We spent 2 nights at the lodge recently and had a wonderful time. I was expecting it to be loud and a bit dirty since it was summer and it is such a great family destination. However - it was very clean and not at all noisy. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had breakfast and dinner in the dining room twice - and that too surpassed our exceptions. The wait staff were very friendly and efficient - and the food was very good. We took the early morning boat trip - based on lodge recommendation - and were rewarded by seeing many alligators, turtles and birds - and even manatee. We will definitely return!

Chose this hotel over best western. Not much in the area. Hotel staff was friendly and the lobby had a huge area of tables Very comfortable The room was nice and bathroom was large with the best smelling soaps and amenities TV had some issues which hotel staff came to room to fix. I wish hotels would do away with any and all carpeting in the rooms as they are impossible to keep clean There was a hot breakfast buffet

We have been staying at this hotel monthly for about 3 months now and each time we go, we see improvements. It appears they have an owner or manager that actually cares about their guests! The first time we stayed, we had a couple of small complaints and when we filled out the survey as such, we received a reply back. When we went the next month, improvements had been made and again the next. Really want to support this business as they are making notable effort to be a great hotel.
