Atami Onsen Sakuraya Ryokan

We booked this hot spring hotel to watch the fireworks. It is very close to Atami. We also borrowed yukatas. The dinner and breakfast were very rich. There was also a welcome afternoon tea. In addition, the service was very good. They also sent us to the nearby station. We were very satisfied.

Although there was a parking lot, it was a little far from the hotel, which was disappointing for the elderly. (The hotel staff tried to drive and park the car for us, but we declined because we are very particular about our car.) The food was very delicious, and we booked a room with an open-air bath, so we were able to relax in the room.

Disadvantages: When checking in, I specifically asked if I could store my luggage at the hotel after checking out. The check-in person said yes. When checking out, a fat old man with glasses told me that the luggage can only be stored until 12 noon. I asked if it could be stored until 3 pm. The answer was no no no. The hotel reception is quite large and there are many staff. I was not informed of the time limit for storing luggage when I checked in. It is easy to delay the itinerary. Such an inflexible hotel is difficult to survive. Advantages: The hotel carefully prepares breakfast and dinner and the service is very good. Although there is a basic language barrier, except for the fat old man with glasses at the front desk, the hotel staff are all serving seriously. The hotel is very close to Atami Station, but you have to walk up a 20-meter-high staircase. If a girl is carrying a large luggage alone, it is almost impossible to walk (but most places in Atami require high stairs)

The service, breakfast and dinner were very good, especially the wagyu set menu, and the desserts were also great. You can eat until you are full and can enjoy it slowly. However, there was no view outside the window of our room, and the view on the first floor was pretty good.

The room was clean. The sea was beautiful even though it was hidden by the building from the window. There are many stairs in the surrounding area, which is difficult for the elderly, but this is unavoidable due to the locality of Atami. Bad point ・Although it was only one person, the elderly woman who served was winter without using honorifics at all. I tried to get my 95-year-old grandmother and sisters out of the chair because it was difficult to serve them. It's insane.・When someone gives me shoes, I always have to go look for them myself without knowing which one. If you don't understand it, please don't keep it. I want you to make a note of the room number.・Beef stew tastes worse than making it yourself. I was surprised that all the meat soup was out.・The banquet hall is very cold. The reason is that we use fire, but even though it's February, I'm shivering and waiting without heating.・There is an open-air bath, but you can't see the atmosphere at all. No repeats.
