From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Alison and Dave the owners. They were helpful with their knowledge of Chester and provided great recommendations. The guest house exudes charm and elegance, with tastefully decorated rooms that are both cozy and comfortable. The location couldn't be better, situated within walking distance of Chester's main attractions and surrounded by picturesque streets. The attention to detail and personalized service truly made our stay memorable. We can't wait to return to Grosvenor Place Guest House on our next visit to Chester. Highly recommended for a delightful and relaxing getaway!”

We arrived a little earlier than planned, but we received a very warm welcome which included assistance with parking our car in one of the two car parks available. We were shown to our room which was clean, spacious with an amazing bathroom. There were also some nice touches in the room such as toiletries and water. The place is perfectly located for a short walk to a street full of shops, pubs and places to eat, but also a straightforward walk into Chester itself. For those who don’t fancy the walk, there’s a bus stop nearby. Breakfast in the morning was busy, but well organised. The very pleasant staff make sure you are attended too and aren’t kept waiting any longer than necessary to have your cooked breakfast. The quality of the food was excellent and we enjoyed the atmosphere with the tables being close together and the opportunity to chat with other guests. We will be returning at the earliest opportunity as we visit friends in Chester regularly. Just a couple of observations from me….the toaster is one of those contraptions that sends the bread through on a conveyor belt type of thing….often resulting in warm bread, or if you put it through again, burnt!! The tables are adorned with a lovely selection of jars containing sauces, honey and preserves, but your salt & pepper is in little sachets!! A nice set of salt & pepper pots would be more in keeping with the setting.

What an absolutely lovely place to stop. We stopped overnight at the Saddle Inn as a family while visiting Chester, everything about it was superb and I wouldn't hesitate to stop there again. Breaking it down, we are a family of four, two teenage children. We stopped in the 'Megadeth' room, its on the top floor, so quiet, and unlike most family rooms at other hotels has two full size single beds, as well as a double, and a bathroom, so no 'top and tailing' on a pokey sofa bed. The room was great, we aren't massively into rock, but it was great with quirky personal touches like drums being used as bed side tables etc. Basically a perfect family room for teenage kids. It was a Saturday, and Chester races were on in the city so very busy, we decided to eat in the bar and the food was absolutely brilliant, and at a great price, the burgers are at the point where you need a knife and fork to attack them as they won't fit in your mouth! 10/10. We then went out to the theatre so didn't get back until late, there was a live band on at the pub, a AC/DC tribute band, so not quiet! Children aren't allowed in the bar at night, but you can get a beer and take it up to your room. You could kind of vaguely hear that live music was playing, but in no way does it disturb your stop, and once the live music finished and it went back the jukebox you cant hear a thing. Finally breakfast the next day was delicious and real value for money! The staff and friendliness really make this place, why give your money to a plain boring corporate chain when there is stuff like this out there! Thanks for a great weekend and you should be proud of what you've build up!

The hotel is located in the center of STOCKTON HEATH, and there are 3 supermarkets within 2mins. The landlord PAUL's breakfast was really made with heart and super delicious. The room is simple, the view outside the top window is first-class, and the overall price is very high.
