We stayed here from December 19-21, 2023. This is a beautiful hotel, well, really a castle! The grounds are very nice and there is even a Michelin rated restaurant located on the grounds. The rooms are big and well appointed. The staff are very helpful and friendly. This location is great as a base while exploring the nearby castles and chateaus, of which there are many. There is parking on the grounds, and also nearby places to dine and drink. One of the more unique locations we have stayed on our journeys.

The hotel is relatively remote. I booked a room for four people. There were two beds upstairs, but the ventilation was poor.

3 h 30 pour 3 plats sans apéritifs, l’entrée arrive au bout d’1 h 30, il a fallu réclamer la carte des vins au bout de 30 mins pour pouvoir boire une bouteille, une entrée qui arrive sans sa sauce crustacé qui ne vient qu’au bout de 15 mn, le reste de la table a bien sûr terminé les siennes, que dire de plus ? Comment ce restaurant peut-il avoir une étoile ? Seule consolation, un sommelier sympa et professionnel qui nous guide dans une belle carte des vins. L’hôtel est quant à lui très bien…

From the moment of our arrival we were made to feel very welcome and comfortable. The receptionist, Laura, showed us around the hotel and explained everything to us. We ate in the restaurant which was wonderful after having had aperitifs by the pool. All in all, a lovely experience.

My wife and I stayed at the Chateau for 2 nights and had a perfect stay. We loved our room and the staff was exceptionally attentive, friendly, and conscientious. We had dinner in the restaurant at the hotel and had an exceptionally good meal. I left some things behind in the room and they got them back to me promptly. Much appreciated. The concierge made a reservation for a local restaurant on one of our days which was also exceptionally good. The breakfast was great, wonderful breads and pastries and coffee.

Une belle parenthèse estivale entre amis au château de Pray et dans les environs d’Amboise avant la rentrée de septembre. Très beau château, bien entretenu avec une belle piscine extérieure, vue magnifique sur la Loire. Restaurant étoilé franchement excellent. Nous nous sommes régalés sur tous les plans.
