  • Name and Code: Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport, code CKG, is located in Yubei District and is the city’s only commercial airport.
  • Distance from Downtown: 20-25 kilometers. So, it is a roughly 30-40-minute journey by car in light traffic conditions.
  • Terminals Today: International flights now use the Chongqing Airport Terminal called T3. It has two parts. T3A is the main building. It has all check-in, security, immigration and international flights. T3B is a large satellite concourse connected to T3A via a quick, automated train ride for gates J, K, L and M.
  • The Most Common Mistake: Avoid guessing or assuming your terminal or gate. International flights and domestic carriers are split across distinct zones. So double-check your airline ticket before heading out or arriving for a departure.

It's definitely worth a visit. The scenery is spectacular, the facilities are complete, and the environment is comfortable. The Longshuixia Gorge in the scenic area is equally stunning. Many people miss it due to time constraints, but it's still worth going, and there are fewer people. The only downside is the glass viewing platform; it's an extra 40 yuan, but the scenery there is the same.

Exceeded expectations! As a Wyndham brand, the quality is definitely reassuring. The room features a minimalist modern design and was spotlessly clean. The bedding was exceptionally comfortable with a mattress of just the right firmness—after a long day out, coming back to lie down and instantly relax was the best ~~ I have to give a special shoutout to the breakfast! The Chinese and Western buffet selection is extremely rich, complete with Chinese congee, steamed buns, and stir-fried dishes, plus freshly boiled Chongqing noodles where you can add your own toppings. The first-floor café has a very cozy vibe, making it a lovely spot to sit down and rest. The coffee I ordered looked great and tasted fantastic~~~ The location is super convenient, right across from Ziwei Road—perfect for grabbing a drink or browsing small boutiques in the evening. It's not far from Guanyinqiao and close to the subway station. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Chongqing~~~

This was a really great value for money experience. The location is super convenient; it's easy to catch a taxi to the airport or any of the attractions quickly. There are also many local and authentic snack restaurants near the hotel. The service and attitude were excellent, and the mint water in the lobby was delicious! Breakfast was also very tasty, and even buying it separately, it was still worth the price. The only minor drawback was that the air conditioning felt a bit old and the airflow was a little weak, but overall, it was fantastic!

Room had a stunning night view, hotel is grand in both scale and splendour - the minute you walk in it smells wonderful and the size of the lobby is impressive. The staff are very friendly and quick to help - they will let you know all details relevant to your stay and any questions you have will be answered quickly. The rooms are clean and well furnished, we stayed in the deluxe suite which had a fantastic view, and a massive bathroom with shower, bath and washing machine. We also had a kitchen with dishwasher, stove and fridge freezer although we did not use those. The bed was a king size and very comfortable. The air conditioning was very confusing though - even with labels at door we couldn’t figure out how to make it hotter instead of colder and unfortunately the bathroom started to smell at nights and the smells seemed to be coming up the drains, closing the door helped. Othrr than that, the stay was perfect and because of the room we stayed in we got executive benefits which included breakfast, high tea, welcome snacks and access to the executive lounge with complimentary snacks and drinks.

This time, to visit Chongqing with my son, choosing the JW Marriott was absolutely the right decision. From the geographic location to the hotel environment and service, everything was top-notch. I want to especially thank all the staff at the Concierge Department. One night, I came back intoxicated, and several colleagues from the concierge department personally escorted me back to my room. This hotel's concierge service is undoubtedly the best I've ever encountered and definitely deserves recognition from the hotel management. Every day, come rain or shine, they are outside, greeting guests with a smile, making everyone feel right at home. It's truly exceptional! Additionally, the front desk and housekeeping services are also first-class. I've even written positive comments with pictures.

Location: Situated inside Chongqing's landmark 'Grand Sail' building, directly above Raffles City and with direct metro access. Within walking distance to Chaotianmen, Hongyadong, Jiefangbei, and the pier. There are three hotels in the 'Sail' building: InterContinental Raffles City, Hotel Indigo, and Ascott. Ascott is wholly owned by CapitaLand, the developer of Raffles City, so its quality is undoubtedly top-notch. Facilities: Positioned as a serviced apartment, the public areas are compact yet comfortable and practical. The lobby offers complimentary tea and fresh flowers. A significant portion of the public space is dedicated to guests. The gym is well-equipped with at least two treadmills, ellipticals, and bikes, as well as a full set of resistance machines. There's also a yoga room with river views, comparable to a small commercial gym. It provides hot/cold water, sanitizing wipes, towels, and even headphones with sterilized covers. The swimming pool was closed during our two-day stay, so we hope to check it out next time. Below the hotel is Raffles City's urban garden, leading directly to a river-view platform – a peaceful oasis amidst the bustle. Room: We were fortunate to be upgraded to a two-bedroom suite, so spacious it was astounding. It features two bedrooms and two bathrooms, with a bathtub in the master. It includes a washer and dryer, perfect for families. The kitchen is fully equipped with a built-in microwave, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, and range hood. A complete set of dishes and cookware is provided. The facilities are excellently maintained; the microwave and oven looked almost unused. The room offers a pillow menu and abundant storage space. Due to its unique location, Ascott's rooms offer either unbeatable river views, stunning city views, or like ours, views of both. Service: Special thanks to Miss Genny at the front desk, who was incredibly patient during our check-in, attentively asked about our needs, and efficiently arranged our room. We arrived early, intending only to store our luggage, but to our surprise, we received our room key immediately. We are very grateful. All hotel staff were exceptionally proactive, friendly, and helpful – carrying luggage, greeting us upon sight, making us feel right at home. The staff member on the ground floor was also wonderful, assisting with getting in and out of cars/moving luggage and patiently giving directions. Overall, a very satisfying stay.

Don't book in advance, don't book in advance, don't book in advance! The room's location and overall value for money are great, especially for those staying in Guanyinqiao and Jiefangbei during the National Day holiday – they're truly brave souls. However, there's a big problem: I booked this room much earlier for 680, but by the time National Day arrived, the price had dropped to 480. Unfortunately, it was already past the refund deadline. I've encountered similar situations before, but this one seems quite significant. I might stay here again in the future, but it's definitely best not to book in advance.

My overall experience at Chongqing Yaqi Hotel (Jiefangbei Qixinggang Branch) was outstanding. The service was excellent; the front desk staff were friendly and efficient, and they responded promptly to my WeChat messages. They even returned an item I left behind after check-out, which was a thoughtful touch. As for the facilities, my river-view room had floor-to-ceiling windows directly facing the Yangtze River, complete with smart lighting and a scenic bathtub. The rooftop infinity pool offered clean water and a stunning city skyline backdrop – perfect for photos. The laundry room and complimentary parking were also very convenient. While the food wasn't a lavish feast, the authentic Chongqing noodles for breakfast were delicious. Paired with the clay pot dishes and the time-honored pea and minced pork noodles available nearby, it truly captured the vibrant street food culture of Chongqing. The hotel offers a quiet retreat in a bustling area, with direct subway access. It's an excellent choice for a stay in the city center that balances design and comfort.

This hotel is located right across from Bayi Square and is also close to the subway. Stepping out, you're on Bayi Road Food Street, where you can find all sorts of local specialty snacks. The staff were very warm and attentive. When we arrived, they immediately offered us refreshing lemon and plum juice from the hotel's self-service, which was incredibly crisp and tasty. Housekeeping was prompt; they even helped us with laundry while we were out exploring. Food delivery riders can bring orders directly to your room. Honestly, if it's not too hot, a short walk will get you to a ton of great food options. You can easily walk to Jiefangbei and Hongyadong from here, and to get to Liziba, you can take Line 2. Across the street from the hotel, you get a great mountain view, and you can even spot the Golden Eagle. I highly recommend this place for anyone who loves food and exploring!

The hotel's location is excellent. It's less than a ten-minute walk to Jiefangbei and the northern station of the Yangtze River Cableway. If you don't mind walking, you can reach Hongyadong, Chaotianmen Pier, Shibati, and the walking trails within half an hour. However, you should think twice about taking a taxi to these places as traffic can be very heavy. The hotel entrance is quite small, likely due to limited space. As soon as the car arrived, the bellboy promptly helped with the luggage, which was a great touch. Check-in and check-out were both quick, and the service was warm and polite. The room layout was very well-designed; the kids loved the large sofa bed, and the windows were grand. Having two toilets and two bathrooms was very practical. The desk was the most comfortable and convenient I've encountered in a hotel recently. The bedding in the master bedroom was also very comfortable, ensuring a sound sleep. The breakfast tasted good, but the variety was a bit limited.

A huge shout-out to Autumn at the front desk! My stay here was fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed staying at this property.  Everyone was so nice and kind.  The service was top- notch.  The amenities were plenty and easy accessible.   A few extras that made everything worth it were the full- sized refrigerator, with freezer, the washing machine (for which they provided soap as well), dish washer, stove top, towel drier ( in the washroom) and full sized closet.  The view was so beautiful and calming as well.   Everything about this room was just so nice and exactly what I needed.     I didn’t realize how perfect the location was in relation to almost everything that I wanted to see.   When I figured that out, I just got up every day and walked to everything that I needed or wanted to see.   It was extremely close to a lot of restaurants, malls, local shops and smaller attractions.  I was less than a 10 -15 minute walk to Raffles City Shopping Center where there is a 5 story mall, Movie theatre, roof top attraction with the swing,  SKY WALK and also the river front park with amazing views.  Same distance for Hongyadong, the viewing platform, the Qiansemen Bridge- if you wanted to walk across the bridge at night- I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!  There is so much to see and experience between the hotel and these attractions.  Your days will be filled with fun and adventure.    If ever I have the opportunity to come back to the city, I will very excited to repeat this experience.

Definitely not recommended on WARM DAYS because the hotel will turn off AC completely. I stayed at this hotel from 5/8 to 5/11, In-room HVAC only worked on daytime when outdoor temperature reached about 30 degrees, in room temperature was cooling down and comfortable enough. However, the hotel shut down AC system at night because outdoor temperature is not hot enough, that leading to in room temperature went back to 27 degrees, I got totally sleepless. Understood the hotel tried to save money on electricity, but AC system is the one of basic amenity systems and should not shut down the mostly of the days. Moldy grout, moldy caulking are all around the shower, the picture attached. Non adjustable shower head with fixed holder need upgraded. That shows lack of the maintenance for rooms. If you like quiet places, August at South Hot Spring is a great choice! We left after work on Friday and arrived quite late. There's an underground garage, and you can also park on the surface, right at the lobby entrance. Front desk staffer Xiao Zhang provided excellent service, promptly helping us with any issues. 👍 Our room had a private hot spring, and we chose a king-size bed room. The overall room size was a bit smaller than I expected, but it had all the amenities. I personally felt the bedding was a bit damp, and the room was stuffy when we first entered. The air conditioning worked well, though it was quite loud, as it's a bit old. The room also came stocked with potato chips, instant coffee, tea bags, soda, and mineral water, and they thoughtfully provided mosquito repellent. There were helpful notices posted in various places in the bathroom, showing good attention to detail. Aside from a few too-few outlets and the room being small and compact, I think it's still quite good.

Jinfo Mountain Resort Chongqing|78.16km from city centre
Every year, I make sure to visit Jinfo Mountain, and each time I stay at Tianxing Liangjiang. Previously, I mostly stayed in their family rooms, but this time, after the renovation, I opted for a deluxe standard room. Let's start with the positives: it offers great value for money. Post-renovation, the rooms feel more modern and incorporate some smart features. The twin beds are large enough, making it ideal for families with two children. Right outside, there's a shallow stream, which is incredibly convenient for kids to play in the water and then easily come back to the room to change and shower. Dining options are also plentiful, and it's very close to the West Slope cable car. Now for the downsides, which are new issues that have emerged since the renovation. One thing is absolutely unbearable: did the designers ever stay in a hotel with their family? The motion sensor light at the entrance turns on every time someone walks by. At night, whether an adult or child needs to use the restroom, it inevitably lights up. This type of sensor light is only suitable for someone staying alone, but this is a holiday resort area where most visitors are families. It seriously disrupts sleep. Another issue is the shower/toilet partition being too small. While it makes the space appear larger, it's extremely awkward for family travel like ours. The shower and toilet are only separated from the main room by a glass door, so you can't even dare to turn on the lights. The shower stall itself is tiny; you can't hang clothes inside. If you put them outside and open the door, anyone in the room can see right in. It's ridiculous! When getting dressed after a shower, you have to open the glass door just a crack, sneak a hand out like a thief, quickly grab the clothes from the chair, and bring them in to get dressed. These two points significantly detract from the overall stay experience.

Got a room upgrade upon arrival. Stayed in Room 2001 this time. Location & Surroundings: The hotel is super close to Paradise Walk—less than a 5-minute walk downstairs. I’d recommend taking a taxi here, as it's a bit of a walk from the light rail station. However, this also means it's sheltered from the main shopping crowds, offering a peaceful retreat in the heart of the bustling area. Facilities: The facilities are better maintained than most hotels built around the same time. That said, typical of international chain hotels from that era, the TV only has digital channels; you'll need a cable to cast your own content. The bedding was exceptionally comfortable, and I slept really well throughout my stay. Cleanliness: The bathroom facilities are well-kept and spotless. The water pressure for both the shower and the bathtub was fantastic. Service: Great attitude, well-organized staff, and they were always prompt and attentive to every request. Overall: If you don't rely on public transit and are looking for great shopping and dining options nearby, this hotel offers fantastic value for money compared to other hotels in its class or even Huazhu-affiliated properties in the area.

Five-star review! The hotel location is unbeatable, right near Jiefangbei. It's super convenient for walking to nearby attractions and finding local food, and the room offers a fantastic river view with a wide field of vision. The room is clean, tidy, and very comfortable to stay in. The hotel also features a self-service laundry room with dryers, which is a lifesaver—you can wash your travel clothes right away instead of lugging a bunch of dirty laundry around. A special shout-out to the front desk staff: our return trip was quite late, and after a friendly chat, they gladly arranged a late check-out for us. The service is incredibly thoughtful and accommodating. A 10/10 overall experience! This will be my go-to hotel in Chongqing, and I'll definitely stay here again next time!

The hotel is in a great location, close to everything! Chopsticks Building, Hongyadong, Arhat Temple, Jiefangbei, and Park 108 are all within walking distance, with some attractions right across from the hotel. The room is clean and nice, and the staff are really friendly, especially Staff No. 3. Although there was a language barrier, communication was not a problem at all. The staff always tried their best to help us and used translation tools to communicate with us, which we really appreciated. They even upgraded our room free of charge because they wanted us to enjoy a great city view, which was so thoughtful! The breakfast is good, especially the soy milk. The orange cat is also super cute, hahaha! Overall, I highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel service was excellent throughout, but due to the rain in Chongqing, the room felt quite damp. When I reported this, the duty manager Jackie immediately arranged a new room for me. They even had a colleague help dry out the entire new room, which was a pleasant surprise. Thank you!

This hotel was a great choice for bringing my child to Chongqing to see their idol! I specifically picked this one right next to Yangtze International, and the location was incredibly convenient. It was just a few steps downstairs to Yangtze International, so my child could go there every day, take photos in front of the building, and was absolutely thrilled. The room was clean and spacious, very quiet and comfortable, and we slept wonderfully at night. There were plenty of dining options and amenities nearby, with convenience stores and snack stalls right downstairs. Transportation was also easy. This trip was mainly about fulfilling my child's dream, and staying here made hitting all the spots super easy. The child had a blast, and it was stress-free for the adults. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Chongqing! 👍

The hotel has an unbeatable location, right next to the Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street on one side and the Yangtze River Tunnel on the other, with plenty of amazing food options all around. The Westin offers great service, a comfortable ambiance, and nice room facilities. The breakfast has a wide variety and tastes quite good. However, the Executive Lounge afternoon tea is a bit disappointing—the cakes aren't great and there's no freshly squeezed juice. The observation deck on the 54th floor is quite small, resembling an infinity pool (swimming not allowed), and is mainly used for taking photos. Going up there at night to enjoy the view is pretty nice.

When planning this trip to Chongqing, I agonized over choosing a hotel for ages, constantly torn between Regent, TFT, and Niccolo. Regent has always had a great reputation for service, and TFT was quite appealing too, but in the end, I decided I preferred the views at Niccolo, so I booked it. It turned out to be the right choice—I was quite satisfied with the overall experience. Actually, having stayed at several Niccolo hotels before, my relationship with the brand is a bit of a love-hate one. The Suzhou Niccolo, in particular, was quite a disappointment. The service was fine—the staff were all very nice—but the interior design and materials used really didn't live up to the price tag. The guest room corridors, especially, gave me the impression of a budget hotel; the lighting and overall ambiance were quite oppressive, completely lacking the texture and feel you'd expect from a luxury hotel. The breakfast was also just so-so, leaving no memorable impression. However, Niccolo Chongqing is a massive step up from Suzhou. First of all, the views are genuinely fantastic. Chongqing's urban landscape is so unique with its skyscrapers, river views, and multi-layered architecture, which looks stunning from up high. A huge part of why I choose high-rise hotels like this is just to take in the scenery from the room, especially at night. Sitting back and watching the city lights outside is just so relaxing. So in terms of the view, it certainly didn't disappoint. The service was solid overall; the staff were courteous and pleasant to communicate with. Of course, it wasn't completely flawless—there was a small hiccup during the stay, but the hotel handled it quite professionally, and I was fine with it. The more you stay at hotels, the more you realize that hiccups can happen anywhere. I'm not overly fussed about that; what I care more about is how the hotel handles issues when they arise. At least this time, Niccolo Chongqing gave me a good impression without any brush-offs or perfunctory attitudes. The breakfast was also better than expected. Niccolo Chongqing offers a semi-buffet. The space isn't huge, and when I first walked in, I thought it looked a bit cramped and worried there wouldn't be much to eat. But I ended up being quite pleased. The selection was richer than I imagined, the food quality was good, and the Eggs Benedict were spot-on in both taste and quality. The freshly squeezed juices were also delicious. Personally, I've always felt that hotel breakfast doesn't need to blindly chase variety. Many hotels have massive breakfast areas piled high with food, but very few items actually taste good. Even though Niccolo Chongqing's space is small, it has all the essentials, and they're well-executed. I really liked that. One more thing: after staying at so many Niccolos, I'm increasingly convinced that with this brand, you really need to book a suite. I've stayed in standard rooms and N3 rooms before, and honestly, the difference in experience is quite noticeable. Standard rooms aren't bad, but considering the price and the brand's positioning, they always feel like they're missing that certain something. Suites, on the other hand, instantly elevate the comfort level and give you that proper luxury hotel experience. So my verdict on Niccolo is pretty simple: the service is mostly good, but the hardware really depends heavily on the specific property and room type. The Chongqing branch is one of the better ones I've stayed at; at least this time, the views, the breakfast, and the overall service left me thoroughly satisfied. If I visit Chongqing again in the future, I'll likely consider Niccolo again, but I'll almost certainly go for a suite. Seriously, having tried the standard rooms, N3, and the suites, I can only say that suites are definitely the way to experience Niccolo properly.

At Regent Chongqing, I truly understood the meaning of understated and warm luxury. The Neo-Chinese design blends seamlessly with the culture of the mountain city, creating an elegant and tranquil space. A glance out the window reveals the confluence of the two rivers, and as night falls, the dazzling lights of Hongya Cave stretch across the river surface, offering a panoramic view of the city's brilliant nightscape. What touched me most wasn't just the stunning river view, but the impeccable service—enthusiastic yet never intrusive, thoughtful down to the smallest detail, and uniquely warm without feeling cliché. The space is filled with the lingering fragrance of Frédéric Malle, framed by the breathtaking mountain city view waiting right outside the bathtub. The mini-bar is replenished daily with local specialty snacks and drinks, and daily laundry service comes with a thoughtful greeting. Because of all this, I think I’ve fallen in love with Chongqing, and I've fallen in love with the Regent! Unfortunately, during my two-night stay, the Two Rivers Bar was fully booked for private events both nights. After much consideration, I decided to stay an extra night just to enjoy the evening river breeze at the Two Rivers Bar, accompanied by classic jazz, washing away the fatigue of the entire day. Thanks to the Regent, this trip to the mountain city holds an extra layer of unforgettable, gentle memories.

Xiao Yang's service was incredibly thoughtful and attentive. During check-in, he meticulously explained all the scenic spots within the park and even reminded us about the significant temperature difference between day and night on the mountain. The hotel is located right inside Fairy Mountain Forest Park, and your room card grants direct access to the vast grassland. The Red Maple Stone Forest boasts a fascinating array of oddly shaped rocks, while the Zhuoya Lawn is 넓고 and inviting. The shuttle bus is available on demand, and strolling along the forest trails allows for an immersive experience of the refreshing tranquility of the mountains and wilderness.

This hotel in Jiefangbei is a true travel gem! Found it on Doubao (haha), and the location is absolutely fantastic. It's within walking distance to Jiefangbei and Bayi Delicious Street, and not far from Hongyadong and Raffles City either. The room was meticulously cleaned, no strange odors, and the mattress and pillows were very comfortable, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The soundproofing was excellent; I could sleep soundly even in the bustling city center. The bathroom had a wet and dry separation, all toiletries were provided, and the hot water supply was strong. The front desk staff were enthusiastic and efficient with check-in, patiently answering all my questions. Overall, the value for money is great. It's definitely worth staying here when visiting Chongqing, and I'll be back next time!

An absolutely fantastic stay! I highly recommend the Vienna Hotel (Southwest University of Political Science and Law Branch). Service: The front desk staff were incredibly warm and professional. Check-in was quick, and they answered all my questions, making me feel right at home. Environment: The hotel facilities are very new and spotless. The room was exceptionally clean, and the bedding was comfortable, leading to a great night's sleep. Convenience: The biggest highlight is having all sorts of restaurants and a supermarket right downstairs – no need to worry about food or shopping. It's also super friendly for those catching a flight; getting to the airport is very convenient, saving both time and effort.
