Amazing

The location is very good, just on the central square, there are many restaurants when you go out, and you can walk to the commercial street by the sea in 2 minutes. Quite a small boutique hotel. I stayed in the suite on the top floor (4th floor), which has an exclusive large terrace and can see the entire square and part of the sea view, which is great (Figure 3). There is also a hot tub for the exclusive use of the suite on the terrace. The service staff are also very enthusiastic. Overall, the staying experience is very good. Although the facilities are definitely not 5-star standard, it should be a good choice on this island. Also, the hotel is closed from November to April.

First impressions very good great room lovely penthouse room with jacuzzi and huge roof top terrace over looking the square . Staff over all were very good apart from the younger guy on reception who couldn't really be bothered to communicate, the breakfast was basic but clean and tidy not a great choice but acceptable , on two occasion we asked for the jacuzzi to be topped up as the water line was below the filter , they were slow to accommodate this request but eventually got around to it a day later , other than the aforementioned everything was fine, and would defo recommend.

Definitely give this hotel a miss. The room was very small but the en-suite was miniscule, never seen such a small one, no storage or stool. There were only six hangers, for a double room!! No mirror in the bedroom and a hairdryer that wouldn't plug in, in the bathroom, difficult to dry your hair when you can't see what your doing. The safe was that high you needed a step ladder to reach it. The breakfast was adequate but mostly cold and the staff need to go on a customer service course, they stood around talking or on their phones whilst dirty plates stayed on the tables. No guidance as to where to get anything, including cutlery & napkins, no they weren't on the tables.

The selling features of this hotel is first and foremost its location, followed by its outward appearance. Beyond that , the rooms are tiny and hot with no effective air conditioning , surprisingly dirty and a night desk clerk that is rude, inefficient and should be fired. The restaurant staff are lovely but the food is average

We were very disappointed with our recent 1 night stay at this hotel. We booked a classic room promising personal concierge service, early/late check in, and welcome treat. The initial receptionist ( lady with long dark hair) was lovely and helpful and promised our room would be ready for 1pm -- we had to wait until nearly 2pm for the room. We didnt receive a welcome treat (or was that meant to be the 'welcome drink' that we did get) and we saw no sign of our personal concierge. The room was comfortable enough - it was small though and the balcony was tiny (although it had a lovely view over the main town square). There was no hairdryer in the room -- we mentioned this to reception and the male receptionist was a bit offhand and advised we ahould have called him and he would have made a hairdryer available ---- well the cleaner should have checked that the room had the hairdryer in the allocated wardrobe drawer before declaring that the room was ready for us! We were disappointed that there was no coffee/tea making facilities in the room -- although to be fair the availability of these facilities was not included in the room description. The safety deposit box was completely out of reach on top of the built in wardrobe -- useless......I mentioned this to the male receptionist, who suggested we should 'climb' (presumably using the single cfhair in the room) to get access!). Not wonderful health and safety!!! There were 3 steps by the main entrance to the hotel - this made it difficult for anybody with large suitcases......there appeared to be no 'accessible' hotel entrance. Breakfast was just about acceptable -- usual half cold bacon, cocktail sausages and eggs in buffet style and continental choices (cold meats, cheese etc). Nice pastries and the coffee was remarkably good coming from a machine! All in all -- disappointing for the money we paid. This was our second visit to this hotel --- we probably would stay there again if only for its location in Argostoli.

We have recently returned from our first stay at the Hotel Aenos, Argostoli, Kefalonia. What a wonderful experience!! We were warmly welcomed at reception by a charming and delightful Kate who explained all about the hotel services. Our room was spotlessly clean and well appointed with constant air conditioning available. Breakfast service was buffet style and offered a comprehensive range of cereal, fruit, bread and sweet and savoury pastry choices. In addition there were hot offerings of sausage, bacon and various egg options. Beverages were made by the lovely Maria who greeted us cheerily each morning. She was ably assisted by Marinela and Lefteris. No request was ever too much trouble and the aim was clearly to please and deliver a good experience. The location is ideal next to the town's main square that is bordered by a huge variety of restaurants , tavernas and shops. So much to see and do in easy walking distance around the town, we found the position ideal. All in all we felt valued and were well looked after. Rooms were serviced to an excellent standard every day. We loved our stay and shall return. We'll done Mr Metaxas and your wonderful team.

Wonderful warm welcome from reception when we arrived, cases taken to our room and air con put on, while we had a cold drink to recover from our journey. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff at this hotel. The bedding and pillows were so comfy, lovely en suite with free toiletries replenished every day. Free water in the fridge, lovely small balcony where we could see the square and the sea. Loved the location, loved the place and loved the staff.

They were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was extremely nice and plentiful. We had two rooms. One for the parents and one for the kids. Parents room was great and spacious and the kids room was a little cramped but the location was perfect! Lots to do within walking distance. Bed and pillows were very comfortable.

This stay was amazing, I would definitely recommend this as the top place in Kefalonia. Fotis Zapantis, whom checked us in and helped me with all my business needs provided excellent service throughout my few days. Cannot wait to come back to Kefalonia and stay at the Aenos!

Another comfortable, relaxing stay in this charming hotel. As always, the staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly and the breakfast as excellent as always. Spotlessly clean and we had a lovely (upgraded) room with a balcony overlooking the square. And such great value. Highly recommend.

Fabulous hotel. Ideally situated for exploring Argostoli. Staff are very attentive and always asking if you need anything. We stayed in room 401 which is top floor and accessed by a lift. Room is luxurious, large comfortable bed, lovely pillows and the shower room has a lovely big shower. Luxury toiletries are included as was water in the room fridge. WiFi and aircon are also included. The terrace is amazing! Excellent views of the city and sea. Comfortable chill out chairs, 2 sunbeds and a very good hot tub. Perfect temperature for chilling out. We stayed bed and breakfast, food and coffees were all very good. Would we return? In a heartbeat.

Superb views across the square and harbour. Room was lovely although only 5 or 6 hangers. Not enough for 2 people for a week. We had the suite with panoramic views and outdoor jacuzzi. Unfortunately we didn't use the jacuzzi as it appeared dirty with scum lines. 2 of the receptionist were lovely and the lady we saw sometimes in the evening with blonde curly hair. The hairdryer was not fit for purpose for such an expensive vacation. The safe didn't work on arrival but was sorted with some new batteries. Breakfast was the usual free for all with gannets piling up their plates and usually leaving half of it. Juice only available a few days out of the 7. Cleaner took our pass key from our room and when we questioned this the housekeeper denied it. Then it miraculously turned up again after one receptionist said we would be charged, even though we didn't lose it in the first place. Bed was too soft. Water bottles in the fridge were said to be replenished everyday and they weren't. Toiletries should have also been replenished for such a luxury suite. We had to ask at receptionist for more soap. Best thing was the view and balcony plus some of the reception ladies. All being said, we would stay at Aenos Hotel Kefalonia again if some improvements were made.

We had already booked flights to Kefalonia and stumbled across the Aenos Hotel in our search for accommodation that offered a good location plus comfort and service. ......And we found it .... What a lovely Hotel and what amazing staff!! I can honestly say that we were more than looked after from beginning to end - nothing was too much trouble. Our room was the Pentehouse suite with panoramic balcony and jacuzzi/hot tub. It was very clean, tidy and extremely comfortable. The hotel is situated overlooking the main square , which we did not find at all noisy even though it was busy. The balcony also offered the most amazing views of the sea and lagoon with the stunning hills as a picturesque backdrop. It is very clear that the owners are very proud of their establishment and quite rightly so ..... we arrived as visitors but left ....tearfully ....as friends. We would not hesitate to return to The Aenos and will definitely go back in the future. Thank you so much Nikolas, Loukas, Pantelis and your wonderful team. From Wendy & Neil Sayers (Devon, UK) x.x.x
