Villa de Hollong

We stayed there for 2 nights in June. The photos do not resemble reality. The hedges are gone and the grass is unkempt. We stayed in a deluxe double . The bathroom smelled throughout and the fixtures were dirty . There is real danger of slipping in the bathroom as the floor tile is real slippery. The extra mattress that was provided was dust caked. The cook Sambhu and his 2 helpers tried their best but they definitely lack hospitality skills. When I arrived there one afternoon , I felt intimidated with their behaviour and general appearance.I feel sorry for them but not for the owner. It is he who is running the show and should put more thought into how to maintain the infrastructure and train the people. The cook however cooks well and caters to your requirements. The food can be tad spicy for some who are not used to such fare. Again the state of such establishments in West Bengal are similar and for some reason have been accepted by the guests as the norm. At best, it can be called a home stay and neither a hotel or resort.

Room.and toilet are quite spacious but very untidy. Bathroom floor tiles were so slippery that made our 6days of stay an uncomfortable one! Unprofessional behaviour and indifferent attitude of the staffs are to be mentioned. Staffs are extremely lazy, ill mannered and should be trained professionally how to be courteous towards the customer.We had to call the owner of the resort for complaint who doesn't stay in the vicinity. Otherwise the stay could have been wonderful.

Located perfectly close to the main ,Hollong of the park, this is the a great place to stay and explore Jaldapara Nation Park . As soon as you enter the resort the relaxing and peaceful ambience is palpable. I visited the place with my family and some friends.Our kids enjoyed a lot . Rooms are very well maintained.food taste is delicious with again a very good hospitality. They took care of every aspect of our stay so well that we don’t have words to thank them . Highly recommended.
