We was not in the main hotel, but in another building, but its as nice as the main hotel, Very thing was good n clean, the shower was nice, clean towels Would recommend this hotel the staff are lovely Appledore is a lovely place to visit Plus the ice cream van outside the hotel is a must to try

We booked two rooms one comfy & one comfy feature. We were placed in the house away from the pub which wasn’t a problem for us. The comfy feature room was absolutely stunning the view was amazing. The bed was so big & comfortable. The whole room was 5 star with options of snacks & drinks fairly priced if wanted, lovely complimentary homemade biscuits to have with a nice coffee & lots of nice free toiletries which you could buy at reception which I thought was a lovely touch. The comfy room was ok was nice but I am glad we paid that little bit extra for the comfy feature room. We also managed to get a late check out which was great as had some hours to kill before our next stay away was ready. The staff were very accommodating & lovely maybe spread a tad too thinly for a sunny August week day. We decided to grab a late lunch 3pm ish & start our little get away with a nice bottle of Prosecco. The bar staff had opened & placed into a nice ice bucket but the bottle was hot & ruined our experience really. We did take back for a replacement bottle but for the price I wouldn’t recommend as second bottle not really cold either. Just felt like first bottle had been ran under a cold tap for a few minutes. Anyway didn’t let that ruin the whole break away & we ordered lunch. We got a sharing ploughman’s board that looked & tasted lovely our only grumble with this was that there was no sharp knife to cut the ham off the bone so couldn’t really get much meat off . Ok we could of asked for a sharp knife but after previous hot Prosecco I really didn’t want to be those people who nit picked everything. One of us ordered the steak sandwich which again I’m sorry to say just looked abit sad for its self thin floppy bread & thin fries that looked like had been reheated a few times. We ate it but I wouldn’t order again. Such a shame as pub looked lovely & I’m wondering if we just caught on a bad day? Would we come back ummm 100% for comfy feature room could not fault. Not so sure for comfy room I think I’d rather pay extra as definitely worth it & eat & drink at pub possibly just maybe read the room/ pub more.

Drank and eaten here a number of times and always loved the vibe. Was travelling through and needed a stop over. Got so much more. Room bright and airy with the most excellent view. Food was top drawer. Staff friendly and welcoming. First overnight in Appledore did not disappoint

Excellent stay at The Seagate. Staff and service very good. Room and bed were very comfortable. Food excellent. The booking was very easy on their website. Both checkin and checkout were very efficient. I would highly recommend the hotel and restaurant. Thank you.

We were very disappointed with our bed, the room was lovely and the view was amazing but the bed was like sleeping on the floor, I did say about it after the first night but nothing was done but after yet another uncomfortable night we saw the cleaning lady who put a quilt in our room to put on the bed, which was better, the pub was as nice but not disabled friendly a few steps to negotiate luckily I had my walker and not my scooter, the stairs to our room were fine with 2 hand rails until the last 3 steps when there was nothing, the disabled toilet spoiled my whole weekend, no lock on it so you can imagine my horror as a member of staff opened the door, I was shouting and my husband was shouting as well but she was more concerned with her friends she just kept opening the door to my horror and shame everyone could see in, she just kept on laughing, yes she said sorry and yes the landlord did as well but I never used it again and had to go upstairs to the ladies, we were ignored the rest of our stay but that didn’t bother me, The good points are a beautiful view and the food was really good

Walked in by chance of a table. Greeted quickly and was sat within a few minutes. Service was attentive. Drinks were served promptly. We looked over the menu and made our choices. Noah kindly took our order and explained up to a 30 minute wait. Our food was out with in 10 minutes. The pork belly bites were incredible.

Waterfront hotel with sea views. Friendly, efficient service and warm welcome. Will definitely stay again.

Great greeting and room well equipped but otherwise average. Food average as was the service of this. A mixed bag but perhaps reflected in the price!
