Arrived quite late, but staff were there to guide me from the car and help with luggage. KK at the front desk processed my check-in quickly and smoothly. I had plans for the next day, so KK kindly arranged a quieter room for me, which I really appreciated. 🙏🏻 The room was refreshingly cool upon entering, as the air conditioning had already been turned on. The bedding was also very comfortable, leading to a pleasant night's sleep. The hotel features many traditional Chinese paintings of flowers and birds, and upon closer inspection, each one is unique – clearly a lot of effort went into them. Since I arrived late, I didn't book breakfast, but I heard it's served until 12 PM, so I'll definitely try it next time. Overall, it's highly recommended.

The best hotels in Wenchang are Hilton and Wyndham, and I've had a good stay at Wyndham before. This time I chose Hilton because it's close to the beach. Concierge: Good, there was someone to meet us. Lobby: Grand, but it would be better if the air conditioning were colder; Hainan Island has been too hot this year. Room: We had a themed room. I suggest using rooms with better views for themed rooms in the future, as the view from our themed room was just average compared to a standard room. Pool: Clean and hygienic. You need to register to use it, and the lifeguards are very dedicated, not slacking off at all. They were constantly moving around, watching the children in the water. Breakfast: Tasted good. Environment: Lots of aerospace models and popular science articles, which creates a great atmosphere. It's very close to the beach, and you can see the launchpad when you look out.

Pros: + close to Haikou Meilan Airport + free shuttle bus to the airport (booking needed) + free laundry amenities + hotel breakfast (at Orange Hotel next door) + helpful staff who do try their best to work with what they have Cons: - severely understaffed (only 1 person working at the counter, no bellhops) so check-in was slow in large groups - ageing facilities - sad gym area that doubles as sauna from the heat - in-hotel restaurant and cafe was closed - no aircon in lobby and most spaces - greenhouse effect from glass and heat made everywhere stuffy during daytime - dusty aircon in room, needs servicing protip: as it is scorching in Haikou, please request an extra aircon card from them when you check-in, so you can keep the aircon working to cool the room while you are away. you get what you paid for, but it works!

This is a decent, standard airport hotel, very close to the airport. They offer a shuttle bus every half hour, though you can actually walk to the terminal. There's also an outlet mall next door for shopping and dining. The facilities are relatively new and have all the necessary amenities. Most of the staff are dedicated and helpful, though a very small number had slightly poor attitudes, which I can understand if they were on a night shift. Special thanks to the housekeeping staff, who were very warm, hospitable, and went out of their way to help guests, even providing a charging cable to a guest next door, which wasn't even part of her job. There was a faint lingering smell of smoke in the room when I entered, but that's not the hotel's fault; it's due to a previous guest violating the no-smoking policy.

The breakfast had a great variety, and I left feeling very satisfied. The room had an amazing view, and the TV supported screen mirroring, which was super convenient for watching shows. The environment was flawless, with sea views and lush greenery, making for a very relaxing stay. The service was also top-notch, and overall, it was a great experience. I would definitely consider staying here again! 🌅 🌅

Whenever I travel for work, I always stay at the Sofitel. The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, right in the city center. The service is also excellent, and I particularly want to highlight how meticulous the housekeeping staff are. They clean every nook and cranny of the room so thoroughly, and they even helped me tidy up my clothes. It was a truly delightful experience. Hygiene: The room hygiene was incredibly detailed. Service: The housekeeping staff were very polite and delivered requests promptly.

Five-star rating for Pullman Sanya Bay! Our stay here was absolutely fantastic, and I especially want to highlight the amazing in-house photography service. The room had an incredible view with a 180° ocean-view balcony; we could literally gaze at the turquoise sea from bed. In the evening, watching the orange sunset was incredibly atmospheric. The room itself was clean and tidy, and the bedding was so soft, ensuring a very restful sleep. The hotel also has a private pathway directly to the beach, which is super convenient as you don't have to cross any roads. The garden, coconut groves, infinity pool, and patio swing chairs are all perfect spots for stunning photos. We pre-booked the photo shoot, and the photographer was an expert on all the best shooting locations within the hotel. They patiently guided our poses, adjusted the lighting, and were incredibly gentle throughout, never rushing us. There was absolutely no pressure to purchase extra photos, and the original shots were already excellent quality. The retouched photos are definitely going to be the highlight of my vacation on social media. The staff were attentive and detailed in their service, and the breakfast selection was extensive. The pool and children's facilities were all excellent. This hotel truly offers a one-stop solution for relaxation, vacation, and photo opportunities. I'll definitely choose this place again when I visit Sanya next time. Highly recommended!

Not great value for money, and the overall experience was pretty mediocre. The fact that the island was reclaimed from the sea, and the various buildings on it, are quite astonishing, but it's a real shame how many areas are neglected and falling into disuse. With over 5,000 rooms, the hotel had a high occupancy rate during the holiday, making the lobby feel like a chaotic market, packed with people and incredibly noisy. There were significant delays for check-in, and breakfast was practically a free-for-all, with extremely poor food quality. Room cleanliness was terrible; there were scratches all over the walls, and the bed runner was damaged and still had dried food crumbs from the previous guest on it – makes you wonder how long it hadn't been washed. The room itself was tiny, and when I asked for an extra pillow, I was told they didn't have any. We were a family of one adult and two children, both around six years old, but were told we had to purchase an additional child's breakfast, as two small children couldn't count as one adult. For nearly 600 RMB a night, with nothing included, it really wasn't worth it.

We had a truly wonderful 3-night stay at Park Plaza (LiTing), Wenchang, Hainan. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was warm and professional, making us feel immediately welcome and well taken care of. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with thoughtful amenities that made our stay relaxing and enjoyable. We especially appreciated the comfortable bed and the quiet environment, which allowed us to rest well after our daily outings. The hotel facilities were well-maintained, and everything was conveniently arranged. The location is also a great advantage—peaceful yet accessible, making it easy for us to explore Wenchang without hassle. What truly stood out was the excellent service from the staff. They were always friendly, attentive, and ready to assist with any request, which made a big difference to our overall experience. Overall, we are very happy with our stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Wenchang. We would definitely return again in the future!

GGuest UserI booked a villa in the Welcome Hotel's villa area, which came with two 1.5-meter beds and a private pool. The pool was about 1.3 meters deep and 10 meters wide, exclusively for our use. The room was spacious, and my kids absolutely loved the private pool. During our stay, we also had free access to the Welcome Hotel's amenities. Upon arrival, our butler, Lucy, added us on WeChat. We could reach out to her for any needs. She was incredibly polite, and her WeChat responses were always prompt. Anything we needed that she could arrange, she went above and beyond to help us with. A big thank you to her! A short path led directly to the beach at Yalong Bay. We couldn't go out to sea that day due to strong winds, but the kids had a blast playing by the waves on the shore. During our three-day, two-night stay, I experienced breakfast in both the villa area and the main hotel. The hotel area featured a large aquarium, and dining next to it allowed us to watch the fish while we ate. The hotel's public pool facilities weren't extensive, but they offered enough fun, including basketball and water volleyball equipment, plus a small children's play area.

GGuest UserOur stay at Wanda Realm during this Sanya trip far exceeded our expectations! The hotel is situated in a prime location in Haitang Bay, just a few minutes' walk from the pristine white sand beach, and the ocean views are absolutely stunning. We booked a sea-view room, and the scenery was fantastic, plus the room was spotless. The breakfast spread was also very generous. Our butler, Linna, provided exceptional service as well. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our stay.

GGuest UserHaving experienced the InterContinental Sanya Haitang Bay, and considering our itinerary, I decided to try the InterContinental Sanya Haitang Bay. The day before our check-in, Kaylee from guest relations proactively contacted me to confirm the details and made thoughtful arrangements for us. 👍 On the day of our check-in, it was pouring rain in Haitang Bay. We were stuck with our luggage in the duty-free shop, watching the rain show no signs of stopping. I contacted Kaylee to ask if the hotel could send someone to pick us up. Kaylee informed me that the hotel didn't have vehicles that could go to the duty-free shop. However, the hotel staff later sent umbrellas for us, helped us move our luggage to the hotel's side entrance, and then the hotel shuttle took us to the lobby. 👍 The hotel lobby is much larger than the InterContinental Sanya Dadonghai, and the overall scale feels comparable to the Westin Wanning/Lingshui. The room was spacious, bright, and comfortable. The fruit was delicious, and the room was equipped with Baishui Mountain mineral water, with Pure Enjoyment still water for refills. During our stay, whenever I contacted Kaylee, she responded immediately and acted quickly, even when she was off duty, which was impressive! So nice! 👍 Before coming, I learned that the hotel has a large fish tank with many fish, including sea turtles and manta rays. So, I took my child to the viewing tunnel on B2. My child was deeply fascinated by the fish, especially when they saw a giant grouper. My child blurted out, ”Look, fish 2.0!” I was puzzled, and my child explained it was like ”oil tanker 2.0,” with a bunch of smaller fish (like planes) following it. 🤭 We also saw a mermaid show. However, due to the distance of the performance area and limited visibility at the bottom of the tank, we could only see silhouettes. Fortunately, there were pictures of the mermaid show on the tunnel wall, which allowed me to explain it to my child in detail. The entire tunnel wall was covered with科普资料 (scientific information) about various fish, allowing for both viewing and learning. 👍 The tunnel also had multiple observation windows, so you could find your best viewing angle. 👍 The hotel boasts a vast lawn. Looking out, the skyline, the ocean, the greenery, and the lawn were truly refreshing. 👍 The waves in Haitang Bay are indeed strong and powerful, far exceeding those in Wanning and Lingshui. The beach quality is much better than Yalong Bay. We even encountered crabs during the day. 🤗 The breakfast restaurant was spacious, with ample seating. Even during peak hours, we didn't see guests waiting in line. The breakfast spread was rich, and they even offered specialty Xinglong coffee. The lobby staff were enthusiastic and all smiles. Seeing us with our luggage, they proactively helped us move it. 👍 Big kudos again to Kaylee from guest relations! 👍 And kudos to the hotel for its excellent service! 👍

GGuest UserThe Mangrove Tree Resort is actually a great hotel. The location is good, the beach is nice, the views are stunning, and the service is also commendable. There are plenty of restaurants, and while the rooms feel a bit dated, it adds to a retro charm. It offers excellent value for money. We upgraded to a sea-view junior suite from our original package, and the moment we walked in, we were blown away by the ocean view. All our requests were met promptly, and the cleanliness was also very good. There are lots of activities for families too; we joined the beach crab hunting and were thrilled to catch two! If I had to pick a flaw, it would be the hotel's photography service. The photos themselves were good, but the photographer seemed a bit upset and had a bad attitude when I was decisive about deleting some pictures during the selection process. It kind of dampened my mood for a moment. Otherwise, everything else was fantastic, and I had a very enjoyable holiday here.

LLirongzhaozhaoOur family of three (with a three-year-old) stayed for five days and four nights, and we pretty much spent all our time at the hotel or nearby. It's just a few minutes' walk to the beach, and overall, it was excellent! 👍 You really have to experience it yourself to know how good it is. A big thanks to Sunny for her attentiveness; even during the busy May Day holiday, her replies were quick, and our requests were handled promptly and efficiently! 🏨 **Facilities**: It has a sort of vintage, old-money vibe – spacious, which I really liked. No issues with our stay, and the duvet wasn't too thick! It was just right for sleeping with the AC on at night; adults weren't cold, and the child wasn't hot! Plus, when we asked for a bed rail, the housekeeping staff literally knocked on our door right after we finished speaking. They installed it incredibly fast, without any fuss, and were gone in a flash – unbelievably quick! 🧹 **Cleanliness**: The entire hotel was spotless and refreshing, and room cleaning was very efficient! Sometimes we only needed the trash taken out and nothing else, and a quick word to Sunny was all it took – everything was perfectly arranged. 🌴 **Environment**: It's got a kind of retro American garden aesthetic, definitely a resort feel! The public areas are large and beautiful, and the night view is stunning. The big lawn is absolutely amazing (yyds)! All three pools are lovely, and the children's pool is truly excellent 🛝. The hotel has so many picturesque spots for photos; it felt like we could get all those trending Sanya photo ops right here at the hotel! The value of hotels on Haitang Bay is definitely on the rise. 🍳 **Dining**: Breakfast was very rich, with slight variations each day. The kids' section had plenty of options too, with a dedicated area for babies, as well as large round tables and multi-person tables, perfect for big families. The Western restaurant by the pool was also great and delicious. Ordering takeout was convenient and delivered quickly; we just had to pick it up at the entrance, which I thought was fine, like a little walk 🚶. 🏋️ **Gym**: Very good! It's located near the children's adventure playground. Most of the equipment had usage tutorials, making them simple and easy to operate. Our family of three tried out all the equipment, and the child had even more fun than going out! 👶 **Kids' Club**: The area for younger children is a bit small, but still enough to play in. More toys would be even better. There's another larger one for kids aged 5 and up, which costs extra. Kids can even experience riding horses 🐎 and ostriches right here at the hotel – can you believe it? 📷 Because we had our child with us, we usually only visited one attraction per day and always came back to the hotel for an afternoon nap. We spent a lot of time at the hotel and never felt bored. Even during May Day, it wasn't overly crowded, very orderly, and quiet. There were so many things to do at the hotel: swimming, walking, watching small animals, enjoying the sea, digging in the sand, afternoon tea, playing in the kids' club, riding the mini train, collecting shells, and more. In short, we were all very satisfied, had a very pleasant holiday, and it was excellent value for money 👍. We will definitely come again next time! 🥳

GGuest UserHygiene: The bath towels and hand towels were individually wrapped, completely easing any hygiene concerns. Environment: The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area. Downstairs is a park with excellent greenery, and the surrounding area is very convenient. Service: The staff were warm and thoughtful. They helped us upgrade our room type and were very responsive to all our requests. The robot delivery for items was also very quick. Oh, and the washing machine and dryer are fantastic for travelers – Atour really thinks of all the customer's needs. The pillows were the most comfortable out of the four hotels I stayed at on this trip; I even ordered some when I got back!

AAnonymous UserThe only highlight of this hotel is the incredible view from the lobby, which directly overlooks the sea. As for the rooms, they aren't very new and the soundproofing is poor. Every morning around 7 or 8, even before I was fully awake, I'd hear guests dragging their luggage loudly outside and doors slamming shut intermittently, making it impossible to get back to sleep. The service, however, was decent. Now, I really need to rant about the complimentary photoshoot offered by the hotel; it was absolutely terrible. 1. **Photographer's attitude was subpar.** * He clearly just wanted to finish quickly and get off work. During the shoot, he initially said I could suggest any poses or locations. But when I actually proposed where I wanted to shoot, he kept dismissing my ideas, saying certain spots weren't good or wouldn't work. * After a few shots, I asked to see how they looked. He immediately got annoyed. I just wanted to check if there was anything I needed to adjust for subsequent photos. Was that really such a big deal? * After seeing the photos, I felt my styling wasn't quite right; I wanted to pull my hat down a bit more. Essentially, I wasn't happy with the first few shots. He then adopted a 'if you're so good, you do it' attitude, saying things like, 'Okay, so what do *you* think looks good? You pose, and I'll shoot.' It felt incredibly impatient, like 'either you know how to pose yourself or you listen to me.' I simply wanted to adjust my look and retake the photos. Even though it was free, if the service attitude is like this, they should just assign someone else. Getting impatient after just a few shots is really frustrating. I quickly ended the session because I was genuinely unhappy. What's the point of such an attitude when their skill is mediocre? Oh well, it's free, what more can you expect? 2. **Upselling within the studio.** They take your photos for retouching, and then during the selection process, they show you the retouched versions. The retouched photos cost money and are quite expensive. The staff there actively pushes you to choose the retouched ones and pay for them. If you only want the free unedited photos, they look terrible. Firstly, the photography skills are just average, and secondly, the camera settings weren't adjusted well. It feels deliberate, as if they intentionally make the initial photos look bad to entice you to buy the retouched versions later. It's a real scam. If you have high standards for photos but don't want to spend too much, be very cautious. The free ones definitely won't look good. 3. **Photographer's attitude varied wildly.** He was clearly impatient with me, but I saw him shooting with other people, and he was all smiles and full of positive energy. Is it because my photoshoot was complimentary from the hotel? If they're so unwilling to serve these types of guests, then they shouldn't offer it in the first place. Speechless. **Image 1** shows the sea view from the hotel lobby. **Image 2** is one of the original photos from the complimentary shoot, and you can see the lighting and filters make it look dark and unattractive. Can't they even adjust basic settings on a Fujifilm camera to make it look decent? **Image 3** is a photo I took myself, and it's better than the photographer's, and I haven't even edited it. The difference in effort is clear. Again, what more can you expect from something free? Be careful if you choose this!

CChuqiuyangguangWhat truly sets Banyan Tree Sanya apart is its unparalleled privacy. Each standalone villa is enveloped by lush greenery, creating a natural barrier, and features its own private pool and courtyard plunge pool, offering an exclusive and tranquil space. We had a dedicated 24-hour butler, Zheng Delin, who was incredibly responsive to all our needs. For our anniversary, he even arranged a complimentary room setup, which was a lovely touch and added to the special occasion. The resort boasts a secluded private bay, with hardly any outside visitors. The sunsets over the ocean in the evening were romantic and therapeutic, and the happy hour at the beach bar created a fantastic atmosphere. Every room is equipped with Banyan Tree's signature aromatherapy toiletries, and upon check-in, we received a special welcome gift and fresh fruit. The floating afternoon tea experience was exceptional. The resort's buggies are available for pick-up and drop-off at any time, ensuring a smooth and uncrowded experience. It's truly a luxurious choice for couples on their honeymoon or anyone looking for a relaxing escape, far from the hustle and bustle of crowds.

DDor2017From the moment we stepped out of the car, we felt the genuine hospitality. The doorman at the entrance enthusiastically helped open the car door and assisted with our luggage; the service was excellent. They were exceptionally professional and thoughtful. Last year, I stayed in a room above the 35th floor, which was also great. This time, I traveled with family and chose a 108-square-meter apartment, which came fully equipped with a washing machine and dryer. The guest relations staff, especially the ladies, were attentive, responsible, and meticulous. They promptly responded to all our requests, were friendly and polite, and demonstrated excellent professionalism. Overall, our stay was very comfortable and pleasant.
