Great hotel in a great location. Rooms are big enough and clean. The on-site restaurant cooks good food but the waiting staff doesn't speak much English so you might get still water when asking for sparkling water.

The location is very good, the main attractions are within walking distance, there are many places to eat around, and it is very close to the pedestrian street. There is a currency exchange shop opposite the hotel. The breakfast is simple, but the taste and quality are good. After we moved to Mercure, the taste of breakfast in this hotel is the best. The room can see the snow-capped mountains. The downside is that the bathroom in the hotel lobby is relatively dirty…

The room is large and equipped with a kettle. The breakfast is rich and every day is different. The mattress is too soft and my back hurts when I sleep on it. The location is also very good. It is very convenient for shopping and parks.

The location is very good, the service is good, the waiters are all English speaking, there are many Indians, the price of this level of hotel is OK in Almaty, but it is a bit expensive in China

Great location. Good breakfast. The rooms are clean, but in style, for my taste, “cold in style” and a little “tired”. Service. The employees are polite, but we had to call a technician to repair a TV that wasn’t working twice. We lived in a junior suite. It was spacious and generally comfortable. It even had robes and white slippers. But it faced a noisy street, which caused us to wake up several times during the night. I asked to be moved to another quieter room, but there were none available. In general, as a result, I had mixed feelings about the hotel. I'd say it's worth 3.5 stars rather than 4.

The service staff are very nice and the room furnishings are also very good. The pillows were too high for me, the hotel was not very soundproof and the bathroom exhaust fan was too loud.

My husband and I have traveled to 80 countries for more than ten years and stayed in countless hotels. This hotel has the worst experience. We started our 20-day free trip to Central Asia and Transcaucasia on August 31st. When we chose this hotel, we compared it with another hotel next to it that was twice as expensive and still chose it because we wanted to stay in a foreign country. In case of language barrier during the trip, the hotel can provide English services to better help us. We arrived at the hotel at noon and started preparing for the next day's itinerary. When checking in, we asked if there was a travel agency nearby that could recommend it to us. At this time, a staff member came out and said: "I represent the travel agency, you can just contact me." "After seeing his name tag, his name was Kairat, and he was a staff member of this hotel. We told him that we wanted to sign up for a one-day tour of Chalun Canyon and Erhu Lake, and we needed an English-speaking driver or tour guide. He said that you can go and have fun at night. I will contact you when you get back. It may also be that I trust the hotel too much, because considering that a hotel in Kazakhstan costs more than 900 per night, a hotel in the same location that is twice as expensive as next door should be worthy of trust. When I came back in the evening, he said that he had contacted me and that a car would pick you up at 8:00 tomorrow in front of the hotel for 30,000 KZT per person. Ask him if he wants to sign a group agreement? He said no and asked if he could use his credit card. He said no and asked us to pay cash directly to the driver. We agreed without thinking too much. The next day there was a small group of 6 people in a small car, including my husband and I, plus the driver. The driver didn’t understand English at all. We took the initiative to ask a local tourist in the same car for the arrangements. He knew a little bit of English, and he kindly helped us with a simple translation. our. At the end of the trip, we paid the driver. Everyone in the same car paid 20,000 KZT, but the two of us paid 60,000 KZT. Through communication with the driver through the tourists in the same car, the driver said: "Our quotation has always been 20,000 KZT per person, and it is the hotel. I overcharged you, and I want to return the overcharged money to Kairat." At the same time, the driver showed us the conversation between Kairat and him, and I took pictures of the quotes in their conversation. Considering that the driver had a hard day driving, we didn’t want to embarrass him, so we gave him 60,000KZT. Because the extra 50% of the tour fee is a cash transaction, there is no contract or agreement in the whole process. It is most likely that Kairat has gone into his own pocket. We can accept and understand that he or the hotel collected a small amount of hard work or contact fees from the middle, but it is as high as The 50% price made us very upset and angry. This happened at the first stop of our 20-day trip to Central Asia. It affected our mood and caused a big question mark on our trust in the hotel. There is another thing: On the night of the first day we checked in, Kairat took the initiative to tell us: "When you leave for the airport, I can personally take you there. The taxi outside costs 10,000KZT, and I only need 7,000KZT." Because he had signed up for a tour group. To deceive us, we asked another young guy at the hotel (his name on the badge was Abylkhaiyr, we were very grateful to him) and asked him to call us a car using Yandex, but it only cost 2000KZT! Kairat, the hotel employee, is so crazy. He exploits guests so much. He must be crazy to make money! This kind of behavior from such employees brings disgrace to the entire hotel! Although the overall price is not much, it greatly affected our mood during the trip. It was originally a happy trip, and we wanted to experience different cultural experiences and beauty. Unexpectedly, at the first stop, we experienced such a disgusting experience in a hotel with an unrealistic price. One scene.
