanliness: It was relatively clean, but the carpet was a bit dusty. Facilities: The elevators are a bit old but mostly functional. All the room's appliances work, and the central air conditioning is powerful.

We needed to stop for a night in Airlie Beach for sailing the next morning, so chose the hotel for it's closeness to the marina. We didn't expect much, but were still a little disappointed to find the room was even tinier than it appeared in pictures; and that the windows were single-glazed and thus failed to stop any of the early-morning noises from the parking lot and rubbish containers being collected right underneath. Clearly, the hotel has not listened to feedback from previous customers about the noise. With room rates practically same as at nearby 4 star hotels, this place turned out to be poor value.

The hotel facilities are excellent, and the pool and gym are well-maintained. The breakfast selection is rich, and the ingredients are fresh. Both check-in and check-out processes were efficient and smooth. The overall environment is quiet and comfortable, making it perfect for both business trips and leisure travel.
