My sister and I stayed in this hostel for 3 nights during our stay to Nagoya. The location is amazing. Right off Osu Shopping Street, this hostel is easy to navigate to and has a lot of shopping and dining options right at our door step. The lobby is nice and warm and the staff are very friendly- they walk you up to your room and inform you very well of the procedures that the hostel follows. The room is spacious and there are lamps and desks on each level of the bunk bed. There are ample electrical plugs and the ladder to the top bunk is sturdy. Downsides- complete ban on eating in the room. This is frustrating especially when you just want to bring a small snack home from the convenience stores to snack on before bed (as you can in many many other hostels). You are forced to go downstairs to the lobby to eat, but I didn’t feel like doing that at 10pm. Another downside is the comfort of the bed and pillow. The pillow is way too soft and you can barely feel any support behind your head. The bed ledges are awkward so it makes it difficult to get in and out of your bed especially on the top bunk. Although the room is very spacious (enough for luggage and changing room) the room would benefit from a few more coat hangers to hang towels after showering and a chair for the desk as to get ready in the morning. Furthermore, you have to make your own bed when you arrive which is frustrating especially if you’re tired from carrying luggage around all day which we were. I love the location and feel that although there are definitely cons, this hostel redeems itself through the pros. I’d recommend staying here if you’re young and don’t mind a very hostel-like hostel.

The location is close to Nagoya Station and the transportation is convenient. The equipment is very new, there is no elevator, and each floor needs to share the bathroom and washroom, and there is a washing machine available. The charges are cheap and it is a hotel with high CP value.

The check-in desk was well staffed when I arrived & my lack of Japanese & decent IT skills wasn’t an issue.
Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the only thing I didn’t love about the design of the dormitory was the steps to the upper bunks - they prevented wheeled bags being pushed easily past them (for unpacking & repacking). In other capsule hotels, the steps are built in to the front of the capsules, the don’t lean against them and take up floor space.
On departure day (10 am check-out), I checked out at around 9.40 and made myself a Noodle Pot to eat at one of the tables opposite the desk, before leaving for an 11.06 Shinkansen. Nobody questioned this but all of the Japanese-speaking guests who checked out after me appeared to be told that they couldn’t stay, even for a coffee - they had to go and stand outside.

A slightly unusual small inn in a downtown shopping street near Nagoya Station. Opened in April 2015. Located in Endoji Shopping Street, one of the oldest shopping streets in Nagoya, this is a slightly unusual inn that has been renovated from a coffee shop with a history of nearly 100 years and an electric shop. Although it is such an old shopping street, it is a 20-minute walk from Nagoya Station, and a 5-minute walk by subway (nearest stations: Kokusai Center Station and Marunouchi Station on the Sakuradori Line). Our inn is a small inn that was renovated from an old building, but you can feel the charm of the townscape and buildings where the old and new coexist in the middle of the city, enjoy the daily life of the city, and enjoy the long-established shops and famous shops in the shopping district. I hope you will spend your time with us. Don't forget to visit nearby attractions such as Nagoya Castle. Please enjoy your favorite way to spend your time. We have many guests from overseas, both domestic and overseas. On the first floor, you can enjoy the atmosphere, food, and drinks unique to a long-established cafe in Nagoya. It is located in the middle of Nagoya Station and Nagoya Castle and is in a very good location. The surrounding area is old town and has a taste. The staff were friendly and easy to come to even if you travel alone. I want to come again.

A cheap hotel that is divided into just sleeping. Because it is cheaper than the capsule, there is no complaint about the facilities (do not say?). When you go from the vertical thin entrance to the room as much as you think it is a single hotel closet, it feels like a narrow bed and a small TV that seems to fall when you turn around. But it was cheap so I was saved. I want to use it again when traveling alone.

The room is very clean, the bed is moderately soft and hard, the location is very close to Daxu Guanyin, it is very convenient, there is no parking lot, it is troublesome to find a parking lot if you drive, but the overall experience is still very good, the owner is also very enthusiastic, introduced us to the delicious shops nearby, it is a worthwhile trip

Kkumi LGreat for women too! (Review only for women) I went with my teen daughter just bcs we were curious about this idea. It was amazing! I hear that originally, the capsule hotels were made for drunk men who couldn’t catch the last train to go home and can’t afford the expensive taxis in japan. So I was worried about the place been full of drunk ppl but I search for a capsule hotel for women too. I love it! - The 2F is only for women and u can’t get in if you don’t have a special key so it’s pretty safe. - Everything was divided for male and female … even the eating area. - It’s also a No Smoking place. Perfect! - ALL instructions are in English (actually good translation) ;) - You can also borrow/ask for (free) extra chargers (although u have inside the capsule), iwatch charger, nail clippers, contact lense cleaner, hair iron, etc. (1F) - check in 2pm and check out 12mid day - Coin laundry (4F for women) - Locker and place to put your clothes or suitcase (5F) - Steam iron in the locker area (5F) LOCATION ***** Excelente location! Only 3 to 5min from Sakae Station. Many restaurants and things to do around the hotel. We could have stayed 3 nights there to see everything! AMENITIES ***** This place has sooo many things for the spa! You literally don’t need anything! Not even a pijama! BATH (4F for women)***** I think the male bath is different. The bath is 5 stars! It’s a great public bath for Japanese or foreigners. I particularly don’t like showering in front of people and like the privacy of my own shower. Usually Japanese public bath don’t offer this option but this hotel had 2 showers where you can clean yourself before going to the “onsen” (with only one type of shampoo, conditioner, body soap and face soap). The onsen or public bath is great! They actually have one with hot and the other one with cold water. Here you will find more than 5 brands of product to wash yourself (not like the private shower rooms). They also have a dry sauna and an AMAZING stone sauna! The sink area where you dry your hair, brush your teeth, etc is awesome! Really, no need to bring anything from home! CLEANING **** The hotel looks pretty clean. There is always a lady in the bath area making sure everything was nice and clean. BREAKFAST (11F) It says that the breakfast is included but it’s only rice with pickles, egg and soup. Do not expect the western breakfast. BUT I think this is even better! There is a big area (divided for male and female) where you can bring your own food (from a convenient store or the 1000 restaurants close by) and eat there. There is also a big area where men and women can eat. The rice and soup and all that is from 6am to 12 midnight. You can also drink whatever you want (soft drink and coffee)! THINGS I WOULD LIKE THEM TO ADD OR CHANGE - I would love if one elevator is only for women and the other only for men. - The capsule has ear plugs but the little bag where it comes in, makes so much noise. I wish they would u

GGuest UserPart of a chain of capsule hotels with branches elsewhere in Japan. If you've stayed in another 9Hours, you know what to expect, because they're identical. This one has no self-service check-in machine, but reception is efficient and friendly. It may be tempting to skip the top floor lounge, but this would be a mistake, as it's the hotel's best feature. It may also be tempting to order the add-on optional breakfast, and this would be an even worse mistake -it's hugely overpriced and very small, don't do it! They should kick out that delirious ”Glitch” Cafe and replace it with a vending machine loaded with baumkuchen and castella and that would be a massive improvement.
