We were a group of friends going on our first post-covid vacation together. We were the first guests for the season & from the warmest welcome smile that we received, we knew that we were going to be treated well. The staff are absolutely amazing & was always at our service! The chef & team are ever ready to help us out. The chef had prepared some scrumptious mouth watering meals for us. They were also very concerned about the 2.5 year old with us & made sure that his food was prepared early. The villa itself was super gorgeous & breathtaking! The pool & the views were just amazing! There's plenty of lounging space for everyone. The place is well maintained and super clean & everything still looks brand new! We are eagerly looking forward to coming back! A huge Thank you to the staff and the management team for accommodating our requests. The pictures & the review posted here doesn't do justice, so you have to visit Villa46 and experience it ! What an amazing experience! This hotel was everything we could have wished for and more. They reserved the whole upmost floor of the hotel for our family of five (two very large suites, one with our own bathtub with a view of the sea and a huge balcony adjoining the suites and overlooking the ocean and the beautiful sunsets). The staff was so helpful, attentive and friendly that it really made us feel welcome. The hotel is small and you got to know all the other guests due to the friendly and cosy atmosphere. The breakfast that was served to the table had nice variety and the Sri Lankan breakfast was simply wonderful, so flavourful and very filling. The rooms were cleaned every day (great because of the sand that still found its way in even though our best efforts to prevent it), and they decorated our beds and sofa with fresh flowers each time. The pool was great with the kids, and the fact that you can step right out of the hotel to the beach was simply amazing. It wasn't quite the season yet so it was rather quiet and tranquil in Hikkaduwa, which suited us perfectly. We went running on the beach in the morning, and the hotel provided yoga mats so I could do my morning yoga on the beach or on the balcony. The hotel arranged our safari trip perfectly and they had auyrveda massage partner as well. They were very helpful with everything we could ask. We like to experience new restaurants and go out to dine, but this time we stayed and dined at the hotel quite a few times because the restaurant was just amazing and the service was so friendly. Everything, especially the seafood was superb and the pricing was very reasonable given the prices in Hikkaduwa in general. A warm recommendation and a big thank you for the staff who made our stay in Sri Lanka unforgettable!

Since our planned accommodation was out of the question at short notice, we found the Cozy Sea View Inn via ************ and had our tuk tuk driver drop us off there. We received a warm welcome and were able to choose one after viewing two rooms. We chose one on the ground floor with a small terrace. The room was very spacious, clean, well equipped and smelled very good. There was a fitness studio right next to our room, which can be used by hotel guests. We didn't take advantage of this, but we still thought it was a great opportunity. The manager Rajesh was very friendly and helpful. When he found out that we wanted to travel further to Unawatuna, he offered to take us with him since one of his drivers had to go that direction anyway. The location of the hotel, on a side street off the main street, was also ideal for us. The beach was within a few minutes' walk, as was a huge selection of restaurants and other shopping opportunities. We were really happy about our spontaneous stroke of luck and would love to come back.

What a place! We couldn’t be happier! Sri Lanka is just full of friendly people but the friendliest might just be the ones running this hotel. Besides the sweet staff (who threw a birthday-party and spoiled our 8 year old all day) the location of this hotel is obviously amazing. Beach, waves, surfing, snorkling, sunsets. We also loved the food and its variety. Barely went anywhere else to eat during our week in Hikkaduwa. The restaurant feels like a cozy beachlife livingroom. The room had all we wanted and needed, including good wifi. If we go back to Sri Lanka we will definitely go here again. Strongly recommend this place!

In July 2024, I spent several days in this hotel. In general, I liked everything, except for some moments. I'll start with the good: excellent location, opposite a supermarket, and nearby there are many shops and benches, a gorgeous view from the window of the ocean, decent breakfasts, a clean pool, the staff's willingness to help at any time, delicious dishes to order from the menu, well-groomed territory. What I didn’t like: the rooms are already tired, they need updating, I lived in room 513. The pool is open until 19.00, which is not at all convenient, because after dinner you also want activity... but there is none)
