Aswan Hotels with Gym

The check-in process became a bit unpleasant as their stated policies did not match what was written in our trip.com booking confirmation. This included check-in time and number of guests for the room. We included our children and even had their ages listed in the confirmation. Upon check-in we were told that it was only a room for two adults. We were then instructed to pay extra for one child. Policies should be conveyed clearly when booking so we can know what to expect. Otherwise, the room had a beautiful view and the kids enjoyed the large pool. The breakfast buffet had a great selection.

After checking in and entering the room on the 8th floor of the hotel on February 6, a drone flew to the glass lamp on the balcony, and the glass exploded all over the floor. After the incident, the hotel manager explained that it had nothing to do with them and did not want to be responsible. He asked us to communicate and solve the problem with the drone flyer by ourselves, and did not mention their security negligence. After communicating with Ctrip customer service, they kept dragging their feet and not solving the problem. Every time when the time node agreed to give the result was reached, the reply they got was always that there was no result yet and more time was needed. No matter how good the hardware facilities are, I will never come to such a hotel again! The scenery is quite good. The service attitude is quite average. I went to the front desk and asked if I could pay for the room in Egyptian pounds. My attitude was extremely harsh. I didn't want to move to the hotel on the second night, so I inquired about extending my stay. The front desk asked me to go back to the room and call me. In the end, I didn't receive a call, so I checked out directly. The rooms in this hotel are quite large, and the facilities are relatively old. It feels like they are chosen by locals. In addition, you must choose the number of people according to the actual number. I accidentally selected one person, and ended up paying a price difference of dozens of dollars.

The location of the accommodation was good. It was very nice because there were many restaurants nearby and instant restaurants such as KFC and McDonald's. Also, there was a grocery store about 10 minutes away, which was great for picking up something. I arrived earlier than the original check-in time and was confused, but the staff helped me check in quickly. And the staff at the hotel were always friendly. When we had to check out early in the morning for a tour, they left our luggage and even prepared breakfast for each of us. Thanks to this, I didn't have to starve during the tour, which was great haha. Next time I come to Aswan again, I want to use it again and recommend it to my friends!

The facilities are old, and the hardware conditions are not as good as those of domestic express hotels such as Home Inn and Hanting, but there is nothing we can do about it in Aswan. Hotels under RMB 1,000 basically have such poor conditions. If you want a better one, you have to spend RMB 2,000+. The service is still warm. My teammate had gastroenteritis and took a taxi to the hospital. The front desk saw something was wrong and came up to ask about it, offering to call a doctor for us and even running errands to buy medicine for us.

It is said that hotels in Aswan are expensive but not good. Maybe it was because my expectations were lowered. Instead, I think this hotel is very cost-effective. The first is the location, on the side of the Nile, on the top you can overlook the Nile. It is very pleasant to watch the sunset. The second is the facilities. Although they are older (if you travel frequently, you should know that the world is unable to compete with the fast-developing China than the new ones), but the level of construction is definitely at least three stars. Much better than the same price in Cairo. Look at the service again. I arrived in the middle of the night and my brother was very warm. When I heard that I was going to join the group at four in the morning, Ma Shan helped me arrange a wake-up service. Early the next morning, a large pack of breakfast was prepared, enough for two or three people. When I left, because the train was at three in the afternoon, I hope to leave the store two hours late. They agreed without saying anything. The Egyptian tradition is to do things to give tips. This is not for foreigners. During the stay, whenever I had a problem, they patiently helped and did not ask for tips. Instead, I am embarrassed. Looking at breakfast again, it may not suit the taste, but the richness is enough. There are nearly ten kinds of bread, as well as freshly baked food. Coffee is instant, which is unacceptable to me. But it cannot be said that they are bad. Compared to my other hotels in Egypt, I definitely like this one better.

Other prices are very unreasonable. We originally wanted to book dinner for the New Year's Eve party, but it cost 100 US dollars per person... What did we get here? 1. The balcony of the room can see the unbeatable sunrise on the west bank of the Nile. We witnessed the first light of 2025 here at 6 am. 2. The various poses in the cultural buildings of the Nubian Village are very photogenic. 3. The desert next to the hotel is very photogenic. 4. A very special cultural experience of a group of tourists jumping up and down the mountain in a row of three-wheeled vehicles. 5. The hotel service staff is relatively friendly. Finally, it is explained that Egypt is not a country where tipping is allowed. Carrying luggage is a basic service of any hotel in their country. No one asked for tips during the entire stay.

The location of the hotel is a bit remote. I have reviewed some issues before, so I am mentally prepared, such as no slippers, unsuitable hair dryer socket, scattered rooms, no phone in the bedroom, inconvenient to contact the waiter, and having breakfast far away from the room and having to wait. Car transfer, etc. But all the dissatisfaction was erased by the view from the resort and breakfast room. I really recommend leaving more time for breakfast. It’s so comfortable to sit by the Nile River with the gentle breeze in the early morning.

Very good Treasure Hotel, with a strong Nubian style and small rooms with unique shapes. Right by the Nile. Although the room is not big, it is small and exquisite, clean and tidy, and the service is warm and thoughtful. It was very comfortable to stay for two days. The food in the restaurant is a bit ordinary, but the juice and sandwiches in the bar are very delicious. I don't think it is necessary to stay in the old waterfall hotel. This one is very good, but it is a bit far from the city.
