On first site tbe place was lovely staff was very friendly sadly after hours we tried to use the tv and this had very poor signal the bedside lights didn't work my wife had a late night bath after the plug was removed there was a awful smell of sewage that stunk the room out we left very early in the morning and there was no one about that we could let know of our issues. I called them the second I had time to be spoken to in the worst possible way saying well u didn't tell anyone and well yr not having a refund the room was £110 for the night and to be spoken like that is a total disgrace never again

This is the second time i have been here, for the same reason. I just needed a bed reasonably close to Worthing Golf Club where i was playing in a tournament the next day. Its a proper oak panelled pub bar area, with a large garden. The rooms are not glamorous but exactly what you would expect here. The food was amazing. I had a Citrus and Herb Cod affair which being at the venue i was in, outstanding. Lots of good beer, some great Grand National history with the winner from 1981 Aldaniti being trained near here. The welcome by Sandi i think it was, and her and the rest of the staffs work in the evening was great....they dealt with regulars, people like me on my own, a large family group and others all speedily. Lets hope my golf is as good. Looking forward to coming back next year.

Had a nice table by the window .The menu is varied and good choice we both had a nice roast with lovely veg and makes such a difference to have swede and leaks red cabbage ! It was hot and didn't wait long staff were attentive .The garden is nice too ,was reasonable priced best ,we be back !

We were overcarged for a stay by £80 since they wouldn't honour a confirmation email that they sent us around a year ago. Never come across this before. Wont be going back. Various reasons given like - it was too long ago, the room had been refurbished, we extended the stay by 1 day , we shouldnt have received an email.

We stayed here the night after a wedding at Cissbury barns. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was excellent. Findon is a very pretty little village with lovely countryside around it. The room was good but would benefit from a little refurbishment and the bed was comfy. We really enjoyed our stay.

The place is pretty clean. Some of the rooms are shared bathroom which isn’t an issue if no one in the other room. Both nights the smoke alarm went off (v loud) at 8am. The drains smelt and the taps and extractor fan were weirdly loud. Staff were lovely

Breakfast was included in the amount we prepaid to stay at this hotel, but when we checked in we were told that breakfast was not available on Mondays. We were not offered any refund, and had to spend £70 at a nearby cafe. Worse, we were lectured as if we were school children for (obviously by mistake) taking a wrong turn inside the hotel. We certainly did not get a warm welcome at this hotel and it was pretty embarrassing as it was the first night in Britain for my New Zealand friends who were with me.

Great Pub, Rooms comfortably and clean and nice. Food was exceptional, was one of the nicest pub meals I have ever had, great choice and many specials , a great place to stay, highly recommended and good value. Staff very friendly and welcoming

Food and service absolutely amazing, had a lovely Mother’s Day meal here, staff lovely thanks so much for a lovely afternoon spent with the family, children catered for and a lovely location, peaceful surroundings and nothing was too much trouble
