Fujima

This inn is located near Izu Tago Station, two stations from Atami. The Shinkansen and trains were stopped due to the weather, so we took a taxi from Mishima. (It cost about 8,000 yen) The inn was like a private lodging, but it was family-run and had a homey feel, and it was clean and the room was spacious and very comfortable. There was a toilet and a sink in the room, and it felt like two rooms were connected. Even though there were four of us and we laid out four futons, it felt spacious. There were two washing machines (detergent included) on the second floor, which was very convenient. It was free. There was no dryer, so we hung the clothes outside, but there was a rain cover. (It doesn't dry if it rains sideways...) At first glance, the dinner seemed a little small, but it was quite filling. The children's meals were also elaborate. It was about a five-minute walk to Nagahama Beach in front of the inn, and the lifeguards left around 4:30 p.m., so we were told to swim at our own risk, but we were able to swim a lot. Before entering the inn, I used the hot water shower outside to wash off the sand. There were three baths, so it felt like a private bath (one of which requires a reservation on the day), so I didn't have to worry about overlapping with other guests and was able to use it relatively quickly. At night, the lantern floating ceremony, the 108-piece bonfire, and the Nagahama Beer Festival happened to be held at Nagahama Beach, and I was able to enjoy the Ajiro Fireworks Festival from Nagahama Beach. There was a convenience store just a few minutes away, so it was convenient. There was a road in front of the inn, so it was noisy, but it didn't bother me too much. The next day, I was very grateful to have someone take me to the station. The people at the inn were kind and I had a comfortable stay.
