We booked this holiday, 2 apartments with kitchen etc and balconies. We stayed here for 19 nights and it was OK. I probably would not go back here again as better places to do and see things in Goa. Arambal is approximately 90 minutes drives from Goa dabalim Airport so costs of travel from here need factoring in when travelling. We did a day taxi tour and most of the venues we visited were similar to each other and the good places like waterfalls, dolphins and crocodile tours were just too far. Arambal is a busy small area with a lot of small shops selling everything and anything. The beach is 30 minutes walk. It is OK. There are lots ot touts from cleaning ear wax, massaging selling trinkets. It dies get a little too much when you're eating your food and they still come selling things. Pros The staff are very polite and friendly. They also work fairly hard, particularly the cleaners and reception staff. The apartment and complex is off the busy main road, but you wouldn't know this from there. The apartments were clean and decor was good. Tiled floors. The pool is a good size, not heated, but has the same depth ***** the entire length. Pool area is nice, has a bar area but any drinks or food ordered is taken to the kitchen. No service really at the bar, this is a waste of space around the pool. Space that could be used to accommodate more sun loungers. Food served is nice and tasty. Chicken though is usually tough and dry to eat. There is a paid for laundry Wasing and drying which was worth the money. Treated or filtered drinking water in both apartments. AC was brilliant and worked a treat to cool down room. And ceiling fans in kitchen and bedroom worked. Cons On arrival one apartment had a balcony the other did not. When I mentioned this I was informed that the small walkway around the apartment, accessed via French doors was our balcony..clearly not. No table or chairs in this apartment. Then the apartments. One has a gas cooker, but if you want to cook, you need to buy gas bottle. No table or chairs to dine from. The other apartment had a table and chair but no cutlery. There was no hot water to the kitchen sink so any washing up had to be done in cold water. There was a fridge freezer in one apartment and only a fridge in the other. Though both apartments had a microwave, the electricity supply was inadequate to run the said appliance, in fact even the only toaster in one apartment struggled to toast bread. Getting towels changed when required was an minor ordeal, but an ordeal nonetheless. It appeared that they complex didn't have enough towels for a regular ( not daily) change. Often used towels would be taken and not replaced as the washed towels were left hanging to dry. The hot water for shower was a hit and miss affair. Either the water was too hot or just cold. It didn't stay hot for long when hot either. Not enough sun loungers around the pool, only 6, so if it was busy only the first 6 people got to lounge mo
