In the middle of 9 days here. Excellent location. The views of the sea and mountains are breathtaking and everything is just on the doorstep. The staff are lovely, especially the cleaning lady, breakfast staff and night reception. The breakfast is the best breakfast I've ever had. It makes me laugh when reviewers complain that it's all Turkish style food...newsflash we are in Turkey. The choice and taste is outstanding. It is a lovely, quiet and clean hotel with very comfortable large beds,lots of hot water,toiletries and teas and coffee. OK there is a bit of noise in the evening from the harbour restaurants but I knew I was booking a central city hotel and brought earplugs, but it was never a problem. Alanya is a very chilled out, interesting city with glorious beaches, mountain views,history, walking and lots of shops and restaurants. I hope to return and would stay in this hotel again.

It is very easy to get confused with the hotels in Alanya near Cleopatra beach because 90% of the hotels have the word 'Cleopatra' in them. Overall a decent experience with this hotel. Amazing location, a 5-minute walk from everything, and the hotel is hidden down the main road away from the noise. You cannot beat the location, it is literally near everything. The room itself was spacious and clean. Good wifi connection and a good large balcony. The elevator is extremely tiny, one person can barely even fit in it! Let alone bringing with you bags. The service was alright - however, they did not provide refreshments or tea/coffee in the room (only one bottle of water on the first day). When we asked for tea at reception they told us you can get it during breakfast if you pay. The shower temperature was controlled - it did not heat very well on the first day - however after a complaint it was fixed. Overall the main positive for this hotel is where it is situated - right in the heart of Alanya with a short distance to the beach/castle/gondola.

The hotel is lovely in itself but a massive shame about the staff… they are all rude and don’t even acknowledge you, they take food and drinks before you are done and please dont ever expect to get bottled water! (You can only get this from the restaurant bar which has a wicked queue). We literally had to beg to get a bottle of water from the bar for my babies bottle so we could feed him, the only water available is from a water machine at the side of the bar that tasted metallic and they only give you cups the size of a shot glass :) Not to mention you get there and they place you in a random room only to say you either need to pay an extra £380 to stay in that room or move the next day in the afternoon so you can’t relax. They also don’t really clean the rooms when you are in them.. I think they came in and moved the quilts in our room and that’s it, there was still formula we had dropped on the side from the morning. You are also not allowed to use the towels for the pool so please don’t attempt it they will go mad! BRING YOUR OWN. It wasn’t all bad the food was lovely and always had a really nice variety also there is a beach right outside (but it’s €9 a sunbed) you can just sit on the beach with a towel though. There are plenty of shops and restaurants immediately around the hotel so it terms of location it’s spot on.

A great hotel for its budget, new stylish rooms, a beautiful cozy setting in the Hall and restaurant. From the downsides this breakfast, strongly don't eat big hopes, it will be great if something is bitten and the plate will not be beaten, but most likely the plate will be beaten and the pancakes will end before you take them and nobody will offer new ) only a wheat egg or omlet with vegetables will remain )

The hotel is quite decent. The room is beautiful, with a balcony, a small refrigerator, wardrobe, 2 armchairs and a small table. The bed has a good mattress, but the pillows are difficult for me personally. The staff at the reception are very friendly.

Unfortunately, my stay at Blue Star Hotel was a huge disappointment. First of all, the food was terrible – very limited selection, and both my boyfriend and I got food poisoning. Each of us had stomach issues on different days, which completely ruined a large part of our vacation. Secondly, the alcohol was bad – the wine (both white and red), whisky, and vodka were undrinkable. The only thing worth having was the beer, but that’s hardly enough to improve the overall experience. The situation at the pool was also unpleasant – there were hardly any sun loungers available, making it nearly impossible to relax. Additionally, I had a very uncomfortable incident when an aggressive Turkish man tried to take my parasol and even pushed me, while the hotel staff didn’t intervene at all. Completely unprofessional. Another major issue was that people smoked everywhere in the hotel, which was awful for non-smokers like us. On top of that, the place seemed to be filled with loud, rude tourists from russia, which made the atmosphere even worse. One of the biggest disappointments was the beach situation. You have to pay 6 euros or 7 dollars to rent a sun lounger and parasol, and they don’t allow you to rent just the parasol separately. It’s honestly better to just buy your own parasol from a nearby shop for around 4 dollars and avoid the hassle. Communication with the staff was a nightmare – no one spoke English well, and the girls at the reception were rude and unhelpful. At night, it was hard to sleep because of the constant noise from trash collection, adding to the overall frustration. In summary, my stay at Blue Star Hotel was a complete disaster. The terrible food, undrinkable alcohol, lack of sun loungers, constant smoking, and loud, troublesome guests made it an awful experience. I would strongly advise against staying here.

This was a fabulous hotel. A couple of blocks from the beach. The hotel has umbrellas and loungers at a certain spot on the beach a couple of blocks down that you can use, and the beach is great. Lovely sandy beach. Great swimming. The staff were great, and they served a lovely breakfast.

On arrival - very beautiful hotel staff helpful and friendly ( young lady in the bar makes the best cocktail's out of all the staff at the bar other bar staff make your drink different every time you get a refill although it was the same drink , some people may find that’s a issue but to me not so much and the lady who cooks lunches works so hard and does good food and drinks s friendly ) Check in - was straight forward , shown to our room without a long wait after a long journey to arrive so that’s good bags carried for us and everything explained to us clearly with what was available in the room and how to use aircon Room - small very clean with hairdryer Plenty of room to unpack your clothes and a dressing table tea coffee kettle and fridge and even some slippers in the cupboard to wear clean bedding and a small balcony which was fine as it was just me and my mum Also Working aircon Breakfast - a range of different foods for breakfast some people like the breakfast others are not keen but it is difficult to please everyone Lunch - which is served at the 24hr bar very good especially if you didn’t want what was for breakfast there is some one making the food to order chips pizza burgers wraps sandwiches so you won’t go hungry Pools - Two options of out door pools a relax pool more to the back of the hotel and pool at the front that you can see on arrival both good and plenty of sun loungers so no one feels the need to leave towels on then although surprisingly enough people felt the need to do this all day and not return at all until the following day the pools are not heated but they really do not need to be I went 22/8/24 for a week and it helped us cool down pool closes at 7pm would be great if it stayed open a while longer Dinner - personally good variety a little bit of something for everyone if your super fussy with food meat fish salad fruit or if you love your food you will find a banquet and not know what food to eat next Late night snack - around midnight served in the 24hour bar which is soup or rice with some sort of stew with meat and bread Service - good clean tidy quick to take plates cups cutlery glasses once you are finished Internet - ‍♀️ …. Ok so before this seems bad let me say I am from Great Britain and I am on o2 phone network and own a iPhone so maybe one of those could have been the issue ‍♀️ i have o2 world wide travel but decided I would try out the wifi ….. I had to add my passport number then a code and room number to connect , it connects you can use it send maybe two three messages and then it stops and unconnected my phone or if I finished messages and still in the same place in the hotel and try use it again maybe a little while later like 30 minutes ….. I have no wifi I logged back in to the internet so many times I remembered all the details off by heart by day 3 of my 8 day holiday once again that was my own experience as there were mixed reviews about this my mums was fine for th

Hotel rooms: good space, well appointed, lots of hanging storage space (not many hangars), only x2 small drawers and no iron in room. Tea and coffee available but kettle leaked (had x2 both leaked). No milk available. Small fridge frequently refilled with water. Nice beds (but pull out bed had very poor mattress, wouldn’t advise use for more than a night). Bedding and towels ok, rooms cleaned well and linen changed regularly. Bathroom ok, has hairdryer, and shower gel. Other accessories such as cotton buds and shower caps in wardrobe. Large mirror in bathroom and mirrored robes. No magnifying mirror which might have been helpful. Bathroom bin pedal didn’t work: inconvenient. Very small balcony with plastic chairs. Clothes drying provided by only x4 pronged struts (not enough). Good air con (AC), lots of sockets, TV was ok and nice lighting. Safe in room. Location: a bit far from centre. Taxi is 3-500 Lira to the centre. Or take a very long (approx 5 mile) walk stopping at bars etc along the way (takes about 2 hrs without stops or 3-4 with a few drinks and a lunch on the way). Views from hotel not great unless you have premium rooms looking out to sea… can be noisy with roads. Beach:2 mins across the road with shuttle, only 5 to walk. Beach gravelly and pebbly, small wooden walkway and pier there, can access water from that or from beach. Nice beach beds but poor mattresses. Good towel exchange for beach if needed. Nice bar and snacks at beach. Pool: main pool lots of space and good beds etc. good bar service at pool. Music loud/ noisy though. Quiet pool has nice beds, but they are frequently covered in towels early morning so not always available. Food: Breakfast range excellent. Fruit always available. A good range of food at main means , salads are excellent and very fresh. Hot food a little on the cool ode (temperature control not good). Generally nice though and always had meat, fish and bbq options. Options through night and all day available (including cake bar). Drinks: Coffee is great. Alcohol not branded options (although bottles look to be). Wine is not good, avoid). Cocktails ok once you’ve had a few. Spa/gym: looked well equipped and accessible. Treatments seemed expensive compared to other hotels and in the centre (I didn’t use the services but those who did reported it to be positive). Hotel shop: limited options and expensive by comparison. Local small supermarket has all toiletries etc at very cheap prices (2 mins walk down the road). Staff: Some great some not so great (same as anywhere else). Cleaning/ housekeeping staff VERY good. Reception staff could be a little abrupt. Bar staff ok, restaurant staff seemed very busy but also keen to help. Entertainment: Not much on offer. 2 staff offering range of music between 21:30-23:30 (mainly ABBA and some modern pop and rap. Saw a good live dancing show 1 evening. Had a live singer another. Some karaoke also on. Better options for entertainment can be found along bars on way

We were very impressed with this hotel on our holiday. We couldnt believe how stunning it was, so much work has gone into it. We checked in evening time and the lovely man on reception explained everything to us and took our bags to our rooms for us. Its spotlessly clean, you see housekeepers and cleaners around all day. As soon as drinks are empty they're taken off the tables, they are always making sure everywhere is clean and tidy. The rooms are lovely and spacious with good amount of storage for clothes. Large showers. Beds were slightly hard and had to ask for an extra blanket as one isn't enough to cover two people comfortably. Aircon takes a bit of messing about with to work but when its on its fab. You get a full fridge worth of drinks including fanta,coke and sprite along with water and juices all free but the soft drinks dont get replenished. The pools are huge,clean and not overcrowded. We seen the whole pool area and beds get deep cleaned in the nights. We were always able to get sunbeds even when people hogged beds for full days with towels and didnt return to use them. The spa facilities are lovely, the atmosphere down there is lovely with the calming music and essential oils.The indoor pool is absolutely freezing but nice for a cold dip if youre too hot. The old guy from the Spa put a downer on our holiday as he was so so pushy,even when told no he kept nagging us to book treatments. We were approached 4-5 different times by this man, one time I was sat by the pool on a phonecall when he and another woman appeared out of nowhere wanting to speak to me, he was told by our friends that i was busy on the phone and didnt want to speak but he didn't take the hint and just stood there staring at me for a good 5+ minutes until i finally had enough and got up to leave to continue my call. He then badgered me and told me I needed to visit his friend he was stood with for skincare as my face was bad (it wasn't,( i just have lots of freckles) he then said something to the woman and she stood staring at me assessing my face and told me i needed to go down to the spa NOW to have laser treatments on my face. It was so unnecessary and rude, i felt so self conscious afterwards and it ruined my day. You need a new Spa rep here if you expect to sell anything. Food is better than expected, they served turkey,lamb,chicken,salmon,fish, fresh chicken kebabs,beef etc and plenty of salad and veggies. Theres always something to eat no matter what the other reviews say. If you're a fussy eater don't go all inclusive. Drinks are really tasty,although you need a few to get anywhere near tipsy! The bartenders are super friendly and helpful, cant fault them. We never seen any pool games and the evening entertainment we did see was naff, for a 5* you'd expect it to be quite good. I did miss some music around the pool, slow jazz gets a bit repetitive. We had no problems here and would definitely return. Theres plenty of shops,bazaars and supermarkets nearby wi
