At $500 usd per night (without breakfast) I was expecting something special at top level Intercontinental standards. Was very disappointed to see the tired old smelly room that had not been renovated in 20 years. The hotel has a club or ballroom that has shouting singing people until the early hours and the hotel provided ear plugs as I am sure they get lots of complaints. Stay at the ritz Carlton in Almaty and skip this tired hotel.
