This hotel is right next to the Mishima train station for both regular JR trains and Shinkansen trains on Tokyo-Osaka line. One can walk in without even cross the road. Access if from the first floor (ground) and the reception is in the second floor. There is a small shopping area in the ground floor. Rooms are of good size with separate seating area. Beds are comfortable and have all facilities expected in a first class hotel. More importantly the toilet and bathroom are in sperate enclosures. If one gets the station side rooms, one could see Mt Fuji in all its glory. Breakfast is good with a choice of Japanese and western dishes; and staff is quite helpful. The only issue is that noise insulation could be little better; it is certainly not comparable to what we found in a hotel situated next to a busy train track.

The whole accommodation experience is very good, the environment is really beautiful, the BBQ and campfire at night are very relaxing, family and friends are very satisfied, and it is very close to the Shiguoyu Observatory, and there is a different scenery in a few minutes. The berth is wide and friendly to self-driving travelers, but the entrance is slightly narrow, driving a vehicle the size of Alphard may be a bit difficult, but it should be enough. Absolutely a encore accommodation.

We wanted to experience something special during this long-awaited trip to Japan and were referred to this ryokan (traditional inn) by a former client of mine. On paper, it has several things going for it: It’s located directly on the train route between Tokyo and Kyoto; Features both a large onsen (mineral bath) and private tubs in the rooms; Includes both breakfast and dinner. Also, it threw me a bit at first but was actually quite reassuring that the website for this ryokan is entirely in Japanese. I took that as a sign of its authenticity, and management was very gracious to correspond in English via email. When we arrived, we were not disappointed with the warm welcome and very comfortable accommodations. Although our room was the smallest at the inn, it was actually a small suite of rooms with lots of modern amenities as well as traditional decor. We changed into our yokatas and lounged in our sitting room enjoying tea and snacks before dinner. That dinner was amazing! Having notified management that our aging knees do not allow us to sit on the floor in the traditional Japanese manner, we were delighted that they arranged a private dining room and server for us. We’d never before seen such an ongoing stream of exotic and delicious foods. After a while, we just laughed as our server brought us more and more dishes. Our private mineral bath was the perfect way to unwind after dinner. I’m not sure what minerals are in the piping hot water, but it felt so good. Sleeping on tatami mats was a challenge, but not impossible. In the morning, breakfast was a slightly shorter version of dinner, with multiple small dishes of beautiful and delicious foods. Before checkout time, we had some time for a walk down to the beach and around the neighborhood. Finally, when it was time to leave, the inn provided a ride to the train station. Everyone we encountered at this ryokan was so gracious and accommodating. It was a wonderful, relaxing, and unforgettable experience. Be aware, though, that this type of inn is not cheap. Most of them charge per person per night. But if you want to pamper yourself, I highly recommend this place.

I’m a little torn to rate the location average because it can be a pain to get to if you don’t have a car, but the view from the room (apparently all rooms have view of the sea) is great. A lot of variety for breakfast but nothing really stood out. I didn’t get to visit the onsen because they don’t allow tattooed people. I would stay again, especially in summer on a fireworks day!

When leaving the store, the service staff helped to call the taxi, and also offered to help us take photos in front of the hotel.

Hotel is near to the Mishima JR station (about 7-10 mins’ walk instead of the stated 3 mins) but it was at the opposite side of the station where all the eateries and amenities were. Could get really dark to walk from the station especially for the ladies. Public bath/onsen was not bad but the outdoor pool was overhyped. There was a cold pool, sauna too. There are 2 massage chairs. Overall, an dated hotel that serves its purpose for a brief stay with tea and coffee dispenser in the lobby.

The hotel is on the edge of a cliff and the view is very good, especially for watching the fireworks display. We stayed at the hotel on the night of the fireworks display. It was very comfortable to watch it directly in the room. There was no need to go to the crowded beach. The price of 2900 is not cheap. It seems to be only 1000 in the off-season. The hotel is some distance from the train station, so walking is not practical. The hotel has a shuttle bus that leaves every 20 minutes but is often not on time. As a result, we didn't get on the bus after eating near the train station that night. The taxi back to the hotel cost more than 2,000 yen. expensive. In fact, it is very convenient to take the Yuyou Line bus. The hotel is very large and there are many people. It has three hot springs. We soaked in two of them and they were all great.

The room was very large and clean, just on the mountain, it took a long time to climb with luggage, and the physical strength could not keep up. There is no bathroom in the room, and it is a bit inconvenient to go to the toilet and drink water in the corridor.

The hardware of the hotel is good, but it is very expensive on the day of watching the fireworks. The price is more than 2,000 per night, but it is not easy to get a room. What I'm speechless about is that the automatic check-in process is so terrible. I spent a full 40 minutes in front of my iPad. The operator didn't understand Chinese or English and couldn't understand. He had to write down his identity information and his domestic address. Everything had to be video-recorded with the operator. Make sure I am myself before I will send you a room password. This is the first time in my life to experience such a stay. There weren't any waiters in the hotel, but luckily it was not easy to get it done in the end.

It takes 2 minutes to walk to the central area of ​​the Fireworks Festival, and 5 minutes to walk to the pier to take a boat to Hatsushima. Service: There are several non-Japanese staff in the hotel, who seem to be from India. They are fluent in Japanese and English, and the communication is basically barrier-free, but there are no Chinese-speaking staff. Consulting about buying medicine, watching fireworks, borrowing a thermometer, helping to call a car, etc., the service is very thoughtful and enthusiastic. It was raining when we left on the last day, and the front desk took us to a taxi with an umbrella. Environment: Everyone is very friendly, about 90% of Japanese local tourists, the atmosphere is very good. Insufficient: The next day, because the child was uncomfortable, I stayed in the room for a whole day, so I hung do not disturb on the door. The room did not need to be cleaned. Housekeeping put the replacement towels, bathrobes, etc. at the door. On the third day, the child got better. After going out to play for a day, he posted something to be cleaned on the door early in the morning. After a long day of playing, he still piled up all the things at the door of the room like the day before. He didn’t even notice that I posted it on the door. The sign is to be cleaned.
