We booked a staycation in Dubai to celebrate my birthday, hoping to enjoy some quality time together with my sister. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Mr. Rodel, who assisted us with our luggage. He was extremely polite and accommodating, making us feel welcome from the very start. However, our experience at the reception during check-in was extremely disappointing. When we approached Mr. Abdelrahman at the front desk, he requested our IDs. I provided my Emirates ID since the room was booked under my name. Unfortunately, my sister had forgotten her physical ID and asked if an electronic copy would suffice. He immediately said, “No.” She explained that she had forgotten her ID, and I asked what we should do since we had travelled all the way from Abu Dhabi. I asked if they would accept me but not my sister, what would be the point? His response was once again a firm, “No, we need a physical ID. We cannot do anything about that.” Despite our efforts to explain the situation, he remained unyielding, insisting that only I would be accepted and not my sister. I was extremely frustrated and disappointed, so I requested to speak with the manager. Abdelrahman continued with the check-in process without further engagement. When the manager arrived, he explained that while the protocol does indeed require physical IDs, they would make an exception this time. My sister acknowledged that it was her mistake not to bring her physical ID, but the way Abdelrahman handled the situation was far from satisfactory. His repeated refusals, without offering any alternative solutions, were disappointing—especially considering this is a 5-star hotel. Proper customer service, particularly in the hospitality industry, involves more than just saying “No.” It requires understanding, empathy, and a willingness to assist guests to the best of one’s ability. After check-in, we were assisted by Mr. Choi, who helped us with our bags and escorted us to our room. His professionalism and courteous demeanour were a complete contrast to our earlier experience. Mr. Choi, along with Mr. Rodel, Mr. Gaurav, and Mr. Rozaldo, truly stood out during our stay. They were all incredibly helpful, polite, and welcoming, and they deserve recognition for their excellent customer service. Overall, our stay was pleasant, but the check-in experience left a negative impression. I hope the front desk staff receive further training in customer service, particularly in terms of empathy and problem-solving. A simple “No” is not the answer to every situation, especially when guests are looking for assistance.

The staff are all polite,the hotel provide free shuttle and its 5-10mins away to city center. We had a 50%disc breakfast buffet but you need to inform the hotel reception before going to the restaurant to get the discount.,the room is clean and smells good but there is one room they let thier children out of thier room in the middle of the night and cry for almost an hour..all in all awesome hotel highly recommended👍👍😉

The Obelisk, Dubai Club upgrade is a must! The 360 degree views from floor 51 are unforgettable. I enjoyed many a cup of tea on Floor51 viewing amazing sunsets, the night sky and watching the coloured lights on the Burj Khalifa. During a very hot period due to a sudden change in the weather it was a treat to be able ‘pop’ to floor 51 and enjoy tea/coffee, afternoon tea and drinks in the evening whilst enjoying the stunning views. An excellent breakfast with a wide variety of items to meet all dietary needs. The room was lovely with stunning views. The swimming pool allowed a good swim and was particularly pretty in the evening. Fascinating watching the window cleaners! Not a job I would want. I am full of admiration. We did receive an upgrade as we waited 90 minutes to check in for club class. Staff need to be more relaxed. Just feel they are on edge. Your plate disappears nearly before you have finished eating. This in turn put me on edge. A more welcoming atmosphere needs to be adopted but still remaining standards. A special thank you goes to 'Satish' (do hope I have the correct name). He provided me with excellent service. i do say a very big 'thank you' to him. Satish you left me with some very interesting thoughts! To which I say thank you.

We stayed here for two nights. Hugely satisfied. A+++ for the breakfast with wide variety of foods to choose from. The front desk also provided extra bed for the kids and late check out at zero fee. Surely this hotel is in our plans for our next dubai visit.

Everything is good and worth every penny to stay here. The only upset was the luggage storage service, that I need to leave a luggage in the hotel for 2 days, but the policy might not allow to.

CITY PREMIER HOTEL APARTMENTS - Dubai *Location: (5/5) about 5mins walk from the station (Business Bay Station). 12-15AED taxi ride from Dubai Mall/Burj Khalifa. *Reception/Check-in: (1/5) We arrived early, like 7am, and asked if we could leave our luggage as we explore the city. The hotel's official check-in is at 3pm. We were told they'll have a room ready before 3pm so we can come back around 12pm. Which we did. Past 12pm, I spoke with the same male receptionist in the morning and was told to wait as they prepared our room. And we waited. WE WAITED TILL 3PM! We wasted more than 2 hours waiting at the lobby! We had no problem coming back after 3 pm. I understand you're busy. I get it that locals have to be catered first. BUT don't tell your guests they can check in before the official time if you can't deliver. As a paying customer, IT IS ABSOLUTELY, NOT COOL. *Room: (4/5) It is spacious. 2 toilets, a washer, full kitchen. The bathroom is a bit old, but clean. The room has an IRONING BOARD, BUT NO IRON. Adapter is available upon request at the reception. They refill your bottled water in the room and make the room every day, which is a plus. *RESTAURANT: (4/5) Breakfast was OK. The staff were GREAT! They were attentive to all guests not only to selected guests. KUDOS to the crew at the restaurant. *AMENITIES: (3/5) Too bad we had limited time in Dubai. We weren't able to make use of their pool and sauna. It's on another building (parking area) accessible through a bridge. The staff were accommodating and allowed us to check the area.

I have travelled and stayed in hotels around the world but I never met staff who showed so much willingness to make customers enjoy their stay. Our apartment was spacious and kept clean all the time, for breakfast we were spoiled for choice and thanks to an amazing “certified waitographer who helped is with a family photo every morning, its a pity I cant remember her name but if she sees the attached photo she will remember us. The ever smiling Jenny at reception welcomed us and made us feel at home immediately. Thanks to all the team, in the dinning room your job is difficult but you all kept wonderful smiles. Lovely hotel!! A variety of pools available. Different restaurants with good menus. Hotel staff and services are just brilliant. The hotel surprised us with dessert for our anniversary. Only downside was the ATM at the hotel failed to give the cash when I tried to withdraw some money with my international card, although the amount was deducted from my account and the hotel staff were not exactly helpful with that. They said “We have nothing to do with the bank” and basically did nothing to resolve the issue. Other than that, great hotel. Breakfast buffet was fantastic.

Hotel has surprised me on a very positive way . Location is fine , only 15 min from downtown and you have a metro station near by . I would like to compliment and thank the staff as everyone has been very nice and welcoming . Special remark to the housekeepers who are always smiling and do a great job 👏. In general , Facilities are good and new , also there is a nice rooftop pool with great views to the city .

Best hotel in Dubai. Would recommend to book for 2 nights so that you can enjoy aquaventure waterpark properly. Aquaventure is a must to visit there. Would recommend to purchase a waterproof bag for mobile in advance as its expensive there.

Hotel has surprised me on a very positive way . Location is fine , only 15 min from downtown and you have a metro station near by . I would like to compliment and thank the staff as everyone has been very nice and welcoming . Special remark to the housekeepers who are always smiling and do a great job 👏.
