Jubilee Hotel

Very Good

Staying anywhere, my main priority is a good night's sleep and thus the facilities required to deliver it. Jubilee excelled in this respect. Firstly, the Aircon was really effective and, sensitively, it was turned on for my arrival, so I was pre-chilled. A hard core turbo setting lowered my core temperature quickly enough to enter the land of nod without being turned on for a hard core hypnagogic preamble. Just as well, since I was exhausted after an interminable queue on arrival at the airport. Again, the hotel scores location points here, being a stone's throw from the airport, so the driver didn't have to 'cane it' to get me to reception..And, the driver was patiently waiting for me in the early hours with a name placard large and clear enough to be seen by the plane's captain. ( After midnight, transfer is not free but is only 20 $ BND and it was easily arranged with good messaging comms). Secondly, the bed itself was extremely comfortable and equipped with a welcoming threesome of voluptuous... pillows. Whoever conceived that the linen and towels should be immaculate deserves a place in the annals of housekeeping history. This high hygiene trend continued throughout, but , to be as balanced as the BBC, the room being 'well-thumbed' since the hotel's halcyon award-winning era, was showing a few signs of gentle scuffing. Nevertheless, it didn't detract from an overwhelming sense of functional cleanliness. Thirdly, the shower could go through the entire bearable temperature range, relaxing throbbing muscle and eliminating stiffness before bedtime; despite there being a tub there was nothing to shove in the hole, but wants to steep in their own filth anyway and a shower is more sustainable. Basics: kettle, fridge, lighting, bottled water and beverages all supplied and fine - soap and shampoo too, but bring your toothbrush. The restaurant has a wonderful array of delicious food and different cuisines at super reasonable prices - delicious. Back to location: apparently it's perfect in this respect, but I had to spend the day working online - WiFi is good.Last, but not least, the staff are incredibly amenable, friendly, polite and helpful.

The hotel views are absolutely stunning, and the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful. It's really convenient that you can arrange for a shuttle service to go anywhere you want within the hotel grounds. It was a wonderful stay overall.

Our overall stay far exceeded expectations! The hotel was exceptionally clean, and the room facilities were complete and in perfect working order. The location is convenient for getting around, the staff were warm and attentive, and the environment was quiet and comfortable. My friend and I had a very pleasant stay. We will definitely choose this hotel again next time we visit Brunei. Highly recommended!

The best part only swimming pool.. my kid was playing alone, during Ramadhan it seems not many kids were around playing and swimming. Unfortunately, i a bit late to book for sungkai buffet at this hotel, it was already full. and for Sahur buffet, it was not ofered during the 1st week of Ramdhan.. So, actually we came here, it was just for the swimming pool.

Overall a good option for a budget stay in BWN, hotel offers complimentary airport pickup and drop which is a really good facility to have, as grab etc do not work in BWN ( you can download Dart through ) Hotel also offer a city bus tour ( excl Friday ) Location of the hotel is perfect for seeing the main sights ( highlife in pics ) and most things are walkable in that area , it’s literally around the corner from the Radisson and the Brunie hotel so if you want their location but on a budget then this is a good option Rooms are clean and serve their purpose but offer nothing beyond what s standard room would but that’s reflected in the price , I would stay again when in BWN

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would happily return. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, making the check-in process smooth and stress-free. We stayed at Embun in Brunei and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The property is beautifully maintained, blending modern comfort with tasteful local touches — spotless rooms, comfortable beds, and thoughtful amenities that made our stay effortless. The location is peaceful yet conveniently close to key attractions, and the sea views and surrounding trees were perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. What truly set Embun apart were the hosts, Diana and Jimi. Warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, they went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Diana anticipated our preferences, arranged excellent local recommendations, and made check‑in seamless with a friendly, professional manner. Jimi’s local knowledge was invaluable — from arranging transport to sharing insights about hidden gems around Brunei. Both were always available without ever being intrusive, striking the perfect balance between professionalism and sincere hospitality. The food recommendations and small personal touches (welcome refreshments, spotlessly clean bathrooms, and prompt responses to requests) made us feel well cared for throughout our stay. If you’re visiting Brunei and want a comfortable, restful base with hosts who make you feel like a valued guest, Embun with Diana and Jimi is highly recommended. We’ll happily return.

The reception lady was lovely and professional. She verified all the required details promptly and, shared some useful information within the hotel and nearby attractions. The room is pretty standard, comes with the necessary in-room amenities and the air-conditioning was NICE. The environment was pretty neat, no loud noises from the street nor from the air-conditioning. Location of the hotel is ideal. It is near some of the main attractions, while furtherest is about a 15 minutes car ride. Breakfast buffet (at an additional fee) is alright, mainly international cuisine. Tried their in-house restaurant and in-room dining. Food was delicious and affordable. All of the staffs I have came across and interacted were extremely friendly and positive. Nothing much to be picky for this hotel.

The location is fantastic. Even during Ramadan, they prepared breakfast for us. And not just in the room, but we could eat as much as we wanted at the 7th-floor buffet. Thank you! The room is spacious. There are so many light switches that it's hard to figure out which one controls what. There was a kitchen, but it wasn't usable – no pots, pans, plates, or spoons. There's an electric kettle, two complimentary bottles of water, and a fridge. The staff are very kind. I appreciate having a bathtub, and the hot water works. My biggest complaint is that even with the AC turned off, it was still cold. Maintenance came to the room multiple times, but it remained chilly. The pool is a good size, and there's a gym too. A supermarket is conveniently connected next door, along with cafes. Across the road is the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, and it seems to be owned by the same group. Postcards can be found at the Ritz-Carlton gift shop. The hotel front desk offered a service where, for $1 per card, they would go to the post office, buy stamps, and mail them for you – very helpful! A ride to the airport was about $10 via a ride-hailing app. The place has a retro vibe. There were koi fish in the lobby. The biggest issue is the no-smoking policy; you can't smoke outside, in your room, or anywhere on the premises. Apparently, this isn't due to Ramadan but is a Brunei rule.

It is a spacious room & provided all the amenities. The WiFi connection is on and off. The room is very far from the lift. Cleanliness & breakfast ok. There are some restaurants in the hotel. Fair price. They can send to your room.
