The service was great and the workers was really nice and always available.. location was great had everything close by and 30mins away from Marseille.. The restaurant was nice and food on point.. Only thing is the room had a tiny fridge and no microwave to even hot up some left overs and the outlets where far from the bed and not even my CV available so had to charge one thing at a time.. other than that I had a great time

The facilities are a bit old fashioned.
The black point, I made an accepted request for a double bed and I ended up with 2 single beds.
The hotel is very run down. The air conditioning was not working but you could not open the windows at night because of the noise from the motorway running alongside. Also the music the hotel plays throughout the public areas goes on 24/7 With a speaker on the patio area below our room it meant that even with the window shut there was a constant bass beat we couldn’t get away from. Despite requests to the hotel from our wonderful tour guide nothing was done. Temperature in the bedroom was 25c. Do not eat at the hotel, the food is abysmal and very expensive. The grounds and pool are not maintained and filthy, the litter bins outside reception overflowing. The only positives are the towels and bedding are new and plentiful and the supplied toiletries are high end, good quality.

Rooms The only thing that let the room down was I don't think it was vacuumed throughout the stay. Wear and tear can't be helped. Everything else was good. Safety In a quiet area which felt very safe. Walkability 10 mins walk to shops, local pizza place. About a 35 mins easy walk into Aix en Provence, very safe. Food and drinks Breakfast was excellent, plenty to choose from and the coffee machine was the best. The pre-ordered meals for the group were very basic. Hotel highlights Quiet, great value, staff were very nice.

Booked in by a tour company for a week and the reviews say it all. It was the dirtiest and most poorly maintained bedroom I have ever stayed in including filthy carpets and holes in the curtains. Whilst a fridge and kettle are provided which are very welcome this so called 4 star hotel only provides paper cups in both the bathroom and bedroom. When 1 of our party asked if they could have a glass they were told no they are only for the business guests!!! The breakfast spread is excellent but the other food is very poor with no choice whatsoever for tour groups. Bedding and towels are good. The bus service into Aix is excellent just as well as its a 30 minute uphill walk into town. Very very disappointing.

We were booked into this hotel by our airline following a flight cancellation. The hotel is a distance from the centre in a fairly dead area. To start the AC in the reception either wasn't working or switched on both in the evening & following morning. It was extremely hot. Many guests where gathered in the reception area to watch the Euro final in this unpleasant atmosphere. Perhaps at least fans could have been provided. We ordered an evening meal of the vegan Pad Thai & made this very clear both verbally & by pointing at the menu that this was to be without egg or prawns. 20 minutes later the meals arrived with a fried egg on top of each & containing prawns. The unpleasant server then told us this was the vegetarian version. Since when are prawns a vegetable & desides we had ordered the vegan version as per menu, no egg, no prawns. A further 20 minutes late the correct meals arrived. Again an unpleasant attitude. So to bed in a basic, tired run down room. On getting into the very low down old bed it collapsed on to the floor on one side! On inspection one of the screw in legs at the bottom corner had completely come away because the receiving part had deteriorated. We managed to rescrew the leg in. Between that & the extremely hard pillows ( we had asked earlier for softer pillows but the pillows provided were the only sort available in the hotel) not a great night's sleep. The following morning we had breakfast in a grim room & not a good meal. Black bananas, other selection of old fruit. Poor quality food at 19.50 each! On checking out we reported the bed problem & the receptionist said the room would immediately be taken out of service. However no apology or enquiry if we had been injured. We would definitely not recommended this hotel.

Stayed here as part of a tour. Hotel is one of the worse I’ve stayed in. Rooms are very run down and drab. Carpet stained. Wall in toilet stained. Black out curtains damaged Had 2 evening meals here and they were not very nice. My husband could not eat his main course. But towels and bedding nice. Bed comfy. No draws for clothes

Room was small, carpet was dirty, old fixtures and fittings, needs refurbishment. Air conditioning was turned off so guests have no control. The hair dryer did not work and staff had to bring one. I expected better at a Novotel.

The hotel is definitely on the older side. The bed was fine. It was an average stay. One weird thing was there as no outlet on either side of the bed so it made charging a phone difficult. Was a bit odd. We did get parking, which was nice. I did not have the breakfast. A bit far from downtown Provence.

A lovely find not far out from the centre of Aix En Provence. The reception is clean and welcoming, the reception staff are helpful and the bar is good. Our room was budget style, but adequate. We found it difficult to regulate the temperature of the room . They provide tea and coffee making facilities, a safe, and a fridge. The breakfast is much better than average and the serving staff work hard. The evening meals were exceptional; Really good quality and delightful staff on hand to help as required. Well worth a visit.

We were very disappointed with this hotel it is well overdue a refurbishment. The bedroom carpets are stained and grubby and not vacuumed once during our 7 night stay. The bed was comfortable and towels and sheets changed daily. There are tea and coffee facilities in the room, though the ingredients were not replenished adequately. It was evident that there were staff shortages but the staff there were friendly and helpful. We found that at breakfast they did not replenish the food and sundries quickly enough. The selection of cooked food was very limited. The hotel is very near a motorway and prevented us keeping the window open on a night. There us a bus stop close by allowing access into the town easily and cheaply

We stayed at three Novotel establishments during our tour of France. Yes as from some previous reviews, the hotel could do with some TLC However, the staff could not do enough for us, especially in the reception. Food on coach trips can be bland. This is not the hotel's fault as they are subject to budget constraints. Bottles of tap water on the tables are replenished on demand. NB the tap water in France is excellent, there is no need to pay for bottled water However, the breakfasts were superb. Our room was on the ground floor, it was clean and the air conditioning worked very well as did the free Wifi. Don't bother with Taxis, the local bus service is excellent and the return is only 2 Euros 40 c into Aix
