Turpan Hostels

As at August 2022, there is daily mucelic acid testing in the park next to the hotel, from 08:20-11:00. Using the Xinjiang health code, I was able to get tested there (as a foreigner) and the results showed up on the app. So, I didn't need to go into a hospital. The hotel is also a short walk away from the museum and a main street with a lot of restaurants that seemed to be popular. Taxis regularly passed in front of the hotel (Didi took a while, in my experience). My room was wide and bright, including the toilet and shower. In fact, the entire hotel feels wide - the lobby, breakfast room, the carpark. The staff were all helpful, even with my poor Chinese and their limited English. The breakfast selection was fair, and everyone seemed to enjoy the food.

Great location and excellent service by the front desk lady and our rooms have been kept really clean everyday by housekeeping lady on 10th floor. Breakfast was ok, could be better if the cooked food was less oily and salty. Coffee machine at the restaurant didn’t work half of the time. Apart from that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. One of the best we’ve stayed at this price range in China. Keep it up. Highly recommended.

When I first set foot in DAP Hostel in Turpan, it was with the intention of a two-night stay. Fast forward two weeks later, I was still there, completely captivated by its charm and the unforgettable people I met. Named after a traditional Xinjiang instrument, this hostel doesn’t just offer beds; it provides experiences. The design is impeccable, and it’s clear there’s a deep respect for detail and the environment. But the real magic? It’s in the people. The hostel owner, the volunteers, and every fellow traveler I encountered - they transformed my trip. From acquaintances to close friends in such a short span, it was incredible. Their open-mindedness, their stories, and the warmth they exuded were infectious. I’m thrilled to say that many of those I met at the DAP Hostel are now close friends. The anticipation of reuniting with them is immense. If you ever find yourself in Turpan, and you crave genuine connections, DAP Hostel is the place. It’s more than accommodation; it’s a family waiting to be discovered.

Worth recommending! ! ! ! We drove from Duku Highway, passed Kuche and arrived in Turpan. We booked this hotel. The service was super good, the facilities were complete, the parking lot at the door was super large, there was also a restaurant, and there were many places to eat around the hotel. Special thanks to Adila, Da Gulibanu, Xiao Gulibanu, **Cheng, and Tangnur at the front desk for their enthusiastic help and smiling service throughout the whole process. its a big hotel for tour groups. it also has many individual chalets in the shape of wine barrel with grapes planted on it. highlight of the hotel is wine, they carry their own brands, good quality, at about 200 per bottle. We bought a dozen for consumption rest of our XJ tour. the hotel has an underground wine celler that is 3km long. As its new, the place is clean and well decorated. worth the 20rmb ticket.

Easily one of the top two or three guesthouse experiences I’ve had traveling China over the past decade. While it’s certainly on the higher end of the price spectrum, you definitely get what you pay for and more. The level of detail is immaculate: given how hot and dry Turpan is, they give you as much bottled water you need & leave hydrating facial masks in your room every day. Also, shoutout to the beds—one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept on in China—and Japanese toilet. The facilitates and service touches are on par with the best luxury hotel brands which probably go for twice the price or more. But ultimately the people and location are what make this place special. Everyone from the owner to the cleaning staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I ran into the owner at a restaurant and he bought me dinner and introduced me to some local dishes I would have never known to order. The location is 🍇 valley. It’s a quaint little grape producing village with friendly locals and amazing fruit. All in all, Bafeng Retreat is a special place that is perfect if you’re looking for somewhere to unwind and take life slowly. Highly recommended.

The hotel is in a good location, easy to find on the main road, with a parking lot, convenient parking. The room is spacious and has new facilities. The room is clean and sanitary. The bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, and the sink meets hotel standards. The bedding is also very good, and the sleep is very comfortable. The hotel has a washing machine for washing clothes, and the cost performance is very high. I stayed there for a few days while playing in Turpan. The Xinjiang girl at the hotel front desk was warm and polite, and the check-in experience was very good!

Facilities: Two double beds. The layout is a bit like a one-bedroom and one-living room suite. It is still very spacious and has a terrace. The decoration style has a sense of design and ethnic characteristics. It is very comfortable and does not make people feel cheap or cumbersome. The air conditioner is also relatively powerful. It's actually not too hot at night, so we turned off the air conditioner. There is no elevator on the third floor. If you have a lot of luggage, you can ask the little brother to help you carry it. Environment: On Grape Folk Street, near Grape Valley, surrounded by B&Bs and with a vineyard in the backyard, the child picked grapes as he wished and was very happy. Hygiene: The overall cleaning is relatively clean. You can pay more attention to the underside of the bed. Service: The little brother's service is good, but I can't afford the room card, so I ran to the third floor to change it.

Facilities: The hardware in the room is very complete, and the drinking water is Evian brand. I also like the toiletries. The big bed room is 2 meters. I like the sofas the most. They are comfortable. There is a hot spring in the room, which the children like very much. There is also a balcony. Because the temperature in Turpan is high, the washed clothes will be completely dry in less than half a day. The scenery outside the balcony is unobstructed! Hygiene: The room is clean, tidy, comfortable and bright. The aunt cleans it very clean every day! Environment: The homestay is managed by a group, a big management, sharing swimming pools and catering, and can share resources. It is a good management model. 👍 Service: The young lady and the young man at the front desk are polite, enthusiastic, and very beautiful. The young man is also very active in helping with luggage. The homestay has sand therapy and grape picking. We really like it! This time, our family came to Xinjiang for the third time. Among the homestays we stayed in during the southern Xinjiang tour, this one has the best value for money. 👍 If I have the opportunity to go again, I will definitely choose it again
