The “suite” we stayed had two double beds, separated by a strange makeshift shelf. The air in the room smelled of mildew and mold, even with the air conditioner unit running the whole time. There was paint chipping off of the walls in the shower, and the shower nozzle sprayed water every direction but the right one. They left us two large towels for three people. The lobby appeared modern and clean and smelled of strong disinfectant. However, our room was not modern or clean. I killed a roach on my second night. There was a dehumidifier in the corner which had standing water that hadn’t been emptied or cleaned. For $200 a night and no breakfast included, this was a disappointment and I would not recommend it to anyone. I’d rather stay in Morehead City in a cleaner hotel and drive the extra 10 minutes to Emerald Isle.

Overall, it was good value for the price. Each unit is individually owned, so when you rent one, you don't actually know what amenities will be there. I rented a King suite. There were some inconveniences, like the TV was in the bedroom part, not the part with the sofa, which doesn't work for me. There were no chairs on the balcony, and the only chairs in the suite were tall backless bar stools that were uncomfortable. Bed was too soft to be comfortable. The microwave, fridge, and coffeemaker were in good condition. The cabinets were too high to really be useful unless you are very tall. No place to hang things on hangers. Bathroom was okay. WiFi was excellent. Location was pretty convenient for a 4-block walk to the beach and for access to main road to attractions and restaurant and grocery store.

The size of the room was convenient, and the "steps" leading down into the sitting area was unique. The balcony and gazebo were also a plus. What i was disappointed with was the fact that when we walked into the room, there was no toilet paper available anywhere in the room, my reservation was for 3 people (me, my husband, and my son), hiwever we only had 2 sets of towels with no extras, and no iron or ironing board. When I'm paying good money to rent a room, especially for 3 days, i expect enough towels, toilet paper, and i expect to see housekeeping at least once. We saw housekeeping in other rooms, but never came to ours to see if we needed anything. My son asked for towels, in which she took dirty towels, but did not give us clean ones in return. We had to go to front desk by the end of the night to ask for towels. We went out and bought towels and toilet paper.

What a great place to stay at…room was clean and it overlooked the marsh which is beautiful in the evening…staff was very friendly and it’s close to everything…I loved the gazebo with the furniture…fresh coffee every time I needed a cup and even had a cookie!

Initially thought the room was great, but then: the coffee maker had disgusting build up inside the water reservoir which I had to clean myself before using it. People were smoking pot in the room next door causing the entire floor to smell of it, the elevator stopped working multiple times during the stay, and the wifi barely worked.
Pros: close to dining and beach music festival and comfy bed

First arrived at 4:00pm. Could not check-Iin due to no clean rooms. Received a call around 6:45 stating room was ready. Bed was awful. Felt like it was sleeping on bricks. Manager was super pleasant. Overall it was a decent place to stay.
