3-Star Hotels in Addis Ababa

The place is ok for a night or two, especially if you are on a layover. It's conveniently located in Bole close to the airport and to some restaurants and bars. Complementary airport shuttle 24/7. Breakfast is available but limited. The rooms are ok. They are clean but desperately need renovation. In my room, the floor was full of scratches and the color was coming off, the furniture was old and partly broken, the curtains had holes, bedsheets and towels were almost falling apart. Still, for a night it was ok if you don't have high expectations and cleanliness matters more to you. What I didn't like was that I booked a suite room (Genius upgrade from booking.com) but upon my arrival I was given a standard room. The reception didn't inform me about that, I just noticed when I entered the room. When I asked about it, they told me that the room was not available because someone had Covid and couldn't check out. However, the hotel has several suite rooms (and when I checked the night before for a friend, there were still suites bookable). So it seems they just didn't want to give me the room upgrade... I also asked them before my arrival to check about an event that was supposed to happen in a nearby hotel the night of my arrival, but they never did.

Good staff and friendly , clean rooms , the food they provide is excellent you can try enjery felefel they make it soo good , if you have any problem in the hotel you can talk directly to the admin he will happy to solve this problem. Enjoy in the hotel .

This run down place does not even deserve a single star. I paid for 7 nights and left the hotel after 1 single night not even asking for a refund! The dirtiest, most derelict hotel i've ever been to in Addis Ababa. I almost electrocuted myself when i tried to take a bath. I opened the water taps and water started bursting from every hole and the floor was flooded in a few seconds. Closed the taps when i realized the water had already inundated the bedroom. Tried to get out the tab and DANGER realized that a plugged electricity socket was literally at floor level and water almost reached it ! I waited for the water to drain, throw 2 towels on the floor and jump out of the bathroom stepping on those dry towels. I left the hotel immediately and even thought of calling the police. The hotel is a big scam.

After staying for a day, I decided to stay with three meals a day! The hotel’s Chinese breakfast is good, and the rooms are clean. There is only one Chinese hotel in Ethiopia! There is also Cantonese morning tea!

Addis is not the easiest city to navigate so your hotel needs to be an oasis. This is not a luxury hotel but a perfectly serviceable hotel you will come to appreciate. The rooms are decent size and beds comfortable. Television shows a coupld of English channels. The breakfast includes a vareity of fresh fruits and vegetables and hot dishes mostly Indian and Middle Eastern. We found a couple of the staff to be particularly helpful. Note that the hotel lists itself as being on Mickey Leland St. but it is set off from there. The Leland name appears to be newish so cab drivers sometimes have trouble finding it--there's a local app for cabs that is helpful. There are many restaurants surrounding this hotel and several ice cream/gelato spots. We happened to stay in three different rooms--higher is better--but the design of the bathroom plumbing connects the shower through an under-fllor pipe with a cleanout valve. In some rooms there is a smell from that arrangement. There also does not appear to be heating and cooling in the rooms-surprisingly that wasn't a problem. Overall, a reasonably priced good choice.

My stay at the Wudasie Castle Hotel has been amazing!!! When I first walked into the doors of the hotel, I was greeted and welcomed by staff! After paying for the cost of my stay, I was handed the keys to my room. When I entered my room, It felt like I was home! The colors of the room and decor brings a warm feeling that brings comfortability and peace! Everything was clean, sanitized, and organized. The bed was so comfortable that I almost wanted to skip out on my planned activities just to lay down and relax in it! The highlight of my stay was experiencing Christmas with the staff. I’m from America and Christmas was on December 25th. I was invited down to the lobby to enjoy some Ethiopian traditions with staff. I got to experience a “coffee break,” where everyone drank coffee, ate bread and popcorn. The bread was so fluffy and moist that it almost feels like you’re chewing on some clouds or pillows lol. That’s how good it was!!! It was my first time having coffee ever and I must say it was amazing! Although, I am not coffee drinker, when I’m at Wudasie Castle Hotel, I will be drinking the coffee!! Last but not least, I recommend Wudasie Castle Hotel to anyone looking to stay in a comfortable hotel that reminds them of home. The prices are great if you are someone not trying to break the bank. It comes with delicious breakfast every morning as well! If you get hungry during the day, It is located near lots of food restaurants/spots to eat! Customer Service was a 20/10!! From the moment I walked in until I left, Staff always were welcoming, respectful, and as the people in your home would, treat you like family. They will help you out with anything you need! I never knew a hotel could make you feel like you’re home!!
