The "Indonesia arrival card" refers to the unified digital declaration—officially named the All Indonesia Arrival Card.
In the past, visitors filled out a paper customs slip on the plane, followed later by separate digital links for the electronic customs declaration (e-CD) and health tracking forms. These forms are now combined into one online application. When you fill out the single form online, the platform checks three mandatory areas at once:
- Immigration Travel Record: Matches your passport and visit details.
- Customs Declaration (e-CD / Form BC 2.2): Details your luggage contents, items brought for business, and monetary value.
- Health & Quarantine Statement: Incorporates health tracking previously handled by the SATUSEHAT Health Pass.
Who Needs to Fill Out the Indonesia Arrival Card? (Exemptions Included)
Mandatory Users
The digital declaration is required for all international passengers crossing into Indonesian territory:
- Foreign tourists, digital nomads, and short-term business travelers.
- KITAS / KITAP (long-term residence permit) holders.
- Indonesian citizens returning home from abroad.
- Families & Minors: Every traveler needs to be declared. However, one adult head of household can list up to 4 family members under a single group declaration.
Exemptions
- Direct International Transit: If your connecting flight arrives at an airport like Jakarta (CGK) or Denpasar (DPS) and you stay within the international transit lounge without passing through Indonesian passport control or re-checking luggage, you do not need to fill out the form.
Indonesia Arrival - Document Requirements & Customs Rules
Gather these details before opening the online portal:
1. Travel & Identity Authorizations
- Valid Passport: Must have at least 6 months of validity remaining beyond your arrival date.
- Entry Visa or e-VOA: Most nationalities require a Visa on Arrival (VOA) or an electronic Visa on Arrival (e-VOA) applied for online via
evisa.imigrasi.go.id.The standard tourist e-VOA costs 500,000 IDR (~$31 USD). - Bali Tourist Levy (Bali Only): If flying directly into Bali (DPS), you must pay a separate local tourist fee of 150,000 IDR (~$9 USD) per entry. This is completely separate from the free nationwide arrival card.
2. Customs Declarations & Financial Limits
- Currency Limit: Carrying cash or financial instruments totaling 100,000,000 IDR (~$6,200 USD) or more requires mandatory declaration.
- Duty-Free Exemption: Personal belongings up to $500 USD (~8,000,000 IDR) per individual are duty-free. Goods worth more than $500 USD brought for commercial use or remaining in Indonesia must be declared and taxed at the customs exit.
- Alcohol & Tobacco Limits: Adults (21+) are strictly limited to 1 liter of alcohol and 200 cigarettes (or 25 cigars). Excess alcohol will be seized and destroyed without an option to pay extra duty.
- IMEI Registration (Phones): If you plan to stay in Indonesia for more than 90 days and wish to use a physical local SIM card in a phone bought outside Indonesia, you must register the phone's IMEI number within the arrival card platform. Phones valued under $500 USD are exempt from import duty taxes upon registration.

How to Fill Out the Indonesia Arrival Card Online
Use the official government site (allindonesia.imigrasi.go.id) on your mobile browser or laptop.
1.Access the Portal:Open only official government links.
Go to allindonesia.imigrasi.go.id. Select Foreign Visitor. Avoid third-party websites asking for payment—the official declaration is 100% FREE ($0 USD / 0 IDR).
2.Enter Passport & Flight Data:Double-check against your passport.
Type your full name exactly as shown in your passport's machine-readable zone. Provide your flight number, date of entry, and intended address (hotel name or villa address).
3.Answer Customs & Health Declarations:Complete health and baggage items.
Answer the health tracking questions regarding recent symptom history and international travel within the past 21 days. Complete the baggage section by declaring any high-value items, commercial samples, or agricultural products.
4.Save Your Confirmation QR Code:Download image file.
Submit the declaration. A unique summary page containing a generated QR code will appear. Take a screenshot and save the image file directly to your phone's photo library.
Step-by-Step Arrival Process at Indonesian Airports
Airport Arrival (AIGC Image, Only for reference)
When your flight lands at major international gateways such as Jakarta (CGK) or Bali (DPS), follow this terminal walkthrough:

- Immigration Screening: Walk toward Passport Control. If you have an electronic passport (chip embedded), an approved e-VOA, and are at least 6 years old, proceed to the automated Autogates for quick biometric clearance. - Green or Red Channel Exit: If you declared nothing special and your QR scan clears, walk out through the Green Channel. If you declared commercial goods, extra currency, or are selected for random screening, follow the officer's directions to the Red Channel X-ray scanners.
When Should You Fill Out the Indonesia Arrival Card?
- Submission Window: The online form accepts submissions starting 72 hours (3 days) before your scheduled arrival date in Indonesia.
- Recommended Timing: Complete the form 24 to 48 hours before your flight departs. Do not wait until you land in Indonesia, as airport terminal Wi-Fi connections can be slow or congested during peak arrival hours.
Indonesia Arrival Card Tips and Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Avoid Paid Scams: The arrival card is completely free. If a site asks for a credit card to "process" your arrival card, you are on a fake or third-party reseller website. Check the URL—it should end in
.go.id. - Save an Offline Screenshot: Airport cellular and Wi-Fi networks in immigration halls can drop. Always take a screenshot of your generated QR code before boarding your flight so you can display it offline.
- Declare All Agricultural & Food Products: Carrying fresh fruit, meats, plant seeds, or animal products without declaring them violates biosecurity rules, leading to immediate confiscation and fines.
- Match Passport Details Exactly: Ensure there are no typos in your passport number or birth date on the application. A single incorrect character will prevent the airport scanner from retrieving your declaration.

This resort in Uluwatu was an amazing experience! I was pleasantly surprised with a free room upgrade upon check-in, and the room had a fantastic view. The resort's environment is beautiful and peaceful, with lush greenery everywhere. The staff were warm and polite, creating a wonderful vacation atmosphere. The pool is huge and I absolutely loved it; I could spend all day lounging by the pool. It's also quite close to the beach, perfect for surfing. I have a very pleasant stay here. At 2014 back then when it is still Nikko, my brother had his wedding here and I appreciate the hotel still have their name hang in the wall near Wiwaha Chapel. A very good hotel. There are 4 or 5 restaurants, bars, and cafes on site. They have an entertaining evening program. The grounds are large, beautiful, and green, with two pools (one for children with slides and a basketball hoop, and one for adults with a bar). Both pools are separate, so adults can relax by the pool without the screams and squeals of children. The children's pool has family nest-like sunbeds, which are very convenient. The service is top-notch, and all the staff are friendly. The hotel's location is also convenient, near the main street of Sanur, where there are cafes, shops, and stalls. I initially thought this would be the most negative review of our entire trip to Bali, but let me explain why it's actually the highest rating, and that's all thanks to the amazing staff. We stayed in many places across Bali and, of course, spent nights in various accommodations. Upon check-in, everything seemed perfect, but then I noticed the floors were dirty and the breakfasts weren't quite what we'd imagined. BUT, the staff called a cleaning crew who cleaned the room perfectly with a huge floor-washing machine! Later, we discovered that we really liked the omelets, chicken, and other varieties at breakfast. It would be a sin to complain given the incredibly low price of the breakfasts. The staff were always friendly and smiling, and I want to give a special thank you to all of them for making our stay so pleasant. The location is fantastic as it's easy to get anywhere; we chose this place primarily for quick access to all points of interest, and it truly is convenient. It's great that there's underground parking, so the scooter doesn't bake in the sun. Later, we decided to order food from the restaurant and asked for it to be delivered to our room; the portions were super large, and the cost was very reasonable. Also, there's a good mix of young and old people here, a great contrast! For those who prefer no insects, we also highly recommend it!From£28

The staff were very friendly, helpful, and genuinely service-minded. They were also happy to recommend places and things to do around the area, which we really appreciated.
Unfortunately, there were several issues that significantly affected our stay. During the daytime, there was some burning happening around the nearby rice field, and the smell came directly into our room. It became uncomfortable enough that we had to leave the hotel for a few hours and only came back in the evening.
The biggest problem, however, was the air conditioning. In the middle of the night, the room became extremely cold even though we had not intended to make it that cold. We were surprised to find the air conditioner running at 17°C with the fan at maximum speed. We had to wake up several times to adjust the temperature, and because of this we could not sleep properly until early morning.
The Wi-Fi was also very poor. Once our phones connected to the hotel Wi-Fi, the internet was practically unusable, so we eventually had to disconnect and use our own roaming mobile data instead.
Overall, the staff and service were good, but the air conditioning and internet problems seriously affected the comfort of our stay. If these two issues were fixed, the experience would be much better.From£14

This time, there was construction work that started at 8 AM and continued until late evening. I had a very pleasant stay overall. The staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming with a drink, which made the experience even better. The hotel was clean, well maintained, and the room was spacious and comfortable.
One small detail I really appreciated was the TV having YouTube Premium, which was great for relaxing in the room.
The food was decent, although I felt it could be improved slightly. There was, however, a good selection of drinks available.

We arrived late that day and had plans to go to Lovina the next, so we booked a hotel closer to the airport to get a good night's rest before heading out. The hotel was very close; we walked there in less than 15 minutes after landing. This Holiday Inn has both an Express and a Resort, so be careful not to go to the wrong one. We actually went to the Resort lobby to check in, which was a bit of a mix-up, but luckily the Express was right next door. The room was quite spacious, clean, and tidy. The rooftop pool was nice too; since we arrived at night, I imagine during the day you'd have great sea and resort views from there. The staff were also very warm and friendly. The only downside was that breakfast was a bit mediocre with limited options, but overall, it offered excellent value for money!From£30

The service was exceptional from beginning to end. Everyone was incredibly kind, attentive and welcoming, and throughout our stay we felt genuinely well cared for. A very special thank you to the wonderful team at Clay Craft Restaurant, which we visited every day - they made our breakfasts and meals even more enjoyable with their warmth and hospitality.
And the breakfasts themselves deserve a separate mention. The selection was absolutely incredible - honestly, I don’t think I have ever experienced such a wide variety of breakfast options at a hotel before. Every morning felt like an experience in itself.
Our room was spacious, beautifully designed and extremely comfortable, with a lovely view from the windows. The entire resort is created in a way that makes it very easy to relax, even if you decide to spend the whole day at the hotel.
We also really appreciated the variety of activities offered by the resort and the helpful Uluwatu guide, which made exploring the area even easier.

The staff asked me to leave a review before I checked out, so here it is. First, I definitely don't recommend coming here straight from the airport on your first day in Bali. It's incredibly remote, a two-hour drive, which is pure torture after a long-haul flight. The hotel itself is small, and there's absolutely nothing around it. If your goal isn't just to completely relax, I wouldn't suggest making the long journey out here. Then there's the room rate of 3400 (including tax), and the pool isn't even heated, which is quite baffling. Breakfast was included, and they recommended a floating breakfast but didn't explicitly mention the 600K charge. If breakfast wasn't included, I wouldn't mind paying, but having it included yet ending up with a limited option and only finding out about the 600K debt upon checkout is a bit bewildering. The food isn't great, and the cocktails aren't much better. The bathtub didn't have hot water late at night, and it took two people to finally get some running, but it was just a trickle, taking an hour to fill the tub. Overall, there's absolutely nothing impressive about this place. It's not bad, but I don't think it's worth the price.From£65

Aside from diving, the hotel was okay. There were a lot of flies in the restaurant, and many mosquitoes during dinner. The hotel's dive center was a bit of a rip-off. For scuba diving, they'd make excuses not to go to the further dive spots; 2 out of 3 dives would be in the same place, just a few dozen meters apart. For snorkeling, they only let you go once, and it costs more than double what you'd pay outside. Plus, they wouldn't even take you to the island. They said we'd be back between 2:30 PM and 3:00 PM, but for our three dives, we were back by 1:00 PM. They probably wanted to eat earlier. You can tell how perfunctory their service was.From£34

Hotel is huge, they have 3 blocks. I got the far end of the block which was a little bit away from the reception and the restaurants and the open space for smoking.
In 2 circumstances, i walked up to the room and the door card could not work. This happened in 2 different nights. I had to walk down and got it reset, but the staffs didnt bother to apologise for this. The first time it happened I was okay, but the second time it happened, I got pissed off, because it was a long walk from the room to the reception.
If you order food delivery, it will be a long walk to take your food at the reception.
If you got the rooms at the reception level, I'm sure it will be a great experience like the first time I was there in the Junior Suite, but this time it was not as pleasant.
Thumbs up though for the housekeeping, as the found out I had many shirts lying on the sofa, they brought a small clothes rack and hung my shirts.From£19

This place is absolutely beautiful, completely enveloped in greenery. The service is top-notch, with daily housekeeping ensuring everything is spotless and tidy. The staff are incredibly polite, attentive, and always smiling. Breakfasts are à la carte and absolutely delicious. The views from the restaurant and our room window are stunning. If you love lush greenery and tranquility, you definitely need to visit this hotel. The only minor inconvenience is the cascading layout of the buildings, but there's a quick solution – just call for a buggy, and it arrives fast.
It so happened that we celebrated our wedding anniversary at the hotel (I mentioned this when booking). The hotel is great; they offer in-room massage and spa services for 150k for an hour. The room is spacious and comfortable, but the window faces another room. Shopping is close to Bali Agung, but the best and cheapest place is Krisna, where you can shop 24 hours a day, so there's plenty of time to explore late into the night before shopping. Icon Bali Mall is great because it's near Sanur beach. The avocado coconut drink was exceptionally good; we looked for it every day, averaging 20-30k. Eating at the most VIP and delicious restaurants for 5 people ranged from 300k-500k; the food was truly heavenly, cheap, and delicious, even in the mall. Street food is even cheaper, but we were afraid of getting diarrhea as it might not suit our stomachs. My stay at Kenran Resort Ubud was mixed. I had specifically booked a room with a terrace on the 2nd or 3rd floor, but when I arrived, I was given a room on the 1st floor instead. Unfortunately, the room had a very strong mold smell, which made the first night quite unpleasant.
I raised the issue with the staff, and only after a fairly long discussion did they agree to move me to another room the following day. Once I was moved to the 3rd floor, the experience changed completely. The room was much better, and the views from the resort were genuinely beautiful.
My main advice to future guests would be to check the room carefully when you arrive, especially if you are placed on the 1st floor. Based on my experience, I would personally avoid the first-floor rooms.
The breakfast was another weak point for me. The menu felt limited and could definitely be improved.
Overall, the resort has amazing views and a lot of potential, and my stay became very enjoyable after moving to the 3rd floor. However, the first-day room issue and the breakfast quality stopped it from being a great experience from the beginning.From£60

I liked the hotel and its location near the sea. The breakfast food was delicious and varied every day. The only thing I didn't like, which isn't related to the hotel itself, is that there are warungs (food stalls) before the turn to the hotel, and they produce a lot of smoke, especially in the evening. Our recent stay at The Apurva Kempinski Bali was, overall, a comfortable and pleasant experience. The resort is grand in scale with striking architecture. The magnificent lobby and large swimming pools are particularly impressive, truly showcasing the elegance of a five-star luxury resort. The hotel's beachfront is also quite nice, featuring clean sand and clear water, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sun and ocean views.
As for the room, the decor felt relatively new, clean, and comfortable. The soundproofing and air conditioning performance were both satisfactory, bringing the overall accommodation quality to a very high standard. The staff were professional, friendly, and attentive, living up to the standards expected of a luxury hotel.
However, the dining experience fell a bit short. Although the restaurant service was excellent, the food quality was only average. Breakfast, in particular, failed to fully meet expectations for a hotel of this caliber in terms of both taste and overall quality. We decided to stay at this hotel for a night before our fishing trip, and we are so incredibly glad we chose this place! From the moment we arrived, the experience was wonderful. The location is very convenient, and the sea here is just great for relaxing.
A special huge thank you to the staff, who are absolutely sweet and highly responsive. We want to specifically mention Nicho at the reception and the Duty Manager, Ryan Bawa, for their excellent hospitality. Right after we checked in, they even called our room to ask if everything was okay and if we needed anything-such a thoughtful and attentive gesture!
For families, this is a fantastic choice because the nannies in the kids' club are wonderful and take great care of the little ones.
The dining experience was also a big highlight. The food portions are very large and satisfying, and the breakfast is simply excellent. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning!From£71

Just like other reviews mentioned, the location was great, the atmosphere was lovely, the food was delicious, and the staff were friendly – everything was wonderful. However, there was just one thing: there were two or three mosquitoes in the room, and each of us got more than 10 bites. When the hotel staff asked if anything was bothering us, I jokingly mentioned the mosquito problem, and they said there was nothing they could do, so I just accepted it. The next day, I searched online, went to a supermarket, bought something like a mosquito repellent mat, and plugged it in, which helped a bit.
After that, I moved to a 5-star hotel in another area, and guess what? There was already a mosquito repellent mat in the room! Perhaps that's why there are no mosquitoes here, and I finally feel comfortable. It would be great if there was a little more thoughtful service. Nevertheless, the food at Fisherman's Club was absolutely delicious, and we had a great time. Next time, I think I'll bring three liquid mosquito repellent mats with me!From£178

My impressions are mixed. On the plus side: the hotel has a pleasant nook, the road leading to it and the surrounding area are nice, and there's a small lake and a couple of decent restaurants for a quick bite right opposite. It's much better than most of Uluwatu, which is filled with broken roads and endless construction. The rooms are a bit dated; there was a nail sticking out from under the TV stand, and the toilet kept making a flushing noise occasionally after pressing the button, but overall it was clean and tidy. We didn't ask to change rooms, though. Breakfast was satisfactory; like everywhere else, it was sometimes difficult to get eggs from the station, but there were many alternatives like pancakes, local soups and main courses, pastries, and desserts. The same restaurant for lunch/dinner was a bit overpriced, portions were smaller than usual, and there wasn't much meat in the dishes. We also had to order drinks twice and wait before being told they were out of stock. For savings, I recommend joining the hotel's loyalty program for a 20% discount on your bill, but for truly good food, it's better to eat outside the hotel. We booked the hotel with 'bonuses' including a massage, which was fine, and welcome drinks (available any day at the restaurant/bar) – these turned out to be just two tiny glasses of boxed juice. Honestly, it would be better not to offer such a gift at all than to offer that. We only dipped into the pool once; there were no staff members on that floor at all, so we had to bring our own towels. There's a billiards table, but it's always covered with a cloth. There were some cracked tiles and construction boards in places, and they were mowing the lawn nearby. Definitely not a place for a full day of chilling, but you can go for a quick half-hour swim. My biggest dissatisfaction at the hotel was with the towel situation and the staff's response to it. Initially, there were only THREE towels in the room. For two people. In a supposedly four-star hotel. Two bath towels and one foot towel, that's it. Immediately after checking in, we went to the reception and asked for two more small hand towels. A couple of hours later, nothing. We went a second time, and okay, they brought the towels, problem solved. But the next day during cleaning, they took these towels (and note, they weren't thrown on the floor; the hotel's policy is supposedly 'eco-friendly,' and according to the rules in the room, towels for 'replacement' are supposed to be thrown on the floor), and didn't provide new ones. Another trip to reception followed, and we agreed that for the rest of our stay, no towels in our room should be changed at all – just the trash taken out. This rule was followed for another day, but then the towels were taken again. We were too tired to fight it anymore and just accepted it. Judging by other reviews and the situation we observed, there's high staff turnover here; there's one competent administrator, but the rest are green trainees who know absolutely nothing. Also, I recommend getting a room with a balcony, because after two days of drying inside the room, I still had to use a hairdryer on my swimsuit to pack it in my suitcase. The villas are incredibly spacious with unparalleled views. Everything you can touch, and even what you can see, is spotless. The outdoor loungers are very clean. The in-room appliances and smart features have all been updated.
**Software:** Every staff member greets you warmly. I was amazed that, besides my dedicated butler, several other staff members remembered my name when I encountered them. Without me even mentioning it, staff members noticed when I bumped my foot or got mosquito bites and proactively offered assistance, calling for medical help or bringing mosquito repellent and anti-itch cream. Services like breakfast delivery, refreshments, and turn-down service were all meticulously executed. The butler was available 24/7 and responded instantly.
**Food:** The food was excellent. It's best described as creative cuisine using local ingredients, completely changing my previous impression that Indonesian food was unappetizing. Whether it was breakfast, afternoon tea, or dinner, almost everything I ordered was delicious, and many dishes were truly spectacular. You really can't go wrong here. It truly lives up to its Michelin reputation, and the prices are very reasonable.
