We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights midweek .we had a family room on the 4 th floor the room was large with a super king size bed and a single bed both were very comfortable There was plenty storage space and a work desk tea and coffee provided too ! Clean bathroom with good power shower and plenty towels ! Breakfast was good standard and buffet style ! The only 2 complaints I have is the very creaky floorboards in the room and the parking was dog eat dog ! Overall we had a pleasant stay and would return again for good deal !

We stayed here for 2 nights as a family whilst my husband was working. The entrance to the hotel was lovely, a beautiful aroma in the air and very helpful staff on the reception. On entrance to the lifts, everything seemed clean and fresh. The rooms were large. We had a double and a single bed, and still had plenty room for a pram and our bags. The shower was powerful and hot which was lovely and fresh towels each day. There was a kettle with plenty tea/coffee to choose from. The beds were comfortable. There was a heating/air con remote however regardless of what we did, the room cooled at night time, waking our little one who likes to be snug as a bug. After night one, I left the room for it to be made up and although the room was cleaned - the bed was “thrown”together the way I could have done it myself. None of the covers were “tidied” under, making it like a fresh bed again for that evening which was disappointing. There were also a number of marks on the bathroom tiles and up on the ceiling which could have easily been sprayed and wiped down, I’m sure. Perhaps a little more attention to detail with certain things. There was an ice machine on our floor - didn’t work. However reception brought some up for us which was good. There is a lovely large bar area on entrance to the hotel. I was looking for somewhere to have a coffee on day 1 however was informed I could only have takeaway coffee as they didn’t open until noon. I found this a bit strange as there were a lot of business people with laptops who were instead sat on the couches outside the bar area when in fact, they could have had a comfortable seat with a coffee in the bar area. Maybe something to think about? It’s a shame as I had met up with a group of 6 of us plus our kids and we would have all ordered food and drink but instead had to make our way to Starbucks.

When I arrived in Aberdeen on Tuesday 11th April I needed somewhere to stay for one or two nights I've previously stated at this b&b before and was also recommend by another person I rung the door bell on the front door and asked if any vacancies for a room were available I was greeted by the male host no we haven't I asked any room's available later in the week no we haven't in such a Argonaut way not a great welcome into reception infront of other people staying there, I ended up buying a mobile phone in Aberdeen to find out this B&B had over 10 room's available from Wednesday onwards so I was lied to by the male host also spoken to in a horrible and nasty way and had to sleep rough in -12oc temperatures I live back in West Yorkshire I was due to travel home on Sunday 16th April via train and now find myself stuck in Aberdeen General Hospital with a infection in my face which could of been triggered off my the cold weather during the nights were I couldn't find accommodation like the OYO LOST GUEST HOUSE IN ABERDEEN saying no vacancies when I find out through buying a phone there were vacancies available quite shocking and disturbing To say I'm now stuck in hospital with no money and no way of getting home by any form of transport I live over 200 miles away and the worse part was the way the host spoke to me no we haven't any vacancies what's wrong with saying sorry we don't have any available at moment, shocking, disturbing, outrageous greetings after walking through the front door one B&B to really think about if need somewhere has friendliness is free nastiest isn't and it's cruel

The whole atmosphere was relaxing and the rooms were fantastic. Great friendly staff, great food. The beds were super comfy and those pillows were so comfy. Booked this hotel whilst on a business trip to Aberdeen and usually like the Village hotel brand. The hotel itself is a modern village style hotel. We arrived late on a Sunday evening and the first experience with a staff member on reception wasn't great and a really abrupt check in. Was allocated a room on the first floor, 123. The room itself was nicely decorated and perfectly adequate. The issue came at 5:30am the next morning when incredibly loud bangs and noises were heard in the room. I thought it coild just be another guest above me getting up, but these noises continued and got louder. Then I looked at some reviews and realised I was right above the gym and multiple guest had suffered the same misfortune. The view from the window was also nonexistent and looked out directly on a small gravel area and then another wall. Hardly a great view of Aberdeen. The same staff member was on reception leading to a very unapologetic conversation regarding changing room for my final night. Was advised to sort when I returned in the evening. Thankfully a different staff member in the evening and the room was changed to a room on the 4th floor. Thankfully there was now a view, if you take out the huge gym roof. Hoping for no noise, I settled back down but then I woke at 6am and was still about to hear pumping music and the obvious sound of a gym instructor - from the 4th floor. I did have my window open for fresh air but even so - I was 4 floors up! Maybe it's an issue for all rooms facing the gym roof, not sure if the rooms the other side might have even better? Don't think I'll stay again!

Lovely country house hotel on the southern edge of Aberdeen with easy access to city. Welcoming hotel with a very traditional feel in the main building. Bedrooms are modern and our Standard room was well equipped with a large double bed and plenty of tea coffee etc. The hotel is dog friendly for a small charge. We had lovely cooked breakfasts and continental also available. We ate breakfast in the drawing room, as dogs understandably not allowed in main restaurant. We only ate in the bar area one evening which was cosy and fast service. Friendly staff and nice touch of a Birthday platter delivered to room in recognition of a significant Birthday being celebrated.

First visit for us . 20mins wait for drinks.no steak available.potato skin starter was wrong, put back when returned they had only scraped the topping off and added the correct one and clearly reheated in a micro. One main meal didn’t arrive with others. A side of garlic bread came again heated in micro returned it and got replaced nearly after main course was finished. No Red Malbec Wine. No hurry to clear empty classes. Another table had been told that there was no pizza left! Also a table with young family when left there was food on floor and when it was set up for another 4 people the floor had not be swept. Asked to speak to the manager at end of night and he did not come near us! We had gone through to the public bar and the manager was going about there and he still did not approach us. Quality of the food was generally good but the above things I have mentioned let it down big time. Not sure if we will be back

GGuest UserStayed on 1st Oct for an overnight stay whilst visiting the P&J. The man on reception who checked us in barely spoke a word. Noticed the few couples in front getting complimentary drinks and we were not offered (oh well). Room was fine but was rather dusty, however when you pay £48 for a room I wasn’t expecting glam. Stains in the sinks & toilet, uncomfortable bed and only 1 pillow for a double bed. Once in bed realised the bedding was ripped on the underside - therefore cleaners tried to hide it. Was quite a cold sleep in the end.. Decided to grab a bite to eat down in the bar. Lady at bar forgot to put on a pizza (flavoured bread) for our table therefore one party member was left waiting an extra 25 mins when she promised “5” . Therefore we were nearly late for our show. Upon checkout again it was slow, however when checking my bank account when I had already got home, I’d been charged twice for the room even though my receipt says for 1 only. Was charged £10 for parking even though signs say £5. Was given no explanation from reception staff. Trying to contact the hotel for refund but can’t get through (not surprised). Will keep trying!! Shame because the hotel looks nice & quirky however you do get what you pay for and no more.

GGEThe small sink is so cute! !! If you catch a flight the next day, it is a good choice for classmates and parents. A 10-minute walk from the hotel to the airport is very convenient, and you can get up late in the morning. [Location] The hotel is next to Aberdeen Airport, 10 minutes away. If you enter the city, take a taxi: 01224 494949, which is about 15-20 pounds. The bus is also very convenient. It takes 727 to walk for 3 minutes, and the one-way fare is 3.5 pounds. [Health] Very clean hotel [Value for money] High value for money, newer equipment, the cheapest Courtyard hotel in the UK is 600 yuan a night (may be slightly more expensive in November, winter and summer) [wifi] Wi-Fi is free [Room size] The room size is normal, not big, but not small. Two people will not feel crowded when staying. Better than too many European Hiltons. [Parking] You can park downstairs [Service] The ladies at the front desk are so warm and tender that they can melt into their sweet smiles. When you stay in Scotland for a long time, you will have a glass heart. Because the Scottish people are too enthusiastic, London will not, and the front desk will not answer (not for the Chinese but for everyone).

Had the worse caesar salad half a salmon fillet and not alot of salad and for £19 so it's poor. The menu in these hotels are poor and very very expensive for what you are getting. I think it's lazy and boring and wanting to take alot of money off the customer for very poor and under portioned food. If it wasn't for the fact I have to stay here through my work I wouldn't. But I will be writing to my company and sending them a photo of my food to show them how much we and them are being ripped off compared to the other hotels in the Dyce area.

GGuest UserAfter a terrible coach journey from Sheffield I was welcomed by Steve after midnight. My breakfast order was taken and I was shown to my single room No5 on the ground floor. The room was small with single bed, hanging space, draws, hairdryer, kettle & tv. The bed was very comfortable and the curtains blocked out the light. I was woken by a rattling room door. I shoved a chair against it to stop it. I heard no road noise. The shared loo & shower room was shabby but the shower was powerful hot & clean. I had clean towels everyday. Breakfast was lovely but basic (no baked beans or sausage) cheese omelet was delicious. I had fresh orange and coffee. Steve was lovely and friendly and chatted every morning. I bought a weekly bus pass and explored Aberdeen all week from this great base and will return. With a little TLC to replace light bulbs & rusty radiators i would have given 5 stars. All in all a lovely traditional B&B

This was a return visit within the week for an event as we so enjoyed first stay (rm15) . But we returned to (rm2) and we quite disappointed by a few things, so here we go. After a short time in getting ready to go out , we found the shower valves very loose on the wall ,but all still worked ok . Then no tiolet tissue/paper in the room , which was a bit frustrating as thought that would have been essential for arrival. Then having to go back up and out to front desk to request a supply of some sort . Staff were helpful and helped us out regards . On using the room door realised it would not close as there was a malfunctioning cover plate hanging off stopping door from closing , not wanting to return to front desk we just had to use the entry card to close the door properly bit of innovation needed. At one point later there are 2 very distinct black scuff marks on the cieling which could do with a cover up/paint . The next morning looking forward to having use to the coffee facilities we use before and good to have now was out of order / empty, complementary fruit bowl rather empty also and what left looking it had been there for way too long. On the whole from both visits could not have been more different. But will say the staff were very helpful in all issues so thanks to them , well done . Will we return , not sure.

GGuest UserMy friends and I have just returned from this hotel which was chosen by Caledonian Travel as the destination of our mystery tour. The photos advertising the hotel bear no resemblance to the reality. To say it is rundown would be a complete understatement. It is a tip and should not be allowed to operate. There are far superior hostels! The smell of dampness is pervasive, the views from our rooms were of a derelict area and I fully expected rats to be running around, the rooms are not clean, nothing has been updated for decades, the food is mediocre at best...the list goes on. After an hour in the dining room, we were asked to vacate our seats because there were so many other guests. A woman on our trip went to reception to say that, before they had arrived, the hot tap had been left on in their room and had flooded the bedroom floor. She was told that there was no other room available and nobody could help her: she was given towels to mop it up. Furthermore, unless you take a taxi the 4 miles into Aberdeen, there is nothing else to do but sit in this dire place. We went to a nearby pub where the atmosphere felt threatening so we left. We later heard that the barman in the Britannia had warned someone else about going there. On a positive note, the staff were lovely and had to deal with lots of complaints but, I'm afraid, they had no solutions. I have stayed in many, many hotels but have never experienced anything quite like the Britannia. Avoid!!!
