The "Indonesia arrival card" refers to the unified digital declaration—officially named the All Indonesia Arrival Card.
In the past, visitors filled out a paper customs slip on the plane, followed later by separate digital links for the electronic customs declaration (e-CD) and health tracking forms. These forms are now combined into one online application. When you fill out the single form online, the platform checks three mandatory areas at once:
- Immigration Travel Record: Matches your passport and visit details.
- Customs Declaration (e-CD / Form BC 2.2): Details your luggage contents, items brought for business, and monetary value.
- Health & Quarantine Statement: Incorporates health tracking previously handled by the SATUSEHAT Health Pass.
Who Needs to Fill Out the Indonesia Arrival Card? (Exemptions Included)
Mandatory Users
The digital declaration is required for all international passengers crossing into Indonesian territory:
- Foreign tourists, digital nomads, and short-term business travelers.
- KITAS / KITAP (long-term residence permit) holders.
- Indonesian citizens returning home from abroad.
- Families & Minors: Every traveler needs to be declared. However, one adult head of household can list up to 4 family members under a single group declaration.
Exemptions
- Direct International Transit: If your connecting flight arrives at an airport like Jakarta (CGK) or Denpasar (DPS) and you stay within the international transit lounge without passing through Indonesian passport control or re-checking luggage, you do not need to fill out the form.
Indonesia Arrival - Document Requirements & Customs Rules
Gather these details before opening the online portal:
1. Travel & Identity Authorizations
- Valid Passport: Must have at least 6 months of validity remaining beyond your arrival date.
- Entry Visa or e-VOA: Most nationalities require a Visa on Arrival (VOA) or an electronic Visa on Arrival (e-VOA) applied for online via
evisa.imigrasi.go.id.The standard tourist e-VOA costs 500,000 IDR (~$31 USD). - Bali Tourist Levy (Bali Only): If flying directly into Bali (DPS), you must pay a separate local tourist fee of 150,000 IDR (~$9 USD) per entry. This is completely separate from the free nationwide arrival card.
2. Customs Declarations & Financial Limits
- Currency Limit: Carrying cash or financial instruments totaling 100,000,000 IDR (~$6,200 USD) or more requires mandatory declaration.
- Duty-Free Exemption: Personal belongings up to $500 USD (~8,000,000 IDR) per individual are duty-free. Goods worth more than $500 USD brought for commercial use or remaining in Indonesia must be declared and taxed at the customs exit.
- Alcohol & Tobacco Limits: Adults (21+) are strictly limited to 1 liter of alcohol and 200 cigarettes (or 25 cigars). Excess alcohol will be seized and destroyed without an option to pay extra duty.
- IMEI Registration (Phones): If you plan to stay in Indonesia for more than 90 days and wish to use a physical local SIM card in a phone bought outside Indonesia, you must register the phone's IMEI number within the arrival card platform. Phones valued under $500 USD are exempt from import duty taxes upon registration.

How to Fill Out the Indonesia Arrival Card Online
Use the official government site (allindonesia.imigrasi.go.id) on your mobile browser or laptop.
1.Access the Portal:Open only official government links.
Go to allindonesia.imigrasi.go.id. Select Foreign Visitor. Avoid third-party websites asking for payment—the official declaration is 100% FREE ($0 USD / 0 IDR).
2.Enter Passport & Flight Data:Double-check against your passport.
Type your full name exactly as shown in your passport's machine-readable zone. Provide your flight number, date of entry, and intended address (hotel name or villa address).
3.Answer Customs & Health Declarations:Complete health and baggage items.
Answer the health tracking questions regarding recent symptom history and international travel within the past 21 days. Complete the baggage section by declaring any high-value items, commercial samples, or agricultural products.
4.Save Your Confirmation QR Code:Download image file.
Submit the declaration. A unique summary page containing a generated QR code will appear. Take a screenshot and save the image file directly to your phone's photo library.

When your flight lands at major international gateways such as Jakarta (CGK) or Bali (DPS), follow this terminal walkthrough:

- Avoid Paid Scams: The arrival card is completely free. If a site asks for a credit card to "process" your arrival card, you are on a fake or third-party reseller website. Check the URL—it should end in
.go.id. - Save an Offline Screenshot: Airport cellular and Wi-Fi networks in immigration halls can drop. Always take a screenshot of your generated QR code before boarding your flight so you can display it offline.

The hotel is located within a large complex. There are many restaurants just a street away, and it's a pleasant 10-15 minute walk to the Collection mall, or you can use the scheduled shuttle service. The hotel isn't directly on the beach, but they offer regular shuttle rides to and from the seaside. Most of the hotel staff are very friendly, with the exception of a few at the beach. Every time I tried to buy a coconut at the beach, the staff would say they were sold out. And when I tried to order other drinks, they seemed quite annoyed. The room itself was spacious and very clean. They provide four complimentary bottles of water daily, and you can request four more. Any additional bottles after that come with a charge. This is a premium hotel far outside of Ubud center. Be aware you are about 30 minutes from Ubud if you stay here and there really isn't much to do in the immediate area besides stare at the jungle. Staff was outstanding here with frequent greetings by name and remembering you like a Ritz Carlton.
Because I enjoy regular outings I actually found the location quite inconvenient as an hour a day would have to be devoted just to getting to and from Ubud.
The room I got was enormous and included a dining room, sitting room, bedroom, large bathroom. The in room amenities were great including a free restocking mini bar with snacks (no alcohol) and a large smart TV. The bed was huge, soft, and comfortable.
The bathtub was a downside as it was quite small by western standards (not as small as a japanese tub though). I'm not a very big individual at 173cm and I felt it was too narrow and not long enough. Perhaps suitable for petite individuals only. Be aware of that if like me and many Americans you prefer baths over showers.
The property is very large and you will likely want to regularly use the phone to request the on site golf cart shuttles to get around it as otherwise you will spend much of your time walking uphill from the rooms to the amenities near the entrance like the restaurant and pool.FromHK$576

We chose this hotel for the last two nights of our Bali trip because it offered excellent value compared to many other resorts in Bali and even other InterContinental properties. The resort itself is huge, with a wide variety of facilities including separate adult and family pools, an indoor gym, a calisthenics gym, beautiful ponds, direct beach access, and very friendly staff. On paper, it seemed like a fantastic choice.
Unfortunately, our stay turned out to be extremely disappointing.
We stayed in room number 4127. On our first night, both of us woke up covered in insect bites despite sleeping tucked under the blankets. Around midnight, we had to spray both the bed and ourselves with insect repellent just to get through the night. The following morning, we reported the issue and requested a room change because we were concerned there might be insects in the mattress. Instead, we were only offered fresh bed sheets and a general cleaning of the room.
Sadly, the exact same thing happened again on the second night. We woke up with even more bites and no longer felt safe sleeping in the bed. We strongly suspected there were bugs hiding in the mattress. We ended up leaving the room in the middle of the night and spent the rest of the night in the hotel lobby because we were too afraid to return to bed.
What disappointed us the most was how the situation was handled. We showed the staff numerous photos documenting the bites over both nights, yet the only compensation offered was to waive a small bill (about RMB 55) for an ice cream and a coffee. Considering we lost two nights of sleep, experienced significant discomfort, and had to spend an entire night in the lobby, this response felt inadequate and did not reflect the level of service we expected.
In addition, the hotel itself feels quite dated. Although it has its charm, many areas appear to have aged significantly. The towels were noticeably worn, wooden fixtures were chipped, and the overall condition suggested the property is overdue for a major renovation.
We genuinely wanted to enjoy our stay because the resort has so much potential. The grounds are beautiful, the facilities are plentiful, and the staff we interacted with were polite and friendly. However, the insect issue and the hotel’s response overshadowed everything else. We hope management takes this feedback seriously and thoroughly investigates the mattresses and rooms so future guests do not have the same experience.FromHK$1,188

My stay at Renaissance Bali Uluwatu started with a hiccup, it ended on such a wonderful note that I would happily return.
Due to a system error, I was given the wrong room type upon check-in, and unfortunately there were no vacant rooms available that day. However, the hotel team handled the situation professionally. The very next day, they upgraded me to their best room category as part of their service recovery, which I truly appreciated.
What made the experience even more memorable was the genuine hospitality. The staff noticed it was my birthday and surprised me during breakfast by singing a birthday song. I was touched, although a little awkward too 😅. A special mention to Manager Aldi, who consistently checked in on me whenever we crossed paths around the hotel to make sure everything was going well. That personal touch made a big difference.

Location is generally good. Accessible to a lot of locations. Staff can be friendlier considering its a 4 stars hotel. Simple gesture like pressing the lift, helping to open door when car arrive are value added bonuses. Room sound proof is pretty bad. Can literally hear kids laughing sound or the sound from the pool.
Got to take extra note when check out as well. They dont check the room and just discharge accordingly, so if you left item inside, so be it.

Everything about this hotel was exceptional, especially considering the price range compared to other hotels in the area. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed with their kindness, professionalism, and warm smiles. The service was outstanding in every detail.

The room was too humid, probably due to the air conditioning, making both the floor and bedding damp. I had to ask for towels to lay on the floor and a new comforter. The soundproofing isn't great, but it was fine for an overnight stay. The breakfast was good, with plenty of eggs. It's a 10-minute drive from the airport and they offer a shuttle service. There's a small supermarket, massage, and currency exchange right next to the hotel, which is much better than the airport's, so that was convenient.
There's a pool, a large lawn, and it's close to the beach, though the beach itself was a bit dirty and messy. You can watch planes land from the beach.
I booked an airport transfer for the next morning and confirmed it twice, being told it was all set. However, when I went down early to wait for the car, it wasn't there. Luckily, I went down early enough that the front desk was able to call a temporary ride.FromHK$355

For my second hotel in Bali, I chose the Element by Westin Ubud. Given that Bali is famous for its rainforests in addition to its beaches, and Ubud is the heart of terraced rice paddies, rainforests, and traditional architecture, I opted for a hotel there. However, I won't be staying at this property again.
**Service:**
The staff are mostly young and energetic, with good attitudes. However, my overall experience was just mediocre, mainly due to two issues:
1. During check-in, they recommended a Chinese New Year's Eve dinner. I paid by topping up an account, but then they told me they had no change. It took several phone calls the night before departure to finally get my change back.
2. The Chinese dinner itself was also a letdown. The food selection was limited and even less extensive than the breakfast. Plus, drinks had to be purchased separately. For a buffet at this price point, it was quite unacceptable.
**Location:**
The hotel is quite secluded, about a 40-minute walk from the heart of Ubud. Taking a taxi takes roughly the same amount of time due to heavy traffic. The surroundings are very isolated, so I wouldn't recommend it.
It's a 20-minute drive to the rice terraces.
**Facilities:**
1. I initially booked a pool access room based on pictures, expecting it to be right outside my door. However, upon arrival, I discovered a significant gap: the room was on the same floor as the pool, but I still had to walk a fair distance to reach it. The photos were misleading.
2. The bathroom lacked body lotion and a weighing scale. For a five-star hotel, this felt a bit underwhelming and not quite up to par.
3. Furthermore, some rooms had issues with their sinks, indicating a lack of proper maintenance.FromHK$875

Been here for 3 nights for our honeymoon. the staffs were incredibly nice. we are Bali people but we did not get or feel any discrimination at all, they treat us the same as foreigners. they have natural hot spring water pool, it was hot honestly, so we did not go very often. but they have ocean view pool and garden view pool which much cooler. Check in was smooth. Staffs were friendly.
Hotel is huge, they have 3 blocks. I got the far end of the block which was a little bit away from the reception and the restaurants and the open space for smoking.
In 2 circumstances, i walked up to the room and the door card could not work. This happened in 2 different nights. I had to walk down and got it reset, but the staffs didnt bother to apologise for this. The first time it happened I was okay, but the second time it happened, I got pissed off, because it was a long walk from the room to the reception.
If you order food delivery, it will be a long walk to take your food at the reception.
If you got the rooms at the reception level, I'm sure it will be a great experience like the first time I was there in the Junior Suite, but this time it was not as pleasant.

The hotel's location is excellent; we could watch the beach sunset from the 6th-floor restaurant. After the sun set, it was just a convenient 5-minute walk to the nearby beach, and the evening glow was beautiful. The breakfast was plentiful, with both Western and Indonesian options. I highly recommend the coconut milk beef soup; its flavor was uniquely wonderful. For dinner, we ate at the 6th-floor restaurant while watching the sunset. We ordered grilled fish, but they didn't have the one on the menu and substituted it with blue marlin. It was grilled so tough it was hard to chew and had no flavor. So, the next evening, we went to the convenient Village Hotel next to the Fox Hotel for dinner, and it was delicious. Just about ten meters out of the hotel alley, at the intersection, there's a small shop selling various souvenirs, which are quite cheap and worth a look. The bottled water provided by the hotel felt like it was refilled, so I didn't dare to drink it. We bought large bottles of water from the small shop for drinking and brushing our teeth. The hotel was very nice; even though they were fully booked, they still allowed us to check out an hour late. Around 1 PM, the hotel lobby was breezy and quite cool.FromHK$251

The hotel is in a great city-centre location, making it convenient to access nearby attractions, restaurants, and shopping areas. The staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay. Breakfast was included and offered a wide variety of options, catering to different tastes and preferences.
However, there were several issues that affected our experience. The room description on Trip.com stated that the bed would be either a queen bed or twin beds, but we were instead given a king bed, even though we tried checking in as early as possible so that we can get a twin beds room. Bed type should be clearly specified and guaranteed during the booking process to avoid misunderstandings.
The hotel's carpet is quite old and had a noticeable smell. In one of our rooms, the air conditioner appeared dusty and barely blew any air. However, after we contacted the front desk, the issue was resolved promptly, which we appreciated. The curtains were also not blackout curtains, allowing too much light into the room early in the morning.
Despite requesting a quiet room, we were assigned a room next to the swimming pool. The soundproofing was also quite poor, and we could clearly hear people walking and talking along the corridor throughout the day and night, which affected our rest.FromHK$143

Good day! This was our first time visiting this hotel. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay. Let's start with the pros: nice spacious rooms, a great view, wonderful pillows, and delicious breakfasts. The beach is beautiful with easy access to the water.
Now for the cons: 1. The hotel is starting to show its age and needs renovation, especially the common areas. 2. Beach cleaning was slow. 3. It was difficult to find a sun lounger; if you didn't claim one early in the morning, you risked being without one. There were also issues with towels. 4. The restaurants were very expensive, about three times pricier than those at Bali Collection. There was an incident with our room, and it took a while to resolve the issue. However, to the hotel's credit, they offered us a complimentary meal at the Chinese restaurant as a nice gesture. This hotel is a very good choice 👍🏼 I am a little picky, but here’s my review:
Pros:
✅ No damp smell, well ventilated ( I was worried about this)
✅ No insects in the room. There might be some geckos 🦎 (which is normal and expected) but I didn’t see any.
✅ Very clean in general
✅ Comfortable bed
✅ The service is amazing
✅ The staff is very friendly and helpful
✅ The breakfast is very good, there are plenty of choices.
✅ Their restaurant is also very good, in case you don’t want to go out of the resort.
✅ The vibe at the beach is nice and if you like water sports it is also good.
✅ The pool is huge and very nice
✅ Reasonable price (but it will depend on the season and demand)
Cons:
😑 Sound proof can be better, one can hear everyone from the pool (the sound enters from the main door)
😑 The beach is not the best for swimming, and is a bit dirty in general (not the hotel’s fault)
😑 The gym can be better as there are only 3 machines (spinning, treadmill and elliptical) the dumbbells are fine
✅😄 Overall, recommended! I was happy with my stay at this hotel!

🛎️ Check-in & Staff: Staff were friendly all over the hotel. Check-in was smooth — our room wasn't ready yet, but they kindly offered us a complimentary tea hour at the Khatha Lounge while we waited. A lovely touch.
🛏️ The Room: Spacious, and they had the sofa bed set up for our family in advance. However, our first room was on a corridor that acts as the main pass-through to all other rooms — nearly every guest walks past your door. It was very noisy, especially at night, and got much worse in the evenings with guests staying up for the World Cup games. I had to go to reception very late at night to request a change. Tip: avoid rooms 1502–1510.
👍 To their credit, reception handled it well and moved us to a quieter floor away from the elevator. So in the end, just 1 noisy night out of our 5-night stay.
🏊 Pool: Very large — essentially 4 connected pools, including a dedicated kids' pool (around 40 cm deep) with slides. Perfect for children.
🍳 Breakfast: Very good with a wide variety of options.
💆 Spa: Very nice and clean.
Verdict: A warm, family-friendly resort with excellent facilities and staff who genuinely fix problems when they arise. Would stay again — just request a room away from the main corridor.

We had a wonderful stay at Andaz Bali. The resort is beautiful, peaceful, and very well maintained, with a great balance of modern comfort and Balinese character.
We stayed in the lagoon access suite, which was definitely a highlight of the trip. Having direct access from our terrace into the lagoon was fantastic, and being able to swim all the way to the main pool made the experience feel really special. The suite itself was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed.
The staff were consistently warm, friendly, and attentive. Alacarte buffet breakfast offered a great variety of local and international options and hand crafted juices and smoothies. Everything we tried throughout our stay was excellent.
Overall, Andaz Bali is a fantastic resort for a relaxing getaway. The combination of the beautiful grounds, excellent service, and the lagoon access suite made for a memorable stay. One of the best, if not the best in Sanur. We'd happily return.FromHK$1,964

Absolutely no variety. A huge downside is the noise! If your room is near the elevator, expect constant banging and humming. You can also clearly hear conversations and other noises from the neighboring room.

Stayed at Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve with my family. The hotel lobby is grand and absolutely stunning! Our room was spacious, and the bedding was clean and comfortable. We received delicious welcome fruits and snacks, and there was an ample supply of drinking water. Our Chinese butler, Nessa (Honghong), was incredibly helpful during our two-day stay! She was always responsive to our requests, replied promptly, was understanding, patient, and provided attentive and thoughtful service.
It happened to be Mother's Day, and Nessa helped my son fulfill his idea of surprising me. I received beautiful flowers, a cake, and a thoughtful card from the hotel!
The Indonesian restaurant's breakfast spread was fresh and abundant, offering both buffet and à la carte options. The staff were proactive, polite, and friendly! Nova was particularly understanding; seeing that I liked mangosteen but wasn't sure how to open it, she kindly prepared it for me and brought it over. It was a truly heartwarming gesture!
