The Pinnacle Athens

We ended our two weeks in Europe with a final nights stay at The Pinnacle post cruise. I can’t recall how I came across this beautiful boutique hotel, but am very happy I did. Their welcoming entrance led us into a lovely bright lobby with an exceptionally friendly welcome from the desk staff. We arrived at about noon and check in isn’t until 3. They held our luggage, told us to enjoy Athens and they would call as soon as our room was ready. When we got back all of our luggage had already been taken up for us. Our room was beautifully appointed. It was not a big room, customary for European hotels, but was laid out perfectly, with meticulous attention paid to a well organized space. A bottle of Greek wine and a delightful welcome basket of treats were left for us (thank you so much as we snacked on those treats during our long journey home.). The roof top garden is beautiful and we loved sitting up there. I don’t know much about Athens but honestly don’t think the location of The Pinnacle could have been any better. The vibrant Athens market was around the corner. Several pavilions visited daily by the residents of Athens. Fish, meat, produce. Really fun to walk through. Spice shops lined the streets. Turn right as you step out the main entrance and you have a plethora of amazing restaurants to choose from. If you chose The Pinnacle for your Athens accommodations ask them to sign you up for the AMAZING INCREDIBLE food tour in the neighborhood offered by Delicious Athens. This is a service the hotel offers. No up charge. It is at the top of list as one of best tours we had during our two weeks. Sadly we ate so much on the food tour we were way too full to eat at The Pinnacle. We were on the roof top enjoying some great Greek wine as others ate. The food looked amazing and the smiles indicated the food tasted the same.

The Pinnacle Athens is a lovely hotel in central Athens. It is quiet, clean, with nice rooms, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. We stayed at the hotel on a family vacation for a little more than a week, and we enjoyed every single day. The hotel is located next to a pedestrian street with short distances to bars, shops, and dining places and close to Athens' fantastic food market. Monastiraki, Omonia, Plaka, and all the main archaeological sites and museums with the Acropolis as the highlight are within walking distance, making The Pinnacle Athens the perfect starting point for a wonderful vacation in Athens.

The room and the property were great, but it was the staff that made the stay truly fantastic. Always there to lend a helping hand and provide recommendations! Would gladly return to this property time and time again.

Beautiful and clean hotel. The views from the top floor with the restaurant was breathtaking as you gaze at the acropolis. Staff was friendly and polite. Definitely from the moment you step inside you immediately see 5 star quality. Highly recommended and will visit again. The surrounding areas doesn’t reflect as much, with homeless individuals not far from street restaurants. Nevertheless the inside experience was exceptional. From an experienced traveler. Also don’t be afraid to take the Meteora Tour, definitely worth it.
