Fairmont Mara Safari Club

Pros: location is excellent, very nice amenities, food is very good, and game drives with Moseka were also good (despite not finding a male lion). I was injured during this trip and the nurse Betty took great care while redressing my wounds. All staff were very polite. The property itself is beautiful. Wake up service and morning coffee delivery was a very nice personal touch. View of mara river and hippos grunting away will never be forgotten. Cons: disorganised staff - they didn't know we were on our honeymoon trip despite telling them in advance. Phone did not work in the room and our room was in the far wing of the property. There were a lot of staff at the property who mentioned that they are assigned to us specifically but then we had to rely on the other staff. During checkout, they couldn't figure out we had prepaid in advance. They booked hot air balloon for us on the day of checkout only to then later rush us to pack in hurry when they could have simply told us to keep our luggage ready a day in advance.

The stay was enchanting. Our room overlooked the Mara River, allowing us to watch the hippos bathe daily. The staff was invariably friendly and smiling. Rose, our waiter, was perpetually cheerful. Caleb, in housekeeping, delighted us with charming notes. Moseka, our safari guide, impressed us with his extensive knowledge and knack for finding incredible spots. Nancy, the hotel manager, made it a point to check on us daily, ensuring our satisfaction. In summary, the experience was exceptional, and I am eager to return. My gratitude to Fairmont for their exceptional service!

An absolutely beautiful place to end our safari through Kenya. The location is incredible with views of the hippos on the Mara River, and the conservancy is large enough that we truly felt that we had the place to ourselves on our game drives. The tents are more luxurious than many hotels - we didn't want to leave! The food was excellent, and the service was incredible - Herman and Adan took great care of us at the lodge, and Dominick and Nicholas were excellent guides on our game drives. Highly recommended!

Loved the accommodation. I was able to view some hippos just below my tent. Mr Julius always made sure everything is perfect in our room. Our food was good and even special food was made for us as per our dietary recommendation. Would love to visit it again

Amazing location, excellent service - one of my best travelling experiences. All the staff was incredibly kind and professional, specially Alex in the restaurant, Lenkoko as our guide/ranger and Caleb in our room service - I highly recommend this hotel

We stayed for four nights. The tent was clean and spacious, with modern amenities such as warm shower and indoor bathroom. A staff member cleaned our tent several times a day, making sure that we were well stocked with water and clean towels. Each day we went for a morning game drive at 6:30, and an afternoon one at 3:30. Each drive was an adventure, as we never knew ahead of time what animals we would see. With our fantastic guide, Henry, we saw the big five and a lot more. The meals are included on the premise. Our servers, Alex and Mary, were very attentive and accommodating. All the staff members were very polite and friendly. Overall, we had a wonderful experience.

We spent three unforgettable days at the Fairmont Masai Mara Lodge in Kenya, and it was an experience of a lifetime. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the warmest smiles and exceptional service from every staff member. Their genuine hospitality and readiness to cater to our every need made our stay incredibly comfortable and enjoyable. The lodge’s location by the Mara River is simply breathtaking. From our beautiful tent, we had the unique privilege of watching a group of 15-20 hippos who reside on our side of the river. These magnificent creatures served as our natural alarm clocks, ensuring we were up early for our safari rides. The safaris organized by Fairmont were the highlight of our trip. Our guide and driver, Ruben, was truly outstanding. His extensive knowledge of the wildlife and the Masai Mara region, combined with his warm personality, made our safari rides both educational and thrilling. We highly recommend requesting Ruben as your guide – he is the best! Overall, our stay at Fairmont Masai Mara Lodge was nothing short of amazing. The stunning location, exceptional service, and unforgettable safari experiences have left us with memories we will cherish forever. We can’t wait to return!
