We stayed for one night at Alcester whilst travelling home after our holiday in Devon. The lady on the desk was very polite and welcoming; and very helpful in providing places to eat locally (as we don't know the area). There was building work going on whilst we were there (petrol station being knocked down, in the morning) but you couldn't hear any noise inside the Travelodge. With the windows open you get general road noise from the A46. The rooms we stayed in were spotless, though we did find the door to the accessible room was very heavy to open and the main light in the normal room was flickering (commented on this to Travelodge so hopefully fixed) however the workspace lights and bedside lights provided the necessary illumination. There was the normal bit of dust/fluff on the bathroom extractor fan. The decor was okay, maybe could do with a repaint but for a place to stay for the night, the rooms were very good; adjustable heating, the beds were very comfy. The showers were hot and powerful. Maybe could have done with with a few more sockets nearer the bed. In the normal room there were only four provided on the Workspace, 2 used for TV and kettle. As always a review will highlight the negatives but for the price we paid it was very nice. One of the places we were told about, SpiceRoom in Alcester, make really nice pizzas too.
