Best Hotels near JR Kaguraoka Station, Asahikawa

I visited in the winter to become minus 20 ℃. I used a room with a bunk bed by myself. The air conditioner is on, but the upper bunk bed is hot and the lower is cold. I slept on the upper stage at first because the air didn't circulate well, but it was hot and I decided to use the lower stage. The accommodation is very beautiful, modern, new, very large, close to shopping centers, various important places. Traveling is comfortable in the room, there are a lot of amenities, the staff are very caring. Overall, it is considered to be very good, suitable for families. It's just a waste. We had some problems getting to the hotel, as Google maps insisted on pointing us to another deserted building down the street (which also had a sign Takasago onsen). The hotel itself is very similar to other big spa hotels we stayed in, reasonably comfortable rooms, big buffet meals, but the quality of the food was so so, but the highlight of the place was the onsen, with about 10 inside pools and a nice outside jacuzzi. I guess that was the big attraction for all the tourist groups.

Location was good. We drove a MPV and had to park in the private carpark wha two minutes walk away. Breakfast was surprisingly good.

Because it is an old hotel Leopard Asahikawa, there is a Leopard office at the entrance, and it may not be seen at the entrance of the hotel for a moment. ２０ If you check in by the time, you can have a drink 1 cup free (alcohol). The parking lot is a bit difficult to understand, but the cospa and location are good, so I want to use it again.

I’m very surprised by the relatively low rating of this hotel. We had a very good experience here, and found the room to be spacious and comfortable (though fairly typical old-school Japanese hotel). Service was good overall and the breakfast was delicious. The hotel is located in the best part of Asahikawa, near the main train station and the very cool and fun shopping street. The hotel also has an outdoor parking lot located immediately behind the hotel. Our only hiccup was that we arrived slightly before the 1500 check in time (we arrived at 1440) and were told we had to wait until exactly 1500 to check in. This is Japan and I appreciate being a stickler for the rules, but sometimes good customer service is about making calculated exceptions. Maybe next time. We would certainly recommend this place to others.
