The "Indonesia arrival card" refers to the unified digital declaration—officially named the All Indonesia Arrival Card.
In the past, visitors filled out a paper customs slip on the plane, followed later by separate digital links for the electronic customs declaration (e-CD) and health tracking forms. These forms are now combined into one online application. When you fill out the single form online, the platform checks three mandatory areas at once:
- Immigration Travel Record: Matches your passport and visit details.
- Customs Declaration (e-CD / Form BC 2.2): Details your luggage contents, items brought for business, and monetary value.
- Health & Quarantine Statement: Incorporates health tracking previously handled by the SATUSEHAT Health Pass.
Who Needs to Fill Out the Indonesia Arrival Card? (Exemptions Included)
Mandatory Users
The digital declaration is required for all international passengers crossing into Indonesian territory:
- Foreign tourists, digital nomads, and short-term business travelers.
- KITAS / KITAP (long-term residence permit) holders.
- Indonesian citizens returning home from abroad.
- Families & Minors: Every traveler needs to be declared. However, one adult head of household can list up to 4 family members under a single group declaration.
Exemptions
- Direct International Transit: If your connecting flight arrives at an airport like Jakarta (CGK) or Denpasar (DPS) and you stay within the international transit lounge without passing through Indonesian passport control or re-checking luggage, you do not need to fill out the form.
Indonesia Arrival - Document Requirements & Customs Rules
Gather these details before opening the online portal:
1. Travel & Identity Authorizations
- Valid Passport: Must have at least 6 months of validity remaining beyond your arrival date.
- Entry Visa or e-VOA: Most nationalities require a Visa on Arrival (VOA) or an electronic Visa on Arrival (e-VOA) applied for online via
evisa.imigrasi.go.id.The standard tourist e-VOA costs 500,000 IDR (~$31 USD). - Bali Tourist Levy (Bali Only): If flying directly into Bali (DPS), you must pay a separate local tourist fee of 150,000 IDR (~$9 USD) per entry. This is completely separate from the free nationwide arrival card.
2. Customs Declarations & Financial Limits
- Currency Limit: Carrying cash or financial instruments totaling 100,000,000 IDR (~$6,200 USD) or more requires mandatory declaration.
- Duty-Free Exemption: Personal belongings up to $500 USD (~8,000,000 IDR) per individual are duty-free. Goods worth more than $500 USD brought for commercial use or remaining in Indonesia must be declared and taxed at the customs exit.
- Alcohol & Tobacco Limits: Adults (21+) are strictly limited to 1 liter of alcohol and 200 cigarettes (or 25 cigars). Excess alcohol will be seized and destroyed without an option to pay extra duty.
- IMEI Registration (Phones): If you plan to stay in Indonesia for more than 90 days and wish to use a physical local SIM card in a phone bought outside Indonesia, you must register the phone's IMEI number within the arrival card platform. Phones valued under $500 USD are exempt from import duty taxes upon registration.

How to Fill Out the Indonesia Arrival Card Online
Use the official government site (allindonesia.imigrasi.go.id) on your mobile browser or laptop.
1.Access the Portal:Open only official government links.
Go to allindonesia.imigrasi.go.id. Select Foreign Visitor. Avoid third-party websites asking for payment—the official declaration is 100% FREE ($0 USD / 0 IDR).
2.Enter Passport & Flight Data:Double-check against your passport.
Type your full name exactly as shown in your passport's machine-readable zone. Provide your flight number, date of entry, and intended address (hotel name or villa address).
3.Answer Customs & Health Declarations:Complete health and baggage items.
Answer the health tracking questions regarding recent symptom history and international travel within the past 21 days. Complete the baggage section by declaring any high-value items, commercial samples, or agricultural products.
4.Save Your Confirmation QR Code:Download image file.
Submit the declaration. A unique summary page containing a generated QR code will appear. Take a screenshot and save the image file directly to your phone's photo library.
Step-by-Step Arrival Process at Indonesian Airports

When your flight lands at major international gateways such as Jakarta (CGK) or Bali (DPS), follow this terminal walkthrough:

- Immigration Screening: Walk toward Passport Control. - Green or Red Channel Exit: If you declared nothing special and your QR scan clears, walk out through the Green Channel. If you declared commercial goods, extra currency, or are selected for random screening, follow the officer's directions to the Red Channel X-ray scanners.
When Should You Fill Out the Indonesia Arrival Card?
- Submission Window: The online form accepts submissions starting 72 hours (3 days) before your scheduled arrival date in Indonesia.
- Recommended Timing: Complete the form 24 to 48 hours before your flight departs. Do not wait until you land in Indonesia, as airport terminal Wi-Fi connections can be slow or congested during peak arrival hours.
Indonesia Arrival Card Tips and Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Avoid Paid Scams: The arrival card is completely free. If a site asks for a credit card to "process" your arrival card, you are on a fake or third-party reseller website. Check the URL—it should end in
.go.id. - Save an Offline Screenshot: Airport cellular and Wi-Fi networks in immigration halls can drop. Always take a screenshot of your generated QR code before boarding your flight so you can display it offline.
- Declare All Agricultural & Food Products: Carrying fresh fruit, meats, plant seeds, or animal products without declaring them violates biosecurity rules, leading to immediate confiscation and fines.
- Match Passport Details Exactly: Ensure there are no typos in your passport number or birth date on the application. A single incorrect character will prevent the airport scanner from retrieving your declaration.

We booked a family room with one bed through Trip, and it was cheaper than the identical room with two beds, even though both room types were the same price on the hotel's website. I messaged the hotel support on WhatsApp asking to change the room type, and they changed it without any issues. Before check-in, they sent an email about the option for online check-in, allowing us to upload passport scans beforehand to avoid waiting at the reception. The check-in process was quick. Upon arrival, we immediately received our room cards and a complimentary welcome drink for everyone. The pool area is fantastic; the kids loved the slides, and we all participated in the contests organized by the animators. The location is perfect, situated between Beachwalk shopping mall and Waterbom Waterpark, with the beach just across the road. The breakfasts were good, with plenty of fruits and sweets. They even had milk porridge every other day, which my son happily ate. Housekeeping cleaned daily and replaced towels. The only downsides were the very narrow balconies, only suitable for drying clothes, and the difficulty in finding sun loungers, especially four together for the whole family. Facilities: There are many swimming pools with clean water. There's also a beach pool, a favorite for kids, and a small private beach – not ideal for swimming, but perfect for a quick dip.
Breakfast: It's decent, enough to fill you up.
Surroundings: There's a construction site nearby, but it's not noisy, just a slight obstruction to the view.

On the very first day of our stay, my husband got severe food poisoning after breakfast. We couldn't pinpoint the exact food, but it might have been the eggs (omelet). The sea doesn't match the photos on the hotel's page; in reality, you can't really swim in it. In the bay, the water only reaches an adult's waist at most, even up to the buoys, and there's a lot of seaweed in the water. Anyone who dislikes algae at the bottom and in the water will be very uncomfortable. If you want to swim, you'll need to go to other beaches towards the southern part of the island. The hotel is very conveniently located – close to the beach and a promenade. It's quite busy, but no one bothers anyone. In 5 minutes, you're in the city, with shops, a pharmacy, and currency exchange nearby. There are plenty of cafes to suit all tastes. The breakfast at the hotel is good enough. The hotel is no longer new, and they try to maintain it, BUT some of the power outlets didn't work, and some were broken. The room cleanliness upon check-in was about a 4 out of 5. The shower had no issues with water, the air conditioning worked, and the bed and mattress were fine. The room had good soundproofing. In the evenings, there were always some programs or performances. I didn't particularly enjoy the 'Balinese dinner' – everything was very spicy. I understand it's Asia, but they should consider guests' taste preferences. On the other hand, everything at breakfast was fine. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and genuinely service-minded. They were also happy to recommend places and things to do around the area, which we really appreciated.
Unfortunately, there were several issues that significantly affected our stay. During the daytime, there was some burning happening around the nearby rice field, and the smell came directly into our room. It became uncomfortable enough that we had to leave the hotel for a few hours and only came back in the evening.
The biggest problem, however, was the air conditioning. In the middle of the night, the room became extremely cold even though we had not intended to make it that cold. We were surprised to find the air conditioner running at 17°C with the fan at maximum speed. We had to wake up several times to adjust the temperature, and because of this we could not sleep properly until early morning.
The Wi-Fi was also very poor. Once our phones connected to the hotel Wi-Fi, the internet was practically unusable, so we eventually had to disconnect and use our own roaming mobile data instead.
Overall, the staff and service were good, but the air conditioning and internet problems seriously affected the comfort of our stay. If these two issues were fixed, the experience would be much better.FromAU$32

One small detail I really appreciated was the TV having YouTube Premium, which was great for relaxing in the room.

Pros: This hotel truly values its members, I was directly upgraded to an Executive Suite. Two butlers escorted me to my room, and they even remembered my name. I highly recommend the pancakes and pork chop rice at the Clay Craft restaurant; they were absolutely delicious.

Been here for 3 nights for our honeymoon. the staffs were incredibly nice. we are Bali people but we did not get or feel any discrimination at all, they treat us the same as foreigners. they have natural hot spring water pool, it was hot honestly, so we did not go very often. but they have ocean view pool and garden view pool which much cooler. The food was great!! All breakfast food we had never failed to satisfy us. Best of the best was the romantic dinner my husband prepared for me which is great!! The sunset was absolutely stunning! I spent nearly two hours mesmerized by it at the private beach's sunset bar. The live music was so relaxing, making it the perfect spot to simply unwind and indulge in the luxury of doing nothing. The staff were all incredibly kind and friendly. They offered a complimentary shuttle service, taking me wherever I wanted to go and picking me up afterwards. As a solo traveler, I was initially a bit apprehensive since I didn't encounter any other Japanese guests. However, when the popular local warung (eatery) I wanted to visit was closed, they kindly took me back the next day. Also, when the hotel spa was fully booked and I mentioned wanting to try a local spa, they drove me there with the shuttle and even offered to take me to another place if it was also full. The breakfast area was lovely; I enjoyed watching the sunrise from the second floor early in the morning. Even the staff at the local beachside eateries were friendly, making it a very comfortable place to be. The location is excellent! All the famous restaurants and cafes in Seminyak are within walking distance. A taxi from the airport to the hotel takes about 30 minutes, and there's a convenience store right across the street.

Overall, my 3-day, 2-night stay at Quest was pleasant. On the first day, I stayed in a superior pool view room, which was clean, the bathroom was clean, and the food was delicious. Nothing was disappointing. However, when I moved to the Executive Suite room, only the bathroom was a letdown. The drain in the bathtub was clogged, and the water wouldn't go down when I pressed it. One of the sink drains in the bathroom was also clogged, so water kept pooling in the sink. The bathroom smelled bad, and there was a cockroach. Other than that, everything else was fine. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning was cold, the TV channels were good, and the in-room internet was also good. The view from the pool is very beautiful. Overall, the hotel's location is good, but you have to leave the hotel either through a narrow street or some overgrown paths, which doesn't seem very safe. There's a large supermarket and a currency exchange about 10 minutes away. There are many warungs, but we're not big fans of them. The breakfast is so-so, but maybe we're just picky; for the price, it's quite good. The room is spacious, but there's a noise like a refrigerator motor running. A fantastic hotel on the eastern part of the island.
It is more suitable for a quiet family vacation and for those who prefer beach relaxation over surfing and parties. It is located quite far from the center of the island's main activity. The hotel has excellent infrastructure. The room was large, spacious, clean, and had everything needed. The breakfasts were excellent and very varied. The hotel staff is wonderful and very friendly. I would especially like to highlight the bartender Dede, who was very courteous and helped me repeatedly in planning my activities in Bali. The hotel has a private beach and various pools to suit any taste. I definitely recommend this wonderful hotel.FromAU$138

We had a wonderful stay at Andaz Bali. The resort is beautiful, peaceful, and very well maintained, with a great balance of modern comfort and Balinese character.
We stayed in the lagoon access suite, which was definitely a highlight of the trip. Having direct access from our terrace into the lagoon was fantastic, and being able to swim all the way to the main pool made the experience feel really special. The suite itself was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed.
The staff were consistently warm, friendly, and attentive. Alacarte buffet breakfast offered a great variety of local and international options and hand crafted juices and smoothies. Everything we tried throughout our stay was excellent.
Overall, Andaz Bali is a fantastic resort for a relaxing getaway. The combination of the beautiful grounds, excellent service, and the lagoon access suite made for a memorable stay. One of the best, if not the best in Sanur. We'd happily return.FromAU$400

Pros: The pools are big enough for a relaxed and spacious swim. There's an ice cream cafe, and the place is clean. The staff are friendly, and the room has all the essentials: tea, coffee, and water replenished daily.
Cons: Breakfasts are mostly Asian, and they often try to pass off old food as fresh, especially the potatoes and cherry tomatoes. Very few fruits; only watermelon and papaya for the whole week. Absolutely no variety. A huge downside is the noise! If your room is near the elevator, expect constant banging and humming. You can also clearly hear conversations and other noises from the neighboring room.
There's a cafe called 2 Roots nearby; it's delicious, I recommend it.FromAU$68
