Love everything about the room! Except we got a connecting room and soundproofing from the door was bad. Like that the bed faces the window so we could enjoy the view right from the comfort of the bed. Sofa is comfortable. Also love the bathroom! Gold lounge: good service. Excellent view. Strict with dress code. Evening canapes is average. Drinks, especially cocktails can be better. Breakfast was great! Lesser selection than Prego but it has the popular food which I happened to take when I went Prego. Much lesser crowd than Prego Prego breakfast: good. Do go before 8am for lesser crowd

I just don't like the bathtub only have had glass cover. When showing, all water split out, and make the floor wet. And the toilet looks so old. Except thus, everything is good.
The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore

The best about Capitol Kempinski is its convenient location - right opposite City Hall MRT and there's a sheltered path between MRT and hotel via the mall so that you don't get wet even on rainy days! The location is also so central that you can walk to many sightseeing spots from Merlion to Clarke Quay to Haji Lane. Staff were friendly - we especially appreciated Om the porter, who was very warm and helpful throughout our stay. Wonderful view from our room overlooking the St Andrew's Cathedral. Elegant and classy interior design. The Salvatore Ferragamo amenities smelt so good too! However, there were still a number of defects with this five-star luxury hotel: Both rooms we tried were very humid - our first room even had a water dripping sound every 4-5 seconds, so we could not sleep and had to request for a change of room the next morning, which the hotel arranged speedily. Our second room had no dripping sound but was equally humid - towels and swimming suits were still damp after one night. Thankfully, there was a fan in our Heritage Room, which helped dry things up a bit. Maintenance and facilities - toilet flushing was not great and shower water was not hot enough for our second room on 3/F. The TV there had no sound at first but got fixed eventually. There was no one watching the swimming pool when we visited, which could be prone to accidents even though it's only 1.2 m high. House-keeping - upon our arrival we found an open bottle of sparkling water in the fridge probably left by the previous guest, and two little tubes of conditioner (but no lotion - maybe we don't need it in a humid room, haha). This was quite unacceptable for a 5-star hotel. The higher parts of the rooms were dusty. We understand that the interior design makes it difficult to clean on a daily basis, but thorough deep-cleaning should still be carried out once in a while? Expectation management and food - we expected some sort of welcoming fruits and snacks as we filled out a survey from the hotel two days before our stay, asking about all our preferences. Disappointingly, none of our preferences got addressed during our stay. Buffet breakfast was quite tasty but not among the greatest varieties we had tried in other five-star hotels. I had the same experience with the other two hotels I have stayed in Singapore, so maybe this is still considered good enough for the city. I can imagine how beautiful this hotel was when it opened five years ago. But without proper maintenance and persistent house keeping work, its charm has diminished. Certainly a waste for a beautiful heritage cluster like this one. Still a fairly OK-nice stay overall.

The moment I stepped in the room, I’m immediately filled with the most zen feeling as the smell of peppermint is so strong and intense, which of course makes me went into complete relaxation. There’s no bug in the room and to add to it, there’s only the sound of wind ruffling with the trees, birds and insects which is why I love it even more since most of my childhood was spent living at pulau ubin. Relatable experiences just a tab more comfortable in Villa Samadhi. Besides the occasional footsteps and loud talkings when someone walks past, if not the experience will be perfect. All the staffs are nice and helpful. Breakfast can be improved with more varieties and just a note that the Nasi lemak packed in the small packet can include chicken drumsticks or wings instead of chicken shredded pieces. Nevertheless, breakfast were prepared with quality (especially the mains that u get to choose from the menu). Special thumbs up for the seafood fried rice which I had ordered for dinner! Pineapple fried rice was good too! Unsheltered free parking for guests. The room is well decorated, clean bed and bathroom, facilities aspect of the room is all in. A pity I can’t get later check out as the room has been booked for the day, if not an hour or 2 can really add to my experiences in nature. In any case, am looking forward to my upcoming visit to Samadhi again in May to celebrate my birthday! A much needed quality, quietness and peace in the nature for my next respite.
JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach

This was my second stay at the hotel, and it was just as enjoyable as the first. The room was impeccably clean with a lovely view overlooking Raffles Hotel. Check-in was seamless, and the warm welcome from the Malay Ladies added a personal touch to our arrival. Special thanks to the guest relations team, especially Kelly Chan and her team, for making my birthday celebration extra special. Room service was prompt and efficient, meeting all our needs during our stay. I also want to extend my gratitude to Joanna from housekeeping as well as the room service manager for their swift assistance. Breakfast was a highlight, with a delicious spread of high-quality dishes. I particularly enjoyed the chili crab omelette. However, while some staff, like the coffee master and the Korean/Japanese lady, were welcoming and friendly, others seemed a bit distant and less enthusiastic. This was a departure from the warm hospitality I've experienced at other hotel chains (Shangri-La or ParkRoyal Collection). Perhaps it was due to our request to sit in a brighter area of the restaurant for my daughter's comfort, but it would be nice to see consistent warmth and friendliness across all staff members. Additionally, the handling of used plates could be improved. Instead of the loud, noisy trolley method commonly found in local restaurants, a quieter, more discreet approach would enhance the dining experience. Overall, my stay was pleasant, and I appreciate the efforts of the staff who went above and beyond to make our visit memorable.
