Requested to borrow an iron but was given the brush off. Told to go back the next morning (it seems they do not ''work'' in the evenings). Went to the reception the next morning at least 4 times to ask and remind and each time I was creative answers from ''didn't they give you already?'' to ''it's with another guest'', to finally, ''we don't have any''. If they had simply said they do not provide right from the beginning rather than played around, I would not have been so disgusted with the poor attitude. They offered to press my shirt instead but who would dare trust them after all the run-around, by the very same receptionist?!

Rooms are very small and very basic, like a jail cell with one very tiny window. Rooms temperature is controlled by the management so they choose if you get air conditioning or not. So when it’s hot outside, your room is very very hot too but when you tell them, they act like it is the first time they are hearing it; don’t be fooled, they know exactly what’s going on. Service in the front desk with the exception of two people is completely non-existent and you have to try very hard to get service and responses. The girl in the front desk with the black hair is usually smoking in the back office and playing on her phone and the restaurant staff have to tell her to come out to serve at the front desk. The other blonde haired girl, her name starts with A, is very mean and rude to most guests Omar and Asma are very nice. Housekeeping is super slow and not organized. Restaurant staff provide no service at all, not even a greeting. If you ask a question, they clearly are not happy to be disturbed from playing on their cellphones. They hide in the corner and gossip all throughout the meal service and play on their phone. It is not walking distance to the Old Town, it’s quite a walk so be very prepared to walk or take a taxi. Use Bolt Taxi and drop the price 3 dinars if you want to negotiate a rate. Airport to hotel from departure area was about 7 dinars but you can get it at about five dinars. Food is horrible at the hotel but they do serve an overpriced breakfast buffet. Outside it is very Sandy and dusty.

It was a terrible experience at first that turned later to below average. I was surprised with a rude person who did my checkin. He was unprofessional, nor did he have the attitude neither the look of guest reception. The room was dirty, I had to change it ( I found dirty sheets and hair on the bed) the 2nd room was also dirty. The room had AC but they turned it off, the same rude guy from the reception was telling guests that the season for AC has not started when it was very hot and humid in there. They also activate the keycard for 48h then you have to go ask them to reactivate it again. They said the system had a problem but I guess they were doing it on purpose to make people go to the reception just in case. The room service was not on a daily basis and the breakfast was terrible. I’ll never go back.

I lived twice for a total of four days. The first time the quilt was already used, the other bird's hair was above, and it was good to go to the front desk to clean up. After an hour, I didn't come up, but I found it again. The waiter didn't come for 2 hours before and after. Finally, he found him to remove all of our sheets, quilts, and pillowcases. Très décevant pour un 5 etoiles, l hôtel la maison blanche a perdu son faste d antan.... On arrive sur les étages de chambres sur moquettes non aspirées depuis des mois certainement tellement elles sont sales, on découvre certe une chambre spacieuse ( d'où le critère 5 étoiles) mais qui est vétuste et a besoin de rafraîchissement, la salle de bain est spacieuse mais sans confort et surtout avec des articles de toilettes déjà utilisés.... La literie reste confortable. Le petit déjeuner est un cauchemar....pas digne d un 5 étoiles . Il faut demander pour avoir des viennoiseries, le café il faut racler les fonds de thermos pour en avoir car ils ne rechargent pas, le fromage qui date de on ne sait quand et la charcuterie sèche et déshydratée. Vraiment vivement que les responsables se rendent compte de ce qu est un vrai 5 étoiles et même en Tunisie .... Ouvrez vos yeux!!!

This hotel is located in the center of Tunisia and is an old hotel. As soon as I entered the hotel, I saw the big boss of the hotel supervising the work at the front desk. The boss also walked back and forth and helped with the management of the hotel. This was very impressive. The boss is polite and warm. I booked a suite this time and it was very clean and comfortable. The most unique thing is that there is a stool in the bathtub. This is specially arranged for the elderly or travelers with limited mobility. This is very thoughtful and deserves praise. It was very peaceful to sleep at night. The suite has a balcony with city views. The room includes meals, and the food is local specialties and delicious. I will stay at this hotel next time I go to Tunisia.

Negative: The moquettes are dirty and sliced as the restaurant seats. The ”quad” and ”pirate boat” services are poor and priceless. The real pirates are in the hotel ...A avoid ... The restaurant is very supermarket cafeteria. Although some supermarkets do much better. The price of the week is too high for the service and the country. The tourist has to pay and he does everything for. Positive: The staff is mostly sympathetic. The swimming pools are low (1m) but pleasant. The beach is in contact with the hotel.

The hotel is set at 3 stars at best, but safety is the first priority. Breakfast is average. The environment and food in Islamic countries cannot be complimented. It only costs 20 dinars from Tunisia airport to this hotel, but the airport rental is too bad and charges 50 dinars You, especially the hotel’s parking taxi drivers, must take pictures and keep them in order to avoid complaints when they are cheated. La Tunisia è decisamente economica. Per mangiare, fare benzina, shopping… Gli hotel, però, non sono proprio regalati. Almeno, non se si prenota dall’Italia, tramite Booking e cercando un minimo di rapporto qualità/prezzo. Questo albergo, a dieci minuti a piedi da Porte de France e, quindi, dall’ingresso della Medina, ha un buon rapporto qualità/prezzo ed è perfetto per girare la città. Le camere - noi avevamo una tripla - sono ampie e funzionali. I letti comodi. Il bagno grande e ben organizzato. Buono anche il livello igienico e varia la colazione compresa nel prezzo. Unica cosa, forse, migliorabile il segnale Wi-Fi nelle stanze. La reception è aperta h24 e per chi viaggia in macchina poco distante c’è un parcheggio a pagamento custodito. Consigliato.
