Good location, breakfast ok, room small (as booked) but generally ok. However, shower cabin leaks the water all over the bathroom and the TV couldn’t be used since the power cord is lose.

Nice hotel with a superb rooftop pool and bar allowing you to enjoy the sight of the Acropolis in the distance. Loved the pool area but was disappointed with the bedroom. The bathroom light design meant that when visiting the toilet in the night the light shone through into the bedroom waking the other occupant. The breakfast buffet was quite comprehensive. We enjoyed our stay, however, the noise from the streets outside gave us very little sleep over the 2 nights we were there.

Upon checking in, I was told I had no choice to give a credit card for a €100 'hold' on my card, for minibar, room service etc. Upon checkout, I was told it was easier for my to pay for the things charged to my room separately upfront, as it's easier to release the full €100 on the card. It had been over a month and a half and this money has not been returned. I have contacted and been ignored by the hotel staff, clearly just a way to rip you off. Additionally, the hotel take as many walk ins from the street for the pool as possible, so good luck getting a space if you're a guest.

Melia Athens was booked as a chance to slow things down after 2 weeks of aggressive touring. Our stay there was terrific in more ways than we expected. We knew about the rooftop infinity pool with a stunning view of the Acropolis. But the privately managed spa on that floor motivated us to add massage to the relaxation theme. We also returned to the rooftop setting for lovely, soothing nighttime views. Our room was spacious, attractive and comfortable. It was serviced as frequently as we wished. And was that real marble in the bathroom? On the subject of service, the front desk staff was always available and willing. But excelling at a whole other level was Denise. Her efforts and presence during this stay will be a lasting part of our Athens memories! The property is attractive and well kept. The location is slightly removed from the mayhem of the crowded tourist areas, yet only a 20 minute walk if you want to go. There is also a major metro station a couple of blocks away. We bought the breakfast inclusion and it was a pretty solid buffet to launch the day. Dinner at the rooftop restaurant was overpriced, but there was that evening view which could be enjoyed with a beverage instead.

Stayed here with my family 5 rooms for a few days sightseeing in Athens. Easy transfer of about 35 mins from the airport. Hotel reception friendly, helpful. Rooms (superior) with whirlpool bath, comfy beds and most facilities though you need to ask for a kettle supplied free. Breakfast is a combination of Greek continental and sort of western, but really good quality well stocked and staff are helpful and responsive. In the height of summer the rooftop pool and bar are a well deserved space from the heat. There are loungers and a seating area but lots of etiquette with guests just taking their turns as beds became available. Beer 7 euros, cocktails 12-14, nicely prepared by happy staff. Pool was big enough for the hotel needs but busy especially in an afternoon. The food offerings pizza, dips, burgers etc good. Towels supplied. Distance from syntagma square 20 mins walk in a straight line. Supermarket 4 mins walk. Would recommend this hotel it was good

My one night stay here has been incredible! The room the pool the bar the spa (highly recommend a massage) has been a very wonderful stay! The staff are so friendly and helpful. I’ll be staying at this hotel chain in Menorca and Madrid. I am looking forward to it so much!
