We are uncomfortable leaving less than stellar reviews, but wish we'd been able to read a review like this before booking here. We are kind of baffled by the superb reviews because other than a friendly owner, we found it just average. It almost felt like we just got tired of driving and stopped by a regular house and asked if we could sleep in their spare room. PROS: -It was nice to have a dedicated parking space for each room. -The grounds are very pretty. -The owner, who does not live there, and the wife who runs it, are friendly. CONS: -We thought it was overpiced for what it is. -Is pretentious to call this house an Inn. -The husband of the couple who live never said a word and hustled out of each room as we entered. Shabbily dressed and barefoot, it felt as though we'd interrupted him in his living room. -No one was wearing masks. -The house is right on a busy street and we heard cars all night. -Breakfast was okay but was barely appetizer size. We stopped by Panera as we headed out of town. -We think the great reviews raised our expectations, which were not met by the experience. We think if you are there for an event, it would be nice not to have to drive anywhere afterward. There was nothing really wrong with this place, but there was also nothing above average. If you go in expecting an average place, you'll probably have a more realistic experience. During covid, it was better than a crowded hotel, but we just didn't find it to be anything special. For this price, you can probably do better.
