Fantastic Harry Potter themed hotel. The theming starts as you go up the stairs. We stayed in the Dark Quarters which was stunning. There is even a robe and hat in the room for photo opportunities. Would recommend to any HP fan. Also just a few minutes from Alnwick Castle and the Dirty Bottles pub downstairs is lovely.

Stayed in the Dark Quarters, amazing room very comfortable bed. Staff are very friendly with good food and drink . Would definitely recommend this little gem to anyone going to Alnwick. Very close walking distance to the castle and gardens.

Wonderful 1 night stay at Crux, we had the Adventurers room. Subtle Harry Potter touches, nothing over the top. Beautiful bathroom, very clean. Loved the bathrobes and great size towels. Bed and pillows were super comfortable. We had a few drinks during happy hour downstairs in The Dirty Bottles, stayed here to eat and that didn't disappoint. Great portion sizes and reasonably priced too. Breakfast was included, again very good quality and plenty to eat. No noise could be heard from other rooms or from downstairs. Great staff and amazing location. Would love to visit again!

We stayed in the dark arts room and it really was special as a Harry Potter fan. The attention to detail in the decoration was magical. We really appreciated the information book with advice of local places to eat and visit. The room was spacious enough for 2 and the bed was comfortable. We really appreciated the fan as the room is warm.

We stayed for one night with our 2 year old daughter and we loved it so much that we’ve already rebooked! Staff were really helpful about us dropping our luggage off early and took it up to our room for us when our room was ready. We stayed in the Dark Quarters and the attention to detail in the room was just brilliant - the Black family wallpaper in particular was so cool. We’d just visited the castle and our daughter thought our bedroom was in the castle and she was really excited - I did see her point as the room felt very grand and special! We had dinner that evening in The Dirty Bottles, we had the Sunday roast and it was lovely. I don’t drink and they had some great mocktails available. We wanted to make the most of the room so got our (bath)robes on and watched a couple of Harry Potter films! You order breakfast the night before, we both got smoked salmon and scrambled eggs and breakfast was great - you could help yourself to cereal, fruit, yoghurt etc alongside what you’d ordered. Our daughter has chatted about it every day since we came back and how much fun it was “in castle with witches hats” - can’t wait to visit again!

Such a lovely little hotel! The decor was very well done, so many little details in the rooms from the starry sky ceilings to the dark blue subway tile in the bathroom. The hotel staff were so kind and thoughtful, they really made our stay comfortable and relaxing. The pub downstairs is convenient and the food and drinks are superb! And the location is great, right in the middle of Alnwick, and barely a 5 min walk to Alnwick Castle just around the corner.

It was lovely but disappointed that the toiletries seemed used and could not find the Harry Potter films! It wasn’t very Harry Potter in the meeting room! Bathroom was lovely tho! Could have done with a full length mirror in the room very noisy you could hear talking and noise from room next door! Breakfast was lovely tho

Had a great stay here. My boyfriend booked us a night away here at the chambers and it did not disappoint. I’m a huge Harry Potter fan and it was just perfect! I really appreciated the attention to detail, from the wall paper to the snake lamp, the sorting hat, and even walking to the room the picture of Dumbledore. My boyfriend requested champagne and roses which the staff accommodated happily, it was the perfect night away The staff were so friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast. Comfy bed. A fire alarm did go off at 05:30 in the morning, which at the time was annoying, but you could tell it was a one off and staff were apologetic about it. Everything else was superb!

Hallow and Crux is amazing! It’s the most beautiful, special space I’ve stayed this trip. It is Harry Potter themed but if you aren’t a fan, you wouldn’t know. They offer breakfast in the morning too; everything we had was delicious. I look forward to coming back and bringing friends.
