This trip was for work. Great location allowing access to the areas needed in the north east. Setting was good too being next to a gorgeous lake. The front of house staff were really friendly and helped with a few questions I had. The rooms and areas were clean, the bed was comfortable as per usual. No complaints and was good value. See you again soon.

Another great stay, the friendly receptionist are so helpful, nothing is too much trouble. We experienced a power cut while there but the team were brilliant in dealing with it even though some other guests were giving them a hard time as if it was their fault, professional at all times. It didn't affect us and was over quickly. Will be returning very soon.

Any place can lose power, then it's about how the hotel team deal with it. Premier Inn dealt with it poorly. The reaction was very much....yes that happens here, it will hopefully come back on soon. There was no immediate apology, asking if we were OK, offering anything. Not good service. Also our room was tired compared to other prem inns we've stayed in. Smelled strongly of bleach, not a good welcome! Then had a nasty stale whiff. Overall this premier inn looks and feels like it needs a refresh....and the power issue sorted properly

Stayed here a few times solo as my local town. Reception and check in is fine and secure. Rooms are standard Premier Inn and comfortable beds and adequate bathroom and tv. Chez long is a bonus and rooms face either back road or lake. Woodwork Grange Restaurant is fine and meal deal of evening meal and all you can eat breakfast is worth paying for. Lake is a nice walk and Ashington 5 minutes drive with Morpeth approx 10 - 15 minutes. Cresswell and Newbiggin Beaches approx 10 minutes. Coastal Route North approx 10 minutes. No pets allowed in hotel. Would stay again.

Bed comfy and huge. Nice bath (yay!) though water not terribly hot. Bathroom floor cold. Room heating didn't work and I was cold when I arrived & no way of warming up. In fact, it blew frigid air so the room got colder. Nowhere to dry wet clothes & footwear & own towels etc after day walking in rain or on beach - major issue when not even a way of turning room heating up! Room not well stocked with coffee, sugar etc though more available at reception if you went to get it in advance. No lift, stairs to lug heavy bags up and down. Parking good and secure. TV selection OK, WiFi not very reliable but sufficed for a quick browse by 1 person; struggled with 2 of us at same time. Very very expensive compared to other self catering or room only I've used.

Ashington, set in a fantastic location and so central for exploring the area. Staff are great and as usual premier in standards are met. My only complaint is the lack of fresh air in my room was a disappointment but other than a slight musty smell from the wet room and little space to manoeuvre near the bed ( I’m a wheelchair user ) it’s fine to use as a touring base which we did. Would I recommend yes definitely. Typical premier inns standard and super comfy bed

We have stayed at this hotel before and love the area and setting but this time we felt our visit wasn’t as good as others. We had a room on the back of the hotel so facing the hedge by the road so it wasn’t a pretty view this time! The window frame on the outside was quite dirty (could see it when you opened the window) and as it was near reception (room 26) it had delivery Lorrie’s parking outside the window in the morning by so it didn’t feel very private. The room had an anointing door which was obviously locked but our children didn’t settle on the first night as they thought someone could open it from the other side and come through. The hotel was fully booked so there was no chance of moving rooms. The duvet on the main bed was as flat as a pancake, not the usual puffy duvet you get and very thin so didn’t feel as comfy in bed. The shower over the bath was a fixed shower head so couldn’t be lowered which was a bit of a pain for the children. The room felt a bit outdated compared to other rooms we have stayed in … I’m not sure if this is the case but that’s what it felt like. We will return but will request a room on the front.

Set beside a nice lake with a very pothole car park entrance. Some rooms are a bit tired, without any usb outlet,so bring a socket adapter. Wifi is a very dodgy connection and very, very slow. Nice to have an actual bat in the bathroom. The provided shower gel is very watery and does not foam. It is best to bring your own. Poor clothes storage provision, although if you are here only a night or two, it will be fine.

Such a beautiful location. Small drive to blyth beach. Staff really friendly at hotel. One of the quietest hotels I have ever stayed at. Breakfast was fab. Definitely will stay again.
