Atlanta Hotels with Pools

Very bad hotel to be a luxury Marriott. The corridors are dirty we find socks and pampers in floor 19. The elevators work poorly. They take a long time and you have to go up to be able to go down. There is no body wash in the two rooms we have. Too many people. Oversaturated. The room they gave us was occupied. They changed us to another one and it was in someone else’s name so we had to go down to the counter again.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. Loads of amenities are available, food is on point, and service is top-notch. Would definitely consider this my go-to Atlanta hotel of choice.

entering the lobby from the front door or ascending the escalator, we saw a gold sculpture (of which I will supply a photo). and the lovely balconies and glass elevators. Our room was modern with outlets for both USB and USC as well as for regular plugs. A very large TV on the dresser, and ample drawer and closet space along with a balcony which we could enter from our room, were the room amenities. The location is on Peachtree Street, very convenient to the convention center below and to several nice restaurants (including Ray's in the City) and the convention center. Friendly, helpful and efficient staff.\ made this hotel a good place to stay for a business meeting, but close to world of coca cola and the Georgia aquarium for family to visit.

Used this hotel as a base to explore Atlanta and locations further out in North Georgia. I was travelling alone so tended to spend a lot of time in the room of an evening. I would say it was a fairly average experience and things were fine but I had expected a little more from the Sheraton brand. Photographs of communal areas like bars, restaurants and pool look far better online than they do in real life. Simply put, the hotel looks a lot nicer in pictures. My room had a slightly stale smell but the biggest issue I had with the aircon/heater. I couldn't change the temperature because it was broken and it couldn't seem to be fixed. Sadly that meant it was never quite right, either too cold or too hot and I had an engineer visit the room two or three times. One night, the mental cover panel hadn't been reattached properly and fell off in the night - unsurprisingly giving me an almighty scare! I don't remember being offered a new room (I *could* be wrong about that) and I don't particularly remember the desk staff being keen to help and get the issues sorted. In fact, they didn't seem delighted whenever anyone went to speak to them. Almost like the front desk was just part of their day job and they were juggling several other things - so probably not their fault. That did change in the evening when they seemed to have friends visiting in the lobby - music playing from phones and loud conversations. This didn't massively bother me, but I could see it being intimidating for someone looking to visit the front desk. Location was close enough to the tourist district (Centenntial Park, World of Coca-Cola etc) to walk but the area around the hotel feels a little run down. I'm never one complain about situations that can't be helped, but I think this hotel may be local to a homeless shelter and that meant quite a few people pitching very near the hotel. I don't think there was one occasion coming to and from the hotel on foot when I wasn't approached for money/food etc. One of these times was slightly nervy as the man became quite insistent and aggressive when I said I couldn't help. Generally, and this may be just me not feeling confident and knowing the area, I don't always feel ”safe” walking back to the hotel after dark. That may just be me! Lots of food options nearby though, so well located for that. Had a rental car and the parking facilities are good. All in all, it was fine but I've stayed at far nicer Sharatons and the pictures available perhaps offer a higher impression than the reality. With a little more effort and sharpening up service, customers would feel much more welcome. The aircon and heater issue was a frustration and I didn't really feel like it was taken very seriously. I personally wouldn't stay again as I like to spend time at my hotel but it was certainly a cheaper option than other hotels in the area, so it would be good for someone using it purely as a base looking for value for money.

This was the absolute worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in! After switching rooms three times, the conditions were still absolutely deplorable! Unfortunately, we were stuck here since we were out of town celebrating a friend’s birthday and all other hotels were booked to capacity since it was so last-minute. I have never been more appalled in my life as I was speaking to the general manager who made it seem as though the dirtiness of the hotel was a form of normalcy post Covid. All I received was excuses as to why things were dirty and that they were short-staffed and do not have the personnel to ensure cleanliness amongst all of the rooms. The attached pictures show the couch in a lounge area which I was told the spring breakers come and ruin everything and then leave. This may be true, however when you damage a hotel, I know for a fact you are charged an additional fee. It appears as though they would like to pocket the fee rather than clean and sterilize the areas that are badly stained and damaged. Also, there was a nicotine gum wrapper on the floor as we walked in, a dirty toilet and hair in the toilet as well as the tub which I attached some of the pictures. . The sink was stopped up the entire stay and the electric went off for a period of time. The air conditioner unit seem to make some weird noise every time we turn the unit off and would not stop until the unit was turned back on. There was a stain on the ceiling and the ceiling was a popcorn ceiling which should’ve been a hint and a half that this hotel did not care about esthetics and was dated. As you walk into the lobby, it smelled of pool water and chlorine. It was a terrible and very offputting smell. I cannot say enough about how terrible this stay was in addition to everything else that we experienced, from around 12 AM to 4 AM in the morning, teenagers were running up and down the hallway playing around and chasing each other unsupervised. When I called up to the front lobby so that they could rectify this matter, they did absolutely nothing even though they told me they would send someone out to correct it. They never did and the teens continued to reek havoc throughout the night. My best advice to any customer considering this hotel is to stay far far away and never stay here!!! They do offer a free breakfast but it’s absolutely terrible and inedible. I was so distraught about this stay that I want to make other potential guests to please stay away! Additionally, you will not be receiving a refund if you do encounter these terrible and unfortunate circumstances so do yourself a favor and book elsewhere! If you don’t mind these type of conditions, you might as well stay at $25 a night motel! I have attempted to reach out to the manager, Sal and was advised I would get a call back but never have. I opted to even email him at the same email address he reached out to me with, still nothing! I’m confused as to why he would reach out to me if he had no intentions of actually he

The Good: I really like this place. My son went to Ga Tech and we always tried to stay here during the college years and then afterwards when visiting him or going to GT football games. Great location. Rooms very clean and most staff exceptional (see “the Bad”). Ten years of happy times there. Breakfast buffet is nice, but pricey and the parking next door is $18 per day. The Bad: I normally drive up from Florida and its difficult to time arrival. So normally I arrive a few hours before check in time. For ten years they always checked me in early if the room was ready, which it often was. I liked that, friendly clerk with a nice smile letting me know that they valued me with the early check in. For ten years…. until this time. Arrived around noon and was told that early check in cost $30. That is 15-20% of the room rate! I expressed my surprise they would want to squeeze me for money to access something that was sitting idle. After all, there is no extra cost or effort for an early check in and it staggers people arriving over time rather than all at once. They often have one person at the desk, so spreading out the guests is a plus for them. And, it’s not a resort where gusts want to use the hotel benefits (pool, beach, etc.). People often check in, drop their bags a go about their business. It’s a convenience. So, we had a somewhat sharp but polite discussion about this. In the end, a woman was called in and she waived the $30 with a look of disgust and I checked in. Sad, sad, sad that they tried to squeeze me. The Ugly. Is this the start of a fees for extras game. What is next? Wi-Fi for a fee like at some Marriotts? A resort or convention fee like at many beach hotels? Does this wonderful hotel, associated with Georgia Tech really want to appear as a nickel-dime place scrounging for a few extra dollars? That’s what they looked like. I hope not. So, GT Hotel. Be nice to your customers. Let them feel welcome and valued. Don’t take fees for things that doesn’t result in extra costs for you. In other words, go back the way you were.

My wife and I had a staycation at the Le Meridien Hotel 6/11/22. Calvin, our Front Desk Associate welcomed us with a friendly and welcomed smile. He was the ultimate consummate professional who treated us royally. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning again.

Yes, Atlanta's famous attractions are right next to the hotel and within walking distance! Very convenient

The hotel is very nice. The opportunity was upon checking in at the hotel at between 8:30pm - 9:30pm the female was not friendly at all. She was very abrupt in speaking. As a Platinum Elite when I asked about points she told me that I would not get points for my stay. Also, at approximately 4am in the morning, someone was trying to get Into our room, when my boyfriend went to the door to tell the female who appeared to be drunk she just keep insisting for him to open the door. I called down to the Front Desk to let them know and whoever it was that worked that shift came upstairs to get that person. I am a Corporate person who travels 99% for my job and Marriott hotels are our company Preferred hotel. As I stated the rooms are very nice inside, I now will have to travel to Atlanta now for business due to it now being my territory, but I am reluctant in choosing this hotel due to the check-in experience. But, I can say that my check-out experience was much better from your front desk guy this morning.
