Wifi can be used without problems, but some models are badly compatible with Korean WIFI. Just near downtown, no trouble with eating, shopping. Large supermarket is a bit far, walk around ３０ minutes. I recommend taking a bus from the nearest bus stop. You can come by city bus from the airport. If you don't know Korean and are worried, it's not expensive to use a taxi. Among some guest houses in Daegu, it is clean and the service is good.
